Abstract

The content of organic matter in barren land and padas has been determined spectrophotometrically and titrimetrically. Soil samples were taken from four locations, each of the two locations of barren land (I and II) and two locations (I 'and II'). The content of soil organic matter at depths of 15, 50 and 90 cm determined spectrophotometrically, is 24.48; 17.29 and 9.07% (Location I), 19.64; 15.92 and 6.24% (Location II). With the titrimetry method on solid soil, the yield obtained is 1.30; 0.94 and 0.76% (Location I '), 0.64; 0.46 and 0.31% (Location II'). It appears, that the deeper the content of organic matter the lower the soil. When compared with barren land, the content in padas is lower. Key Words :  Organic matter, Spectrophotometrically, Titrimetrically

Abstract

Laboratorium merupakan salah satu sarana yang penting dalam proses belajar mengajar, sebagai tempat belajar atau sebagai sumber pembelajaran, laboratorium harus mempunyai sifat yang nyaman dan aman. Laboratorium yang bersifat nyaman artinya kebutuhan atau keperluan untuk melakukan kegiatan telah tersedia di tempat yang semestinya atau mudah di akses bila dipakai dan digunakan. Sedangkan laboratorium yang bersifat aman artinya segala penyimpanan material berbahaya dan kegiatan berbahaya telah dipersiapkan dan diantisipasi. Pengelolaan laboratorium akan berjalan dengan lebih efektif bilamana dalam struktur organisasi laboratorium didukung oleh  elemen yang meliputi ketua/kepala laboratorium, koordinator praktikum, Pranata Laboratorium Pendidikan/Teknisi/Laboran/Analis dan pembatu/juru laboratoriumTujuan dari pengelolaan laboratorium adalah agar tercipta suasana laboratorium mikrobiologi khususnya yang nyaman dan aman bagi pengguna yang meliputi mahasiswa, peneliti dan pengunjung laboratorium serta staff yang mengelola laboratorium tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif berdasarkan studi literatur (metaanalisis). Kerangka konsep meta analisis berdasarkan penentuan tata letak dan ruang, managemen alat dan bahan, tata tertib dan safety laboratoriumDiharapkan dengan diterapkannya managemen yang baik dalam pengelolaan di laboratorium maka akan tercipta suasana laboratorium yang aman dan nyaman. Berdasarkan dari hasil diatas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara managemen dan tata kelola yang baik dengan suasana yang aman dan nyaman bagi pengguna, pemakai dan pengelola laboratorium  Kata Kunci :Laboratorium, Alat dan Bahan, Pengelolaan Laboratorium, elemen laboratorium

Abstract

Anthropometric measurement aims to determine the conditions of growth and nutritional status. Linear growth can be known through height measurement. Height measurement often used microtoise which has several requirements such as requires a wall, flat place, and when installing it requires precision in pulling the tool right up to 200 cm to ensure an accurate measurement. A more practical height measuring instrument called stadiometer was made in study as a measuring instrument for height and also can be used to measure knee height. Material used aluminum to make the tool lighter, practical, and easy to carry. Validity test of tool was conducted by using stadiometer Seca 217. Height measurement was performed on 75 subjects in 7th semester students (academic year of 2015/2016) at Faculty of Public Health, University of Diponegoro Semarang. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test at significance level of 0.05 and obtained p=0.173. It was concluded that there was no significant difference in measurement results between simple stadiometer tool (the design results) and stadiometer Seca 217, so simple stadiometer tool was valid to use as height measurement tool. Keywords: stadiometer, measuring instrument, height, knee height

Abstract

Ketersediaan bahan pakan yang umum digunakan saat ini mengalami penurunan produksi. Hal ini dikarenakan keterbatasan lahan yang mulai terdegradasi sehingga hasil pertanian juga menurun. Untuk itu perlu dicari alternatif lain dari sumber bahan baku untuk pakan selain bahan yang umum. Penggunaan bahan pakan alternatif ( inkonvensional ) terkendala dengan keterbatasan data hasil analisis komposisi kimianya. Dalam penelitian ini dihasilkan tabel komposisi bahan pakan yang belum tercantum di dalam tabel komposisi pakan yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai kandungan dari bahan inkonvensional yang belum ada pada tabel komposisi. Dengan demikian dapat menjadi acuan untuk dapat dipergunakan sebagai komponen penyusun ransum.  Metode pengujian yang digunakan adalah analisis proksimat cara Weendee. Adapun parameter uji yang dilakukan meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak kasar, kadar serat kasar dan kadar protein kasar. Dari hasil penelitian ini telah didapatkan beberapa bahan inkonvensional yang belum masuk kedalam tabel komposisi.   Kata kunci: bahan inkonvensional, kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak kasar, kadar serat kasar dan kadar protein kasar

Abstract

Improper maintenance and storage of laboratory equipment, will shorten the life span. Damage to the tool will have a direct impact on the costs that must be incurred to replace damaged equipment components or even procurement of new equipment. The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of how to maintain and store chemical laboratory equipment. And can identify damage to chemical laboratory equipment.Broadly speaking, the tool maintenance method is divided into two parts: planned maintenance and unplanned maintenance. For storage of tools using the classification method based on the tool group, frequency of use and the nature of the tool.Maintenance and storage of chemical laboratory equipment is an activity process in order to anticipate damage as early as possible so that it can increase the efficiency of the working life of the equipment used.So that the chemical laboratory equipment can function optimally and always in a state of ready use, it is necessary to have knowledge about how to maintain and store laboratory equipment and how to identify equipment damage as early as possible. Maintenance and storage of chemical laboratory equipment properly can prevent damage to chemical laboratory equipment that will extend the life of the equipment, and ensure the comfort and safety of the user. Keywords: chemistry, laboratory, maintenance, storage, equipment

Abstract

Work safety and safety in the laboratory environment is needed. Based on the method of classification of the number of appliances usage. In this case from the observation / survey that the number of users of Laminar air flow in biochemical laboratories for 1 year (2017) this shows a very significant number, especially in certain months such as October - November reached the number 27, 31 users, the overall number of users enough many. This means showing that the instrument is needed for its existence.Also from the type of activities undertaken by students of Final Project so far by using these instruments can be served well means the tool is able to help solve the problems of students who are completing the research. Keywords: Microorganism, Laminar Air Flow, Safety

Abstract

Work safety and security in the laboratory environment is very much needed, especially those related to microorganisms. In this case the purpose of the survey is to find out what percentage of the success rate of inoculation or the planting of microorganisms using the Laminar Air Flow instrument. As for the method used based on the classification survey of the number of tools used. And from the observation / survey that the number of users of laminar water flow in the Biochemistry laboratory for 1 year (2017) shows a very significant number especially in certain months such as October - November reached 27, 31 users, overall the number of users was quite large. This means that the instrument is needed for its existence. Also from the types of activities carried out by the Final Project students so far by using these instruments can be well served means that the tool is able to help solve problems of students who are completing their research.

Abstract

Linear growth is used to determining height with microtoise several requirements for its installment such as upright wall, flat floor and requires precision to ensure the starting point of measurement at 200 cm high, which making measurements with this method difficult to guarantee validity in field. This study aimed to make a height measuring instrument more practical, namely the modifiable stadiometer as a measuring instrument for height which can also be used to measure knee height. Material used aluminum to make the tool lighter, practical, and easy to carry. Validity test of tool was using stadiometer Seca 217. Height measurement was performed on 75 subjects in 7th semester students (academic year of 2015/2016) at Faculty of Public Health, University of Diponegoro Semarang. Data were analyzed by using paired t-test at significance level of 0.05 and obtained p=0.173. It was concluded that there was no significant difference in measurement results between modifiable stadiometer tool (the design results) and stadiometer Seca 217, so it can be used as alternative tool for height measurement.
