Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence and response of the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) volatility to changes in macroeconomic variables. VECM was used to examine the long-and short-term effects, while IRF was used to analyze the JII response. Data were obtained from BPS, BI, and Yahoo Finance monthly from 2015-2020 using global macroeconomic fiscal variables, including inflation, BI and Exchange Rates, Industrial Production Index, World Oil Price, Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index, and DJIM Malaysia Titan 25 Index. The results show that JII is influenced by inflation variables, BI rate, IPI, OP, MHS, and DJIM in the long term but not the exchange rate. Furthermore, it is influenced by BI rate, IPI, OP, MHS, and DJIM in the short term, while the exchange rate and inflation have no significant effect. Macroeconomic variable shock influence JII by 52,27% while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the model. This research implies that the JII index is very sensit ive to economic changes.

A Comprehensive stage that cannot be directly implementedin stages, and it is good preparation. Meaning the poor in the hadith alsoindicates the importance of attention of all the parties is not limited to anymaterial deficiencies. Abolishing riba contracts become compulsory becausethe impact of usury posed for the poor. Pairing the word riba in Quran withthree words will inspire the solutions and replacement of such contract.

Abstract

AbstractEfficient Market is the market where all traded securities prices reflects all available information. Market Efficient Hypotesis in the Weak Form stated that past stock price movement incorporated with current securities’s prices, thus it can be used to predicting the current price or return. The objective of this research is to examine the weak form of Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH) in Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) over the period of January 3rd2017 -February 8th 2019. To Examine the EMH, some appropriate tests are developed, these are: Run Test, Autocorrelation Test, Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), and Paired Sample t-test. The result findings showing that ISSI is not efficient in the weak form during the period of the study. Moreover, in accordance with time series modelling result, the fitted model is ARIMA (1,1,1) with accuracy level of 78%. This result proved that ARIMA model successfully and accurately in forecasting ISSI indices. It can be implied that the historical stock index data in the past still described the stock index information in the future. Thus, technical analysis is still feasible to do as the guide for investors in conducting transactions in the capital market.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of bank size (SIZE), profitability (ROA), efficiency (EFF), non-performing finance (NPF), interest (INTR), and inflation (INFL) on profit and loss sharing (PLS) financing (equity financing), and sale-purchase (SP) financing (debt financing) Islamic banks in Indonesia. Furthermore, monthly Islamic bank data in June 2014 to July 2020 was used. The autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) method was used to determine the short and long-term effects of the independent variables on the financing variable. The results showed that ROA and EFF have a positive effect on MRF but ROA and EFF have a negative effect on MDA and MSF. NPF has a positive effect on MDF, but has a negative effect on MRF. Meanwhile, SIZE has a negative effect on MDF, MDA, MRF, and MRA. The INTR has a negative effect on MDA, MRF, and MRA. The implication of this research is that financialperformance has more influence on debt financing compared to equity financing of Islamic banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal factors such as financing and third-party funds, as well as external factors including inflation, BI, and exchange rate against Return On Asset (ROA) at Indonesian Foreign Exchange Sharia Bank. Furthermore, the library research was used and quantitatively described. Also, using the total sampling technique, the research team obtained six sample banks, namely Bank Mega Syariah, Muamalat Indonesia, Panin Dubai Syariah, BNI Syariah, BRI Syariah, and Bank Syariah Mandiri. The data include Balance Sheet and Profit, Loss Financial Statements, as well as the published reports on inflation, BI, or exchange rates obtained in a quarterly period from 2015 to 2019. According to the F-test, there was a significant influence between the independent variables (Financing, Third Party Funds, Inflation, BI, and Exchange Rates) on the dependent (ROA). Meanwhile, the t-test showed there was no significant effect of partial financing, Third Party Funds, BI rate (X ), and Kurs (X ) on the ROA. Therefore, this study showed there was an increase in ROA because the society involves in financing due to high inflation.

Abstract

Profit-loss sharing financing is one of the leading business activities carried out by Islamic banks, including buying, selling, and leasing. Thus, it is important to identify the determinants of profit-loss sharing financing of Islamic banks. This study examines the effect of capital adequacy ratios, non-performing financing, third party funds, and profit-sharing rate on mudharabah deposits of Islamic banks in Indonesia. Eleven Islamic banks in Indonesia from 2015 to 2019 periode were selected as sample of the study using purposive sampling. Data analysis using Partial Least Square with SmartPLS software version 3.3.7. The study results indicate that third-party funds have a significant positive effect on profit-loss sharing financing. The increasing number of third-party funds that Islamic banks have collected from customers impacts increasing distribution in the form of profit-loss sharing financing. The study results also indicate that the capital adequacy ratio, non-performing financing, and profit-sharing rate on mudharabah deposits do not affect profit-loss sharing financing. The implications for Islamic banks are to maintain the amount of third-party funds collection and compliance with sharia principles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the measurement and structural models of digital platform, financial literacy, motivation, and Generation Z's decision to invest in Islamic stocks. Furthermore, this study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis and involves more than two variables, with 123 respondents from West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, who actively invest in Islamic stocks, providing accurate information through multivariate analysis. The study found that digital platforms and motivation have a significant impact on Generation Z's decision to invest in Islamic stocks, while financial literacy has an insignificant effect. However, the analysis results indicated that financial literacy has indirectly motivated them to invest in these types of stocks through motivation. This suggests that digital platforms and motivation play a crucial role in investment decisions. Therefore, service providers need to continuously develop digital applications as transaction tools to cater to the needs of Generation Z. Additionally, improving financial literacy is crucial to increasing people's investment skills, even though it may not directly affect investment decisions.

Abstract

Rapid and dynamic changes in the financial and economic systems are posing various risks and instabilities to Islamic banking institutions. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of macroeconomic factors and bank abilities on financing risk in Indonesia. In this analysis, the 2005-2019 sharia banking statistics at 92 rural banks were emphasized in the country. A panel data regression was also employed with the fixed effect method during the experimental procedure. The results showed a negative and significant relationship between economic growth, FDR (financing to deposit ratio), and CAR (capital adequacy ratio) toward financing risk. Moreover, a positive and significant relationship was found between the benchmark loan rate on financing risk, although inflation had no significant effect. Economic growth was also a key factor influencing financing risk in the sharia rural banks sector. Based on these results, banking regulators were found to operate according to sharia principles, to selectively optimize and carefully monitor financial distribution and activities with high financing risk.
