Abstract

The purpose of this study are to describe the pattern, function, category and the role of single sentence elements in the text description of students in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Pondok Kelapa Bengkulu Tengah academic year 2016-2017. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. Data and data sources in this study are single sentences in the text description of students in class VII SMP N 1 Pondok Kelapa Bengkulu Tengah academic year 2016/2017. Data analysis technique in this research using permutation technique and paraphrase technique. The results of the research found the following single sentence patterns, S-P, S-P-O, S-P-Pel, S-P-Ket, S-P-O-Ket, S-P-O-Pel, S-Ket-P-O, Ket-S-P, Ket-S-P-O, Ket-S-P-Pel , Ket-S-P-O-Pel, Ket-S-P-O-Ket, S-Ket-P-Pel, S-Ket-P-Ket, Ket-S-Ket-P-Pel, S-P-Pel-Ket, S-Ket-P , S-Ket-Ket, Ket-P-O-Pel, Ket-P-Pel-Ket, Ket-S. Sentence analysis based on function found sentence functions as follows: S, P, O, Ket, Pel. Sentence analysis based on category is found: The function of S are categorized as noun, and noun phrase. The P functions are categorized nouns, noun phrases, verbs, verb phrases, adjective phrases, and numeralia phrases. The O function are categorized as noun, noun phrase and numeralia phrase. Pel functions are categorized nouns, and noun phrases. The function of Ket is categorized as prepositional phrase. The role-based sentence analysis are found as follows: The function S acts as a known, experienced, numbered, actor, gained, and place. Function P acts as an identifier, state, amount, deed, possession, existence, and acquisition. Function O acts as a sufferer, owner, sum, result, and sum. The Pel function acts as the sufferer, owner, number, result, state, and tool. The function of Ket serves as a way, place, time, participant, result, tool, cause, and frequency.

Abstract

This research entitled "Tradition of poem Reciprocated by Wedding ritual of Bengkulu Community". The poem reciprocated tradition is an ancient tradition which realized in communication, performances, containing cultural values, religion, ethics, and aesthetics and contains of text elements of text elements, place, instrument, audience and show context. To guide and direct this research writer used  folklore theory, oral tradition, and performaing arts. The data were collected by observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The discussion result shows that the oral tradition of poem reciprocated has a noble value, namely socialization, aesthetics, religion, culture and history, on hereditary in Bengkulu society, especially in Penurunan and Sawah Lebar district. The traditions of poem reciprocated has been alive and developing in this region. the five stages of Poem reciprocated in the process of marriage ritual in Bengkulu community as follow are : 1) Telling/ delivering the intentions,  the intentions is delivered by elderly family from the groom. 2) Propose, the traditional head of the groom delivers the groom from man’s family. 3) handover the gifts, the delivery of dowries delivers from man’s family to the woman’s family to the woman’s family. 4) the marriage agreement. 5) The bride and groom is coming up, bring the groom to the groom to the bride’s house side by side on the aisle. The conten of the five stages of poem reciprocated traditions in the marriage ritual of Bengkulu people is guided by the community of supporters in their daily life, they belive that the social value in poem reciprocated, as a norm in the life demands and must be upheldKeywords: tradition, poem reciprocated

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of Indonesian teachers on Indonesian textbooks of the curriculum of 2013 class VII in terms of material or content and presentation aspect. This study uses purposive samples, the sample of this study are 9 Indonesian VII class teachers who already have certification or professional teachers in SMPN 1, 3, 4, 11. and 18 Kota Bengkulu. Data collection techniques used in this research is a questionnaire. Data analysis technique used this research is descriptive technique and simple count presented in tabular form. The result of the research shows that (1) teacher's perception on Indonesian textbooks of grade VII curriculum in material or content aspect get average grade 4,14 with appropriate criteria, (2) teacher perception on Indonesian text book of 2013 curriculum of class VII in The presentation aspect earned an average rating of 4.02 with the corresponding criteria. Keywords: perception, teachers, textbooks

Abstract

This research has objective to know deviation and compliance of language politeness principle in class discussion activity, Indonesian language subjects, in terms of word selection, and polite way of discussion to students of class VIII E SMPN 2 Kota Bengkulu and the implication in learning Indonesian language. Type of research used by the researcher is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The subjects of this study are students of class VIII SMPN 2 Kota Bengkulu, on the subjects of Indonesian language. The results of this study indicate that the data of deviation of language politeness principle consists of four maxims, including maxim of wisdom, appreciation, generosity, and simplicity. The deviation of the principle of politeness consists of the deviation of one maxim and two different maxims at once in one speech. The deviation of the principle of modality of two maxims consists of deviations of the principle of generosity of maxim of generosity and of appreciation, wisdom and generosity, and wisdom and reward. Furthermore, the data on the compliance of the principle of linguistic politeness consists of six maxims, including maxim of wisdom, reward, generosity, simplicity, consensus, and conclusions. Adherence to the principle of politeness in the form of one maxim, two maxims, and three different maxims at once in one speech. The adherence to the principle of modality of two maxims consists of adhering to the principle of maximized politeness of wisdom and generosity, wisdom and simplicity, respect and wisdom, respect and consent, and appreciation and simplicity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerpan model pemrosesan informasi pada pembelajaran membaca siswa di SMP Negeri 02 Bengkulu Utara. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VII A yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran dengan penerapan model pemrosesan informasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model pemrosesan informasi dalam pembelajaran siswa sudah dapat dilihat melalui delapan fase model pemrosesan informasi yang terdiri dari fase motivasi, fase pemahaman, fase pemerolehan, fase penahanan, fase ingatan kembali, fase generalisasi, fase perlakuan dan fase umpan balik. Dalam penerapan model ini fase yang lebih sering dilakukan pada fase pemerolehan, fase penahanan, dan fase ingatan kembali, Namun penerapan model ini juga tidak terlepas dari fase motivasi, fase pemahaman, fase generalisasi, fase perlakuan, dan fase umpan balik. Penerapan model pemrosesan informasi dilakukan  dengan 26 langkah pembelajaran pada pertemuan pertama  dan 19 langkah pembelajaran pada pertemuan kedua. Hasil kemampuan membaca yang diperoleh siswa  dengan tugas yang berbeda-beda pada tiap pertemuan pembelajaran, memperoleh hasil yang termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. Dapat diketahui pada pertemuan pertama rata-rata kelas memperoleh skor 79,4 dengan ketuntasan klasikal siswa 81%. Pertemuan kedua rata-rata kelas memperoleh skor 79,5 dengan ketuntasan klasikal siswa 85% dan tugas diluar Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), rata-rata kelas memperoleh skor 81 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 100%. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, model pemrosesan informasi efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran membaca. Kata Kunci: model pemrosesan informasi, pembelajaran membaca.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpidato secara ekstemporan  siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 22 SMPN Bengkulu Utara semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Kemampuan berpidato  secara ekstemporan siswa kelas IX ini akan dinilai dari lima aspek, yaitu: ketepatan ucapan dan pelafalan, kelancaran dan intonasi, diksi, sikap dan mimik/pandang muka, dan penguasaan bahasa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dalam mencari sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling(sampel acak) yang diambil sebanyak 20% atau 20 orang siswa dari jumlah seluruh  siswa 112 orang siswa, yang dipilih dari setiap kelasnya, yaitu 5 kelas. Sehingga sampel ada 5 kelas, teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian  yaitu statistik sederhana menghitung nilai rata-rata dari setiap aspek kebahasaan dan non kebahasaan serta mencari skor akhir.Hasil penelitian ini dapat dikemukakan bahwa: 1). Rata-rata kemampuan berpidato siswa yang dilihat dari aspek ketepatan ucapan dan pelafalanadalah  16,5  berkategori (baik). 2). Rata-rata Kemampuan Berpidato siswa dari aspek kelancaran dan intonasi adalah 16 berkategori (baik). 3). Rata-rata kemampuan berpidato siswa dari aspek diksi adalah 15,82 berkategori (baik). 4). Rata-ratakemampuan berpidato siswa dari aspek sikap dan mimik/pandang muka adalah 15,47 berkategori (baik). 5). Rata-rata kemampuan berpidato siswa dari aspek penguasaan bahasa adalah 15,55 berkategori (baik). 6). Rata – rata nilai akhir kemampuan berpidato secara ekstemporan siswa kelas IX Smp Negeri 22 Bengkulu Utara Tahun Semester Genap Ajaran 2016/2017 adalah 79,37 tergolong berkategori(baik).Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa siswakelas IX di SMP Negeri 22 Bengkulu Utara Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 telah dapat berpidato secara ekstemporan dengan baik. Meskipun masih ada beberapa siswa dalam berpidato secara ekstemporan dinyatakan cukup, namun secara keseluruhan para siswa sudah dapat berpidato secara ekstemporan dengan baik.Kata kunci: kemampuan, berpidato, metode ekstemporan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mastery of Indonesian language skills learning material of Indonesian Language Education Study Program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Bengkulu University in 2016. The specific purpose of this research is to describe the mastery of learning material of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills student of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP UNIB. The method used in this research is quantitative research method. Based on the results of the study, its noted that the mastery of learning materials of Indonesian Language Skills on Undergraduate Studies Program Language and Literature Indonesia FKIP UNIB is still relatively low. The results showed that students who have a very good understanding of the category of learning skills of Indonesian language is only 10% of the overall research object. Students who have a good understanding of the category of learning skills of Indonesian language skills as much as 24%. The number of students who have sufficient mastery of the subject matter of Indonesian language skills occupies the dominant percentage with 45%. Students in the category have less mastery of Indonesian language skills learning materials as much as 16%. While 5% of students fall into the category of having knowledge that is still less once for learning materials Indonesian skills. Students should have a better mastery of learning materials in Indonesian language skills as a basic capital to teach Indonesian subjects, especially at junior and senior high schools. Therefore in the future it is expected to do more effective learning process improvement related to Indonesian language skills learning materials, so that students' mastery of learning materials of Indonesian language skills will be better. Keywords: mastery, learning materials, speech skills

Abstract

Classroom management is a real effort to realize an effective teaching or learning process. With good class management is expected to support the achievement of learning objectives and provide a positive influence that directly support the implementation of teaching and learning in the classroom. In order to provide encouragement and stimulus to students in learning, the class needs to be managed as well as possible. Activities that need to be implemented in managing the class, namely the arrangement of students in the classroom, spatial arrangement, creating classroom discipline, showing attitude responsiveness.This study aims to determine the management of classes in Indonesian subjects related to the maintenance of optimal learning conditions (preventive) Learning conditions (repressive). Data collection with observation of learning process observation. Interviews with relevant subject teachers, and with a study of the form of a learning program plan (RPP). The results obtained, then analyzed based on the method of observation and documentation studies and. The results showed that classroom management in Indonesian language subjects in SMP Negeri 10 Bengkulu city related to the maintenance of optimal learning (preventive) which consists of 6 aspects and return of learning condition (repressive) consisting of 3 aspects already implemented by the teacher.

Abstract

Penggunaan peranti kohesi dan koherensi dalam wacana berita rubrik politik dan hukum sangat diperlukan untuk membentuk keterkaitan hubungan antarkalimat maupun paragraf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan peranti kohesi dan kekoherensian wacana pada rubrik politik dan hukum dalam surat kabar Kompas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah wacana berita pada rubrik politik dan hukum dalam surat kabar Kompas edisi Februari 2017 yaitu sebanyak 28 artikel. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel bertujuan. Pengumpulan data dalan penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui langkah-langkah.Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan penggunaan peranti kohesi dalam wacana rubrik politik dan hukum yaitu pronomina penunjuk, empunya, penanya, tak tentu; substitusi; elipsis atau pelesapan nomina; konjungsi adversatif, kausal, koordinatif, korelatif, subordinatif, temporal; kohesi leksikal terdiri dari pengulangan. Serta ditemukan penggunaan sarana koherensi yaitu sarana koherensi penambahan; sarana koherensi penekanan; sarana koherensi rentetan; sarana koherensi perbandingan; sarana koherensi pertentangan; sarana koherensi simpulan; sarana koherensi pengulangan. Kata kunci: Kohesi, koherensi, wacana rubrik politik dan hukum.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks karangan narasi siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 03 Model Invest Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 03 Model Invest Kota Bengkulu. Teknik yang digunakan pengumpulan data dalam adalah teknik tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif sederhana, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 03 Model Invest Kota Bengkulu adalah kurang dengan memperoleh persentase 55,80. kemampuan menulis siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 03 Model Invest Kota Bengkulu secara khusus dari aspek isi memperoleh persentase 17.82 dengan kriteria buruk, aspek struktur teks memperoleh persentase 12,24  dengan kriteria buruk, aspek kosakata memperoleh persentase 10,39 dengan kriteria buruk sekali, aspek kalimat memperoleh persentase 9,15 dengan kriteria buruk sekali, aspek mekanik memperoleh persentase 5,17 dengan kriteria buruk sekali.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan menulis, teks karangan narasi.
