Abstract

Islamic education is one field of Islamic studies who received a lot of attention from scientists. This is because in addition to a very strategic role in order to enhance human resources, as well as in Islamic education there are a variety of complex problems. Ibn Taymiyyah for example, he was known as a scholar, thinker and politician. The thinking in the field of education is a response to the various problems facing the Islamic society that demands split logically through education. Philosophy of education, he said, should be built on the foundation of monotheism, the belief in the oneness of God. Monotheism which is the basis of education include; rububiyah monotheism, monotheism asthma wa uluhiyah and nature. Based on the insights of faith is then Ibn Taymiyyah describes the purpose of education, students, teachers, curriculum and so on.Keyword: Educational Thought, Relevance, Contemporary

Abstract

The Subject of Islamic Education (PAI) is part of the national curriculum that is considerably very appropriate to internalize the values of multiculturalism. But in the last few years PAI has not maximally implemented multiculturalism-oriented learning. This research was conducted at Taman Harapan Elementary School (SD), Malang City, that is also a private school with multi ethnic and multi religious students. The problems raised in this research are how should the values of multiculturalism be internalized in the PAI learning in Elementary School? The researcher conducted data collection through observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that Taman Harapan elementary school strongly supports in implementing the values of multiculturalism in the school. The PAI learning in Taman Harapan elementary school has implemented the internalization of multicultural values to its students by incorporating it in the learning curriculum (RPP), namely the Competence Standards, Basic Competencies, and Indicators of Learning Achievement. The values of multiculturalism are integrated in the PAI learning such as tolerance, equality, and cooperation.Keywords: Internalization, multiculturalism, PAI, Taman Harapan Elementary School

Abstract

The process of Islamic religious education in schools has so far been centered on teaching materials. The materials have a varied segmentation of discussion, especially in the aspects of aqidah, ritual, akhlaq, history and so on. The values of Islamic teachings contained in teaching materials are not only related to both empirical and concrete aspects of knowledge. There are also the ones dealing with the abstract and unreasonable aspects. For example in the aqidah subject matter, there are discussions about belief in God, angels, the hereafter and so on. In this paper, the writer experimented with a learning method that integrates the cooperative learning approach with the Abid al-Jabiri's epistimological foundations. On this stand, the aqidah material in educational institutions is expected to run effectively on the one hand, and not to reduce the fundamental values of Islamic teachings on the other hand.Keywords: Aqidah learning, Coperative learning, Abid al-Jabiri

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) is an educational institution long standing in Nusantara (Java), besides what the so-called surau in Sumatra. In the course of its development, its traces and existence are still present and could be seen today. In the transition between Hinduism-Buddhism to Islam, the role of pesantren was very important in guarding the emerging shift. Similarly, during the era of colonization by the Europeans, Pesantren could still find its footing as a religious and cultural based institution. Although the Dutch eventually made counter-educational institutions with their existing curriculum, in fact the existence of pesantren remained strong. Based on the dialectic, the combination of pesantren system and curriculum emerged. Pesantren also fought the spirit of struggle to its santri to see that the struggle is not solely determined by forces alone. And the most secure and strategic path is through education.Keywords: Pesantren, Resistance, Colonization.

Abstract

Islamic Education Curriculum is designed to increase the students' faith and devotion to Allah SWT and the formation of noble morality. Faith, devotion and morality could expectedly be achieved through Islamic Religious Education by firstly encouraging the students to have the knowledge and understanding comprehensively related to the teachings of Islam and be capable of carrying it out properly. Thus the Islamic Education curriculum should be able to deliver students to the knowledge and understanding that are balanced between the acquisition of knowledge about Islam and the ability of implementing the teachings and developing the values of noble morality. To explore the substance of this curriculum, the writer will do more in-depth explanation of the curriculum as subject centered design, learner centered design, and problem centered design.Keywords: Design development, curriculum, Islamic religious education

Abstract

Learning and teaching process could be achieved through easy-to-do practical exercises and regular coaching to students. This is one of the efforts in improving the students' skills. Literacy programs are very important for students for being able to affect their learning success and life. Good literacy skills will help students in understanding oral, written, or visual texts. Therefore the development of students' literacy in learning is always conducted through such integrated activities as listening, speaking, reading and writing. On this stand, these four skills have a very close relationship, although each has its own certain characteristics. That is why, learning in a certain skill could improve the other skills. For example reading learning could also improve such skills as speaking, listening and writing. After the students read, of course the teacher will raise questions about the content of the reading and the students are asked to retell what is read with their own words. Abstract

one of the serious problems facing the adolescents is the rise of promiscuity potentially leading to free sex. This problem becomes more severe when the existence of schools could no longer contribute more. Thus, one of the efforts to minimize the promiscuity is by optimizing counseling programs that specifically deal with adolescent reproductive health. In this paper, the writer will describe the relevance as well as the urgency of adolescent reproductive education taking counseling media to reduce the problem of adolescent sexuality. On this stand, educational practitioners are expectedly able to define the educational gap that is now more focused on the development of science by overriding the problems experienced by students who are also teenagers.Keywords: Reproductive Education, Sexual Problems

Abstract

Basically education is an instrument for humans use to advance their civilization and culture. education is always running and developing in line with human life. Islamic education as an education actvity which is colored by the spirit and values of Islam will also develop during the life of members of islam comunity. Changes and developments in Islamic education seem so fast, whereas the life of today's society as if we live without division and distance as the impact of globalization. it gives the impression that the cultural differences of one society with others will be apparent. The apparent differences will be a time bomb that will explode in time, further leads to disharmony in society or cultural clashes. In the meantime Islamic education must be able to enter space building an educational model that develops multicultural values such as tolerance, fair education and education that uphold the value of equality. Abstract

The Qur'an is very important to the life of all mankind and we must take into account it. On this stand, we could take into account the Qur'an by reading, understanding, and memorizing it. To be able to understand the content of the Qur'an,  we must firstly be able to read it. That's why the Tsamrotul Huda Islamic Junior High School (SMP) includes the TPQ program and so-called Tahfidz Qur’an program into its education curriculum. This study is aimed at determining the influence of TPQ on the increase of Tahfidz Qur’an program in Tsamrotul Huda Islamic Junior High School Sidoharjo Gedeg Mojokerto especially the program in 2016/2017. This study used quantitative method. The researcher used interview, tests, documentation and observation to collect data. The result of this research is knowing a significant correlation between TPQ program and the increase of Tahfidz Qur’an program in Tsamrotul Huda Islamic Junior High School. This is proved through the value of ro (count) that is greater than the value of rt (table).Keywords: TPQ, Tahfidz Qur'an Program

Abstract

Educational activities require good steps in producing qualified students. Recognizing the importance of the teacher's role in education, in the modern era, teachers are not only teaching individuals but are also directors of learning. That means every teacher is expected to be brilliant to direct the learning activities of students to achieve a learning success. As a consequence, the teacher's tasks and responsibilities become more complex. The expansion of these tasks and responsibilities brings the consequences of the emergence of special functions that serve as an integral part of the teacher's professionalism competence in dealing with the classroom conditions. Therefore, a teacher is required to be really extra in preparing lessons and strategies. The effort is done because it is realized that education is an effort to develop all potentials of students to be able to keep up with the rapid development of science through the selection of materials, methods and instructional media, as well as appropriate teaching system.Keywords: Learning strategy, Teacher, Learning achievement
