Abstract

The development planning of maritime industry at the national level, the objectives, the vision, the mission,the strategy and the government policy that empower maritime industry potential is very important beimplemented effectively by all component of maritime industry, especially shipyard community inIndonesia. The main and strategic problems have to be solved immediately with the systematic plan. Abstract

Paduan Mg-Zn-Ca dengan struktur berpori memiliki potensi sebagai implan mampu luruh yang dapat mengatasi persoalan dalam dunia medis. Tujuan studi ini adalah membuat paduan implan berpori Mg-0,5Ca-4Zn hasil proses metalurgi serbuk dengan variasi foaming agent CaCO3 dan temperature sintering. Struktur pori yang dihasilkan dalam paduan dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan x-ray diffraction (XRD) dan scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Persentasi porositas dalam paduan dilakukan dengan uji archimedes sesuai ASTM B311-93. Hasil identifikasi senyawa dalam paduan dengan XRD menunjukkan adanya fasa Mg, MgO, MgZn, Mg2Ca dan fasa intermetalik Ca2Mg6Zn3. Semakin meningkatnya temperatur sintering dan penambahan CaCO3 dalam paduan meningkatkan pori yang terbentuk sehingga menurunkan densitas dan kekuatan tekan dari paduan Mg-0,5Ca-4Zn. Pengamatan dengan SEM menunjukkan ukuran pori terbesar yang terbentuk adalah sebesar 106,62 – 435,22 µm yang dihasilkan dalam paduan 85,5Mg-0,5Ca-4Zn-10CaCO3 pada temperatur sintering 650 °C.

Abstract

Geological conditions at Tembalang areas and surround, Semarang, as a Undulating – Hillockymorphological. That’s can be representation lithological and structural conditions. This surveysused the Geoelectrical sounding and combined with geological surface mapping. There are 15points sounding of Geoelectrical, after interpreted with geological surface mapping, can beconclusion the Breccias lithologic overlay on the upper of Limestones lithologic and finding thereverse fault in the part north of areas survey.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat biobriket dari bahan bottom ash limbah Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) dengan biomassa cangkang kopi dengan zat pengikat tetes tebu serta menguji nilai kalor yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah; pembuatan biobriket dengan memvariasi komposisi antara bottom ash dengan biomassanya serta zat pengikat yang berbeda. Variasi komposisi antara biomassa cangkang kopi dengan bootom ash yang digunakan adalah 60% : 40% dan 70% : 30%, sedangkan bahan perekatnya menggunakan tetes tebu dan tepung kanji. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah menguji nilai kalor dari biobriket yang dihasilkan menggunakan alat uji calloriboom. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan biobriket dengan komposisi 70% biomassa cangkang kopi dan 30% bottom ash dengan pengikat tetes tebu mempunyai nilai kalor yang paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan komposisi dan pengikat yang lain dengan nilai kalor yang dihasilkan yaitu 2496,18 kal/gr. Nilai kalor ini dipengaruhi oleh kandungan karbon aktif yang terdapat pada arang cangkang kopi dan besar kecilnya kandungan carbon, oxygen dan ash yang dimiliki, semakin tinggi kandungan carbon dan oxygen maka makin tinggi pula nilai kalor yang kandungan kalor yang terdapat pada jenis perekat tetes tebu lebih tinggi dari pada tepung kanji. [Title: Comparison of Calorific Value of Biobriket Made of Bottom Ash Waste and Biomass Plant Shell Coffee by Varying Composition and Types of Binder] This study is aimed to make biobriket of bottom ash material waste biomass power plant and different binder of coffee shell (molasses) as well as measuring the calorific value. The method in this study are by manufacturing biobricket by varying the composition of bottom ash with biomass and different binder. Biomass composition variation of the shell coffee and bottom ash are 60%:40% and 70%:30%. The binder used are molasses and starch. This experiment was carry out by measuring the calorific value of produced biobricket. From results, the biobricket with a composition of 70% biomass and 30% coffee shell bottom ash and molasses binder has the highest calorific value in comparison to other binder composition. The calorific value is 2496.18 cal/g. This calorific value is influenced by the content of activated carbon contained in charcoal shell of coffee and size of the content of carbon, oxygen and ash. Increased calorific values between the molasses and starch binders suggested that the calorific value of product when using molasses binder is higher than that of starch.

Abstract

Connections between building damage and vibration intensity has been examined by few researcher. Indeedtackling of effort about bigger damage has been examined too. But connections between traffic character andbig vibration in the street edge isn’t much inspect. Some of literature almost study about connections betweenvibration and traffic micro and too specify, such as to look vibration character and it’s relation with vehiclecharacteristic. Generally details like it is less applicative, Theoretically it’s better do by perform a formula.To aim this study is to examine of connections between vibration in the street edge and traffic characteristic athighway. Traffic characteristic which examined covering are traffic volume and average of traffic speed.To support the aim, survey and analysis is needed. Survey material needs are vibration survey, traffic speed,traffic volume and few road characteristic. Survey did at the street edge with three location where everylocation have few different road characteristic, in this case wide of drainage as of attentuation wide. Everylocations inspected by variable inspection distance are 5 m. 15m and 25 m. Speed and traffic volume datarecorded in every location by using manual record, While vibration data recorded at every point of everylocation by using vibration record Vibecheck meter.Result of recording processed and analyzed to obtain average value and it data distribution. To viewconnections between vibration and traffic characteristic, distance and attentuation, to perform correlation andregretion examine. Regretion examine used for mode calibration connections between vibration and trafficcharacteristic, distance and attentuation based on Watt style.Exams result show that 1) There is strong relation between vibration with distance of examine and attentuationwide, where that connections is negative identifying, 2) There is strong relation between vibration and trafficspeed but not with traffic volume and heave vehicle on the traffic, where that connections is positive identifying,3) Watt style calibration examine result gave good enough result if we look R² value of correlation examineresult which reach 0,96.From analysis result we can concluded some cases, 1) cause vibration is effected by traffic speed then decreaseof vibration effect can performed by limitation speed especially at residence area and 2) cause vibration iseffected by distance and attentuation , then decrease of vibration effect can performed by widest distancebetween building and street edge and widest attentuation in this case is drainage

Abstract

Gathering and transportation of garbage represent problems in Town Semarang with 1.431.105 population. Neededan effort of effective garbage management breakthrough in order to improving efficiency and optimalisationgathering and transportation of garbage by using Powersim dynamic model. Powersim is windows base software tocreate the model of dynamic system with a simulator desain. Simulation of gathering and transportation garbagemodel in Town Semarang of early compilation concept. Compilation concept conducted by determining elementwhich playing a part in gathering and transportation process of garbage which interact and have depending.Concept formed to be formulated by as model which is the in form of the breakdown of, picture or formula. Here inafter simulation conducted with the model which have been made by including data to know behavior process of thegarbage gathering and transportation. Data input for the gathering to cover the garbage volume, appliancetransport the garbage and to the transportation of its data input cover the garbage volume in place Dismissal ofWhereas and appliance garbage transport. Result of research shown existing condition of garbage gathering andtransportation in Town Semarang not yet optimal, seen by garbage amount which not yet been transported byduring gathering process. After optimation proven by that any garbage transported at process of gathering andtransportation and also do not rest of garbage which piled up. For repair of gathering and transportationrecommended by gathering process (1) used a garbage pedicab amount to 1300 with 0,82 m2 capacity, 2 timesritation and operate everyday and ( 2) 15 dump truck, with 6 m3 capacity, 1 times rotation and operate everyday. Itstransportation repair used by arm roll truck as much 60 by 6 times ritation and have 6 m 3 capacities operatingeveryday

Abstract

Indonesia regional feeder ports’ main function is to serve marine transport activities between regency/city in a province in limited quantities. The intention of the government to make marine transportation as the backbone of national logistic transportation system puts these ports to an important position, as suppliers for the main and/or collector ports and as goods distribution centers for the region from the bigger ports. Not only as a provider of accessibility between regions, regional feeder ports should be seen as an investation to boost regional economy. This study aims to explain the influences of regional feeder ports on regency/city economy, based on the port types: (1) cargo ports, and (2) cargo & passengers ports. Results showed that both types of ports have positive influences on the regency/city economy, although it is not related to region’s economic base sector. Cargo ports which are mainly located on west area of Indonesia, supports the region’s economy more than cargo & passenger ports which are mainly located on the east.

Abstract

The driven ductile iron pile is a simple and economical driven foundation system made from ductile iron pipes.The pipe material is centrifugally-cast ductile iron, which has excellent ductility, strength, and corrosionresistance properties. The material behavior and the manufacturing of the pipes in the plant are described.Questions concerning corrosion are treated. The internal and external bearing capacity is discussed as well asthe production of the piles on construction sites. Finally the range of application in practice is presented.

Abstract

Limbah cair elektroplating yang mengandung kromium (Cr) merupakan limbah yang berbahaya terhadap lingkungan. Limbah tersebut harus diolah terlebih dahulu sebelum dibuang ke lingkungan.  Salah satu jenis pengolahan limbah cair yang mengandung Cr adalah proses adsorpsi.  Batang dan daun Artocarpus altilis (daun sukun) mempunyai potensi untuk digunakan sebagai adsorben untuk mengolah limbah cair yang mengandung Cr.  Proses aktivasi pada pembuatan adsorben dapat dilakukan secara asam ataupun non asam.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi daun sukun untuk mengadsopsi total Cr yang terkandung dalam limbah cair electroplating.  Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan reactor dari pipa berukuran panjang 12 cm dan diameter 1,3 cm dengan aliran keatas secara kontinyu.  Debit aliran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebesar 0,255 cm3/det.  Total Cr diukur menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adsorpsi menggunakan  yang dihasilkan dengan proses  asam dapat mereduksi  total-Cr dari 77,45 mg/l menjadi  0,474 mg/l (99,34) %, sedang adsorpsi menggunakan adsorben yang dihasilkan dengan proses non asam hanya menurunkan total-Cr dari 77,45 mg/l  hingga mencapai 4,753 mg/l (93,86 %).  Adsorpsi menggunakan adsorben daun Sukun yang diproduksi melalui proses asam dapat digunakan untuk mengolah limbah cair electroplating yang mengandung Cr sebab konsentrasi limbah terolah lebih rendah 0,5 mg/l ( sesuai Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No.5, 2014)
