Abstract

All universities in Indonesia are given the option to study at home with an online learning system, including UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Students' voices is a perspective from student towards something to know the success of it. This study aims to know students' voices on Online Learning during COVID-19 in some positive or negative ways. The research method used in this research is quantitative, with an online survey and purposive sampling. According to the results, 66 per cent of the total statements show that students positively perceive online learning acceptance. Students feel safer and more at ease, and they spend less money. However, some study aspects are lacking, such as unease in following the study, being active in class, and being enthusiastic about the study. Despite this, most students maintained positive relationships with other students, ate and slept well, and remained healthy throughout the pandemic. This recent study recommended that future research data sources be expanded to ensure more reliable research results.

Abstract

Writing as a productive skill in an EFL classroom is very important. In the writing class there needs to be an efficient relationship between teachers and students. In the early part of the 21st Century the various technologies available for use in the classroom have become extremely diverse and the way they are used in classrooms around the world may affect the outcomes we expect from our classrooms. This paper aims to examine the effectiveness of Edmodo in teaching writing to EFL students. Thus this review reports five relevant studies which] clearly indicated that Edmodo is an effective medium for teaching writing to EFL learners. The purpose of this review is to report: 1). Students' perceptions about the use of Edmodo in teaching writing for EFL students. 2). Edmodo benefits in teaching writing for EFL students. 3). Edmodo's shortcomings in teaching writing for EFL students. According to the findings, learning to use Edmodo on EFL students is very effective for improving writing skills in EFL students.

Abstract

Self-study awareness is an aspect that students must have in blended learning. This study discusses the effectiveness of the construction of metacognitive skills in e-modules on student achievement independently where the learning method used is blended learning. The researcher used pre-test and post-test with a control group as the quasi-experimental design used in this study. There are two classes of Indonesian language courses as the research population, and both classes are from the Sharia Faculty, UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Before collecting research data, the researcher tested the research instrument with reliability and validity tests. Meanwhile, the treatment effectiveness test can be carried out if the research data obtained has met the criteria for normality and homogeneity. However, the researcher decided to carry out the Mann-Whitney Test because the data obtained did not have a normal distribution as a prerequisite for research analysis. The findings show that there is a difference in the mean of student learning outcomes from the experimental class and the control class. This study states that there is an increase in the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class which is greater than the control class based on the improvement in the index on the average criterion. On the other hand, the use of metacognitive construction gave a positive response to some students so that it affected the awareness of students to learn independently, and creatively, think critically, and have self-efficacy.

Abstract

The importance of optimizing leadership in educational institutions has now become an absolute necessity to achieve maximum results. This study highlights the implementation of leadership as a means to leverage various resources, explore opportunities, solve challenges and lead organizations to successfully achieve goals. In particular, this case study research has the aim of reviewing and implementing the implementation of innovation and entrepreneurial leadership of school principals in creating a learning environment. Thirty vocational high school teachers and two vocational high school principals acted as informants in this study. Through the use of Miles and Huberman's interactive qualitative analysis model, the results of his research indicate that the principal in implementing entrepreneurial leadership uses two ways. First, the principal manages organizational growth by optimizing, communicating, motivating, monitoring, controlling, exemplary and empowering. Second, the principal creates innovation through several improvements: vision building, staff development and restructuring. The implication is that it can create a positive learning environment for school members, encouraging them to innovate in academic and non-academic fields. It is necessary to help principals create a positive learning environment. In addition, the findings of this study can be a reference for applying entrepreneurial leadership to support teachers and students in making some innovations.

Abstract

The problem that raised in this research is the relationship writer of vocabulary and effective sentence mastery with formal letter writing ability. This research was motivated by the fact in field that the ability of letter writing and effective and the relationship between mastery of vocabulary need to describe the relationship between mastery of vocabulary and effective sentence mastery with formal letter writing ability at seven SMPN 3 Jati Agung.To reach the purpose of the research above, the researcher use correlational methos, it means that the data collected after all the even happen. The techniques to collect the data are analytical conditional test, statistical analyze, and research hypothesis test. The research indicates findings, those: (1) There are positive and significant relationship between mastery of vocabulary and the ability to write a formal letter, whith a correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.782 and regression equation Ỹ = 45,097 + 0.389X1; (2) There is positive and significant relationship between mastery of effective sentence with the ability to write formal letter, with coefficient ry2 = 0.775 and regression equation Ỹ = 49,583 + 0.347X2; and (3) There is relationship between both mastery of vocabulary and mastery of effective sentence with a correlation coefficient ry1,2 = 0.786 and regression equation Ỹ = 18,831 + 0.391 X1 + 0.349 X2. Based on these research data, it can be conclude that mastery of vocabulary and mastery of effective sentence are two main factors affecting the ability to write a formal letter.

Abstract

Society 5.0 requires the ability to think critically to deal with various changes. The ability to think critically in an era that emphasizes the role of humans as the center of civilization through the use of digital technology is not in line with the fact that the ability to think critically in class VIII odd semester students at SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. The ability to think critically mathematically in class VIII students is still a problem, for this reason this study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Open Ended approach on students' critical thinking ability in mathematics. This quasi-experimental study, with a population of all VIII grade students, totaling 227 students, while the samples were VIII E class as the experimental class and VIII G class as the control class. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique and to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills were given a test in the form of a description of 5 questions which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. From the results of testing the hypothesis using the t test, the value of thitung = 3.35 is obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5% it is known that tdaftar = t(1-α) = 1.67. Thus thitung > tdaftar, so it can be concluded that the implementation of the Open Ended approach can affect the mathematical critical thinking skills of Grade VIII students in odd semesters at SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the problem-solving abilities of junior high school students on similarity material with the Problem Solving learning model. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 27 children. Samples of class students at SMP Negeri 45 Bandar Lampung. The method used to collect data is to use written worksheets with mathematical problem solving skills on congruence material. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving abilities of class IX students of SMP Negeri 45 Bandar Lampung were already high. Judging from the presentation, it was stated that students were able to identify known elements, apply strategies and develop mathematical models. Overall, students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, especially in congruence material, are in high qualification, although there are some students who are still in low qualification.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effectiveness of the TTW (Think Talk Write) learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of SD Negeri 2 Penengahan Bandar Lampung students. This research is an experimental research. The study population consisted of all students of class SD Negeri 2 Penengahan Bandar Lampung consisting of 5 classes with a total of 120 students, while 2 classes were taken as samples, namely class V A as the experimental class which consisted of 32 students, and class V C as the control class which consisted of 30 students. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Students' mathematical problem solving abilities were measured by a test in the form of an essay of 5 questions which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. From the results of testing the hypothesis using the statistical formula t-test, the value of thit = 2.15 was obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that tdaf=1.67 means thit>tdaf, namely 2.15>1.68, so it can be concluded that "TTW (Think Talk Write) Learning Model is Effective for the mathematical problem solving abilities of SD Negeri 2 Penengahan students Bandar Lampung. This situation can also be seen from the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities where the experimental class has an average value of 78.94 higher than the control class has an average value of 60.69

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) improve the initial reading skills of second grade students of SD Negeri 1 Teluk Betung (2) to observe the activities of students in early reading skills using the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method. This type of research is classroom action research with the design used is the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. This classroom action research uses 2 cycles where each cycle is carried out according to the research model, namely planning, implementation or action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 26 students of which 15 were male students and 11 were female students. The method used is the Structural Analytical Synthetic (SAS) method with data collection using: observation sheets, reading ability tests, and documentation. The results of the research on early reading skills using the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method were able to improve early reading skills. It is proven by the existing data that at the initial condition, namely 46.15% of students who meet the criteria for completeness, then there is an increase when using word card media in the first cycle with an average of 72.84 or 57.69% of students who meet the criteria. the value of completeness criteria, and experienced a good increase when the second cycle was carried out using word card media with various colors with an average of 80.42 or 80.76% of students who met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM).

Abstract

on language development. Ability language is a skill by a child For disclose feeling through words And expression , so child can give information to others and can enrich treasury child . Ability language very important in stimulation since early, Because child age ready capable role active in communication. Strategy in developing capabilities speaking kindergarten students, one of only with use puppet play . The method used in this research descriptive with approach qualitative. This research that the use of the puppet show can develop speak ability on child Kindergarten age with puppet play media assistance. With this puppet media can stimulate motor skills, creativity, imagination, experimentation and exploration. By using this puppet play strategy it really attracts the attention of students, so that teachers and students are active and work together.
