Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the more effective teaching style between the application of inclusions teaching styles and command teaching styles for skills of volleyball up service if each of them is associated with learning motivational factors in 277 Government Junior High School, Jakarta. The study was conducted from May to June 2016. This research used an experimental method and a treatment by level 2 x 2 design. The research conducted in 277 Government Junior High School, Jakarta including all students of grade VIII with total of 252 students spread in 7 classes. Employing cluster sampling technique, this research selected two classes to be given treatments or learning programs. One class consisted of 36 students making the total sample to be 72 people. The instrument used in this research was a volleyball up service test. The conclusions of this study are (1) overall, there are different volleyball up service skills among the students who are taught by inclusions teaching style and students who are taught by commands teaching style; (2) there are interactions between teaching style and motivation to learn with the skills of volleyball up service; (3) for the group of students who have high learning motivation level, the up service skills on a volleyball higher when taught by the inclusions teaching style; and (4) for the group of students who have low motivation learning levels, skills on the volleyball serve higher when taught by the commands teaching style.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Group Counseling to increase self esteem of vocational high school students. The research was conducted from November to January 2016. In this research, a researcher used exsperiment structure with design pretest and posttest control group. Grounded on result of measure inventory self esteem issues twelve students identification as students have characteristic low self esteem. Furthermore comb out subject for group experiment and group control used by random with amount six students for every group. There are two kinds of instrument are used those are instument treatment and measure. Instrument treatment as project implementation group counseling cognitive behavior, whereas instrument measure as inventory self esteem which has validity value grain total with value R on top of 0,32, and realibility are 0,945 can be concluded inventory self esteem reliable and worth as a research instrument. The data is analyzed with test statistic nonparametrik Two Independent Sample Test Mann Whitney U. The income hypothesis get value Z is -2,242 and figure Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0,025 < 0,05, so Ho is refused, which meaning effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Group Counseling to increase self esteem of Vocational high school. Based on the analysis of the found the research (1) to counselor: Cognitive Behavior Group Counseling can be carried out to increase self esteem of vocational high school students, and can be principle to understanding of grown students; and 2) to next researcher: This research applicate Cognitive Behavior Group Counseling with cognitive restructuring, problem solving and homework technique, for the Next researcher can test the effectiveness by using the other technique that relevant, or may be the researcher can use the other design as single subject design, action research in guidence and counseling, or the other exsperiment research that model Cognitive Behavior Group Counseling can be test the effectiviness.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research was to examine whether there is significant correlation or not between reading interest and learning style of LPTK’s students as professional teacher candidates. 126 samples were taken from 4 LPTK was previously a state Teachers’ Training College (IKIP Negeri) in June - November 2016, involving 126 respondents. Data were analyzed using an application aid Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 21 and Winstep version 37.1 applications Rasch modeling to determine the categories of respondents are more uncertain. Hypotheses were tested using Cramer’s V nonparametric correlation method. The Result showed that approximate significantly. (0.818) was higher that alpha (0.05), it can be concluded that the Null Hypothesis (H0) “there is no significant correlation between reading interest and learning style on LPTK’s students”.

Abstract

LPTK as a producer of educators must be proactive towards a world-class higher education (world class university / WCU). The study was conducted in 2014. The results of this study by using a number of criteria indicate that LPTK has shown dynamics to strive towards world universities. Yet the dynamics are still small and limited, because faced with a certain number of constraints, namely (1) the lack of academic qualifications of teaching staff come from overseas graduates, as required as one of the criteria towards WCU; (2) improving the quality of lecturers is often hindered by foreign language skills, the elderly, funding, and limited provider institution quality graduate programs; (3) sending lecturers to continue their studies abroad are still hanging from the directorate Higher Education; (4) the submission of budgetary limitations that do not provide the flexibility to call / use a guest lecturer / adjunct lecturer who come from abroad; (5) there are many new courses that achieve accreditation status B / C in the assessment of BAN PT, so they concentrated on improving the status of accreditation of the study programs; (6) the reliance fund / budget delivery of education LPTK against the government (APBN), so the lack of flexibility in allocating funds specifically aimed at supporting the WCU program; (7) the appointment of a lecturer / lecturer in LPTK are insufficient to meet the needs, especially in terms of the angle ratio of the number of faculty and students; and (8) lack of journals in college container itself or else outside an accredited institution of national / international lecturers publish scientific papers.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the utilization of application programs on mobile phones in the student learning process. This research is a requirement analysis step from development research entitled “Development of Moodle Based Learning Mobile for Learning in Higher Education”. The study was conducted from March to May 2017 involving 64 students for the course of Development of Learners. This research was used survey research method with quantitative approach. The data was collected by an open questionnaire given to 64 students. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. The result of the research shows that there is still minimal use of mobile phones to be used in learning process and student learning and there are still many social media applications that are often opened by students. This research has implications for the presence of a moodle-based mobile learning application that can be used by students to study in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of stress on the job situation of psychological well-being. The population in this study is a honorary teachers in Islamic Elementary School in the City of Tangerang. This study uses a quantitative method with a sample of honorary teachers in Islamic Elementary School in the City of Tangerang amounted to 55 respondents. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling with 55 respondents. This study uses two scale that a scale of psychological well-being and stress scale were arranged by researcher based on the theories of stress advanced by Robbins & Judges (2013), Gibson, Ivancevich, Donelly & Konopaske (2012) and Newstrom & Davis (2002). Test hypothesis in this study using a regression analysis one predictors. Based on the analysis of data, this means that there is influence between stress on the job situation to the psychological well-being on a honorary teacher Islamic Elementary School (MI) in the city of Tangerang. The resulting negative influence, meaning that if the work situation of high stress levels, the levels of psychological well-being will be lower.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is one of the problems student usually faced, caused by fatigue or boredom. While in the other side, students needs the ability to regulate themselves for striving their goals. This study aims to determine the influence of self-regulation towards academic procrastination using quantitative method with psychological scale in questionnaire form. This research instrument was developed based on the theory of academic procrastination by Ferrari and self-regulation theory by Barkley. This research was conducted in June 2016. The samples of this study were the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Jakarta (State Senior High School of Jakarta). The sampling technic used was cluster random sampling. The analytical statistic used to test the hypothesis was regression analysis using SPSS program verse 19 and Rasch Model. The Result of this study indicates that there is negative effect of self-regulation towards academic procrastination. It shows that the higher self-regulation performed, then the lower academic procrastination will become. The influence which resulted by self-regulation towards academic procrastination is 29,3% and the rest 70,7%, is caused by another factor.

Abstract

The problem discussed in this study is improving the roles of frontlined teachers (GGD) in developing the schools they assigned to become an Effective School. This study aims at contributing a thought for improving the roles of frontlined teachers in developing the school they assigned to become Effective School in East Aceh. The method used was a descriptive qualitative by applying data collecting technique such as interview, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), documentary, and observation conducted through December 2015. The study reveals some roles of the frontlined teachers are to be optimalized related to (1) school principal, (2) fellow teachers, (3) students, (4) parents/community, and (5) fellow frontlined teachers,. The conclusion of this study is that the presence of frontlined teachers is needed to help overcome the educational school problems in East Aceh Disrict.

Abstract

The research development model of Islamic study self-learning module with religion understanding de-radicalization is to improve students’ ability to understand the teachings of Islam without radicalism. The study began with the development of a preliminary study following the model by Borg & Gall, then the product development followed the procedures of instructional development model (MPI) resulting the final product in the form of self-study module. The validation test and product development were carried out properly according to the procedures, starting from identifying, developing and evaluating and revising. To test the effectiveness of product development, the researcher used two techniques of assessing user’s response and t- test. The results of the effectiveness test show that the module has effectively improved the students’ ability to use the methods of understanding the Islam teachings without radicalism.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce the learning materials for Social Science Study at the fifth grade of elementary school students. The materials were focused on the theme of the Indonesian struggle against Dutch and Japanese colonialism. The learning materials were produced by applying the research and development model adopted by Atwi Suparman. This research, conducted as from October 2015 through 2016, involved 43 students of the fifth grade, in the State Primary School of Jati 03 Pag,i East Jakarta. For product evaluation, this research used expert review before trying out to-one-to-one, small group, and field test. The try out indicates, the learning materials developed for Social Science Study based on constructivism meets the criteria of “very good” at the fifth grade of Primary School.
