Abstract

The benefits of educational facilities greatly affect the smoothness and sustainability of the learning process. Universitas PGRI Palembang has good facilities and infrastructure ranging from comfortable lecture room and has been completed by infocus, accredited library A and integrated lab, and other facilities that support the student learning process, but sometimes facilities that have been maximally completed by University is not in good use by students or by lecturers. This research aimed at investigating the value of benefit from the use of facilities and infrastructure to support the student learning activities in academic year 2016/2017. This research was descriptive by using quantitative approach. The result concluded that the infrastructure facilities in Universitas PGRI Palembang in good categories which were seen from the number of student statement 80,20.

Abstract

a quality service is an important point of administration staff in school. A good service gives more satisfaction to the customers. This study used qualitative approach to explore the stakeholders’ competence in school in advising social competence (quality service). This research focused on administration staff that give quality service to the customers. The data were collected through observation and interview. The data analyisis of this research used Miles & Huberman’s model. The results revealed that administration staff needs training and educational program to improve the competence.  Keyword: Leadership, Headmaster, Training and Education, Administration Staff, Quality Service.

Abstract

This research focused on the character education program, and its function in instilling character education through Infrastructure. This research was qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this research were observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The results revealed that the change happened after the implementation of Infrastructure related to shaping the quality and character of the learners; after the establishment of mosque facilities, the students were familiar with prayer jamaah, read the Quran with Islamic poetry, could be dai and daiyah islam, understanding hadith, tafsir al-Quran, able to write calligraphy and able to make scientific work of Islam. Changes that occurred after the Infrastructure materialized was the learners more religious, talented and disciplined.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing the implementation of academic supervision of the principal MIS Batusangkar. This research was qualitative. The subjects of this research were the principal and teachers MIS Batusanggkar. The interview was used on data collection technique.. The results showed that 1) the implementation of the academic supervision was good, it consists of planning, implementation, and evaluation; 2) the techniques used on academic supervision were teachers’ meeting, visiting class, and personal dialogue; and 3) the response of teachers to the implementation of the supervision were very positive. Keywords: Academic Supervision, Principal, Primary School, Batusangkar

Abstract

In this paper, we tried to see the entrepreneurship character education of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. We raised character-based entrepreneurship education. We used qualitative in this paper and interviews, observations, document studies and triangulation were used to collect the data. The results provided indicate that the development of entrepreneurship education in SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja were religious, noble character, national competitiveness, creative, independent, discipline and environmentally insight.

Abstract

The number of competition in the educational world in Indonesia requires educational institutions have value added to be selected and trusted by the community. The added value can be implemented as the quality of education in which the educational institution provides a guarantee of communities’ satisfaction as consumer. The quality of institutions should respond to the demand changes occur in society. In order to meet the demand and community needs the educational institutions should be built with an organizational culture that provides strength for the implementation of quality process. This research used quantitative, and the questionnaire was used as instrument. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of vision and culture of healthy organization stimulant can improve the quality of education in YWKA High School of Palembang. In other words, the implementation of vision has a significant impact on the quality of education. Evident from the results of statistical showed that the value of R Square (R2) was 0.985 (98.5%), the figure illustrates that the percentage contribution of independent variables vision and organizational culture influence 98.5% while the rest of 1, 5% influenced by other variable not examined in this research. Keywords: Vision, Organizational Culture, Educational Institutions, Educational Quality.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing 1) implementation of school policy in tackling juvenile delinquency in SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Rawabening; 2) supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing school policy implementation. This research is qualitative research. This research was conducted in SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Rawabening with research subjects is headmaster, student, teacher, and class guardian. Data collection techniques were interview, observation and document study. Data analysis technique using Miles and Hubberman interactive model. The results showed that 1) implementation of school policy in tackling delinquency teenagers composed in curative countermeasures in the form of socialization provided from the Department of Education of South Sumatra; Police; as well as the National Narcotics Agency. Representative efforts in the form of school rules that are applied in everyday life and must be obeyed by learners. Preventive efforts include reprimands for students who violate school rules. 2) supporting factor was high commitment of all school residents and parents, relationships are woven, and active participation of all parties. Inhibiting factors were resources that are not optimal, differences in inter-educator handling, and less strict punishment.

Abstract

Currently, happened the competition of universities both state (PTN) and private (PTS) in Indonesia for gaining students. This study aimed at analyzing the promotional strategies, effectiveness, and inhibiting factors of promotion by using mixed method. Subjects in this study consisted of promotion team and prospective new students in PGRI University of Palembang as many as 53 people. Data were collected through interview and questionnaire, then analyzed by using data triangulation technique and regression test technique. The results showed that the promotion strategy undertaken by PGRI University of Palembang was Advertising, Personal Selling, Publicity, and Word of Mouth. Partial advertisement is the most influential variable (34,4%) whereas the least influence variable was Publicity (19,3%). Advertising Variables, Personal Selling, Publicity, and Word of Mouth simultaneously have a significant effect on the increase of the students by 65.6% while the remaining 34.4% was influenced by other variables. The inhibiting factors of promotional activities were insufficient promotional funds, lack of human resources in the field of communication science, as well as interpersonal communication that is less harmonic among employees. Keywords: Promotional Strategies; the Increase of the Students, PGRI Univerity of Palembang

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the implementation of school literacy movement (GLS) as a character of educational formation. This research was qualitative that produces descriptive data in the form of words written or spoken of people and observed behavior. While, the type of research was a case study. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results of the research were school literacy movement was able to access, understand, and use through reading. Implementation of the school literacy movement in SMK Negeri 1 Tanah Abang run well by involving the school community (learners, teachers, principals, education personnel, school supervisors, school committee, parents of learners), and stakeholders under the coordination of the Directorate General Primary and Secondary Education Ministry of Education and Culture.

Abstract

Human resource is an investment which necessary for organization to reach its goals. One way to reach goals of organization is by developing human resources. The Development of human resources represent activities which need to be done by company, so that knowledge and ability of employees as according to work demand. One of the effort in human resources development is by knowing motivation which increases employees performance. This research conducted by observation, interview and distribution of questionnaire. Instrument tested by measuring its reliability and validity. To test interrelations and contribute factors that happened between variables used by simple regression.
