Abstract

The objectives of this study is to analize whether changing in public's preference for income taxes as opposed to expenditure taxes might had something to do with changing demography. The Study was aimed to be The Study of Behavior Life Cycle Hyphothesis (BLCH) to prove the theory's claim that pubic preference tor income taxes as opposed to expenditure taxes might rely on individual position on his/her life cycle. His/her position also determined his/her self controling ability (in delaying consumption to the future) and his/her intention (in mentally segregating income into distict accounts which carry different marginal propensities to consume).By doing Zimmerman's et.al. (1995) study as a replication with some adjustment to meet Indonesia demographic conditions (Jakarta population as a sample) and tax system which we/I­known in Indonesian tax regulation system, this study had pick sample of Jakarta tax payer individuals (with some judgement to meet Indonesian demographic representation). The questionaires were distributed during June ­ August 2003 to two Big Five accounting firm (Ernst and Young, Hanadi Sarwoko, Sandjaya and Price Water House Coopers (PWCs, Hadisusanto and co.) and Jakarta Regional Tax Offices (iv, V, VI and VII). There were 40,27% response rate or 149 out of 370 questionaires distributed (2 questionaires were dropped). The study was using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) as its statistical examination instrument, and using AMOS 2003 statistics application. This study have documented some findings which imply BLCH individual might view increased income taxes as a penalty on their own productive performance but either view increased consumption taxes as the reflection of unequity issue. In aging population, instead of supporting 1995 Zimmerman et. al. study which had documented agreement with increased consumption taxes, the result of this study not suggest the shifting public preference from income taxation to consumption taxation intact this study found the population reacted against both increased income taxes and increased consumption taxes which may be related to changing demographics.

Abstract

Wrong custumer perception of a product can cause negative effect for it’s marketing, more over if that product is new product that trying to enter in market that has already been occupied by other product which have been already known cy costumer. If this situation continuos happens will affect the image of product it self, of course it is important to improve the perception toward the product so costumer perception becomes positive and finally will affect buying intention of costumer.This research analyze the costumer perception on motor cycle product called Millenium which is produce in China, after the selected costumer assessing directly by following promotion campaign such as exhibition and test drive. Attributes, that are investigated, are costumer assesment on extrinsic attributess, promotion strategy toward quality perception that cause buying intention.

Abstract

Quality is one of the problem which is often incorrect to be understood. Quality is illustrated as symbol of beauty, goodness, expensiveness and luxury. Those all make quality becoming difficult thing to be understood and handled. Perhaps, quality is the best manner to determine the customer's loyalty. Quality is also as defence tool from the competitor attack and as away to place in solid development and profit. The purpose of this thesis are: the first, to analyze the influence of line manufacturing (line I and II) of the thickness and the length of GIS at the department of production PT.Semarang Makmur; the second, to analyze the influence of production time of thicness and the length of GIS at the department of production PT.Semarang Makmur; the third, to analyze the process capability of production PT.Semarang Makmur with anlyzing tools such as SPC Variable and Atribut. And the fourth, to anlyze the variance of the thickness and the length those are to anlyze the degree of product damage of GIS with cause and effect diagram. With the above steps, the line influence of production the thickness and the length of GIS are not found, there is shift influence of the thickness and the length of GIS at both lines of production, there is time influence of production the thickness and the length of GIS. Then with SPC Variable and attribute is found that the production process in line I and II in producing GIS based on the thickness is capable but the process of product is being produced that is accordance with spesification; the production process in line I and II in producing GIS based on the length is not capable and the process at the product is being produced that Is not accordance wffh spesification. From the problem investigation with caused and effect diagram, the problem are found that may cause output variation. The mentioned problem is devided into five main part those are: the first, the work method that consist of tum over shift, evening shift, the error of SOP; the second, the machinery consist of machine maintanance, machine damage, setting error; the third, the work environment consist of voice pollution, room temperature, lighting, air polution; the fourth, the raw material consists of supplier, material handling, the raw material go down; the fifth, the employee consist of solidarity, less dicipline, skill and tiredness. From the problem investigation with cause and effect diagram above and the tree diagram can be achieved the solution that is found in the managerial implication.

Abstract

AbstractThis purpose  of this research is to analyze the causal relationship between gold return  and stock market return as well as the influence of the two variables and the effect of inflation as a macroeconomic   variable to gold return  and stock  market return.  This research was conducted to determine the best investment choice between gold investments  dan stock investments during time of inflation from 1994 – 2013. During the research period occurs phenomenon in which relationships between variables are not in accordance with the theories that have been proposed.  This is upported by the differences in the results of several previous  researches.This study is done by using the monthly data of gold price, JCI and inflation end of each month during the period January 1994 – December 2013. Methods of analysis used in this study using VAR estimation  model  by using the optimal lag test, stationary test, Johansen cointegration test, Granger causality  test, IRF and  analysis  of VD.This results  of this research showed no causal relationship between gold returns  and stock market returns. Based on the estimated  VAR models  it is known that in the short term gold returns  have no effect on stock  market returns  and vice versa as well as the inflation variable does not affect the return of gold and stock market returns. Johansen cointegration test results show there is a long – term relationship between the three variables. IRF analysis  results indicate that stock market return is convergent  and has no effect permanently. These results  were confirmed  by the results  analysis of VD which  shows  that the gold returns reached stability in the fifth period after the shock is given, while the stock market returns in the sixth period. It can be concluded that the movement that occurs in gold investment does not cause movement of the stock investment and they do not have a relationship of mutual influence and variable inflation has not effect on them. In the end, it is known that gold investment is the best option compared to stock investment during times of inflation.

Abstract

Stock return of properties and real estate in Indonesia have value tor investors. A lot of people invest their finance capital on properties can get increased their finance capital. Guard against loss performed in order to test the influence of ROE, DER, PBV, EPS and Systematic Risk toward stock return of properties and Real Estate. Companies that listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia (BE/) for period 2003-2007.Population of this research 35 company that listed in BEI 2003-2007 and getting beyond purposive sampling with criteria as (1) go public in 2003-2007 and (2) always seen annual financial report over period 2003-2007. Data that needed in this research taken from Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) 2003-2007 was acquired 23 sample company. Data analysis with multiple regression. Hypotheses test use t-statistic and F-statistic; at level of significance 5%. A classic assumption examination which consist of data normality test, multicolinierty test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test is also being done to test the data.Base on the result of this research, classic assumption has not founded, this indicate that the available data fulfill the condition to use multiple regression model. Empiric31 evidence of analysis show as Debt Earning Ratio (DER) and Systematic Risk have significant effect toward stock return at level of significances less than 5% (as 0,5%, 0,014% and 0,026% respectively). While five independent variable Return on Equity (ROE), Price to Book Value (PBV), and Earning per Share (EPS) nat have influence toward stock return at level of significances less than 5% (as 0,000%). Result of this research indicate that Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Earning Ratio (DER), Price to Book Value (PBV), Earning per Share (EPS), and Systematic Risk use by investor to predict stock return of property company that listed in BEI at period 2003-2007.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai keadilan organisasional yang meliputi keadilan prosedural dan keadilan distributit di Indonesia dapat dikatakan masih minim. Maka penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengaruh langsung dan pengaruh tidak langsung dari keadilan prosedural dan keadi/an distributif terhadap komitmen atektif, dimana untuk pengaruh tidak langsung dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja. Walaupun peneliti-peneliti sebelumnya telah menjelaskan mengenai hubungan keadilan organisasional terhadap komitmen organisasional, akan tetapi sebagian besar dari mereka tidak menjelaskan secara spesitikjenis komitmen organisasional yang manakah yang sebenarnya mereka teliti. Untuk itulah perlu adanya penggunaan konstruk yang multidimensional untuk dapat memahami fenomena komitmen organisasional dengan lebih baik. Karenanya penelitian ini menggunakan salah satujenis dari komitmen organisasionalyaitu komitmen afektif.Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda analisis jalur (path analysis), dengan data sebanyak 86 responden yang berasal dari para karyawan salah satu perusahaan swasta asing di Indonesia yang telah bekerja minimal selama satu tahun pada perusahaan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan analisis jalur melalui dua tahapan regresi, penelitian ini menghasilkan variabel yang memiliki pengaruh total terbesar terhadap komitmen atektif, yaitu keadilan distributif dengan nilai sebesar 0. 651 yang dihitung melalui penjumlahan standardized coefficient beta dari keadilan distributif ke komitmen atektif secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja. Selain itu, koetisien determinasi total menunjukkan bahwa 84. 6% perubahan variabel komitmen atektifmampu dijelaskan oleh variabel keadilan prosedural, keadilan distributif, dan kepuasan kerja sesuai model. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 15. 4% dijelaskan oleh variabel-variabel lain diluar model penelitian ini.Hasil yang didapat secara parsial dari masing-masing jalur yaitu keadilan prosedural dan keadilan distributif memiliki pengaruh positit dan signitikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, yang kemudian kepuasan kerja mempengaruhi komitmen afektif secara positif dan signifikan. lni berarti baik keadilan prosedural maupun keadilan distributif memilikipengaruh tidak langsung terhadap komitmen afektifmelalui kepuasan kerja. Untuk pengaruh langsung hanya keadilan distributifyang mempengaruhi komitmen afektif secara positif dan signifikan, sedangkan keadilan prosedural hanya memberipengaruh positifke komitmen afektit akan tetapi tidak signitikan.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the relationship between stocks ownership by directors and commissioner and bank bankruptcy. Sample of 34 banks were selected from 111 banks where their CEO and commissioner at the end of 1995 were also shareholders of their bank.The result shows that commissioner stock ownership was significantly related with bankruptcy. Meanwhile, CEO stock ownership shows insignificant relation with bank bankruptcy

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of managerial strategic on the relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance. The objectives of this study are : (1) to investigate the relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance and (2) to investigate the relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance differs depending on the degree of decentralization.  (3) to investigate the effect of managerial strategic in the relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance.  (4)) to investigate the effect of managerial  strategic on the relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance  differs depending on the degree of decentralization. The expectations in the model were explored with data gathered from 26 public banks in Bursa Efek Jakarta. The study uses a research methodology survey method supplemented by questionnaire, the survey questionnaire is adapted from previous studies. The respondents of the survey questionnaire were Chief Executive Officers and Middle Managers responsible for unit budgets in the sample of companies. The result of the study are :  (1) there is a significant relationship between budgeting design ugase and managerial performance.  (2) There is a significant relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance differs depending onteh degree of decentralization.  (3) there is a significant relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance is moderated by managerial strategic.  (4)  The moderating effect of managerial strategic on  the relationship between budgeting design usage and managerial performance differs depending on the degree of decentralization.

Abstract

This qualitative phenomenological study to examine and compare the style and character of Gen Y leadership with the style and character of Gen X leadership in PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara Area Pengatur Distribusi Jawa Tengah & Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The study was conducted through in-depth interviews and direct observation of selected respondents. The questions are (i) Gen X (old) leadership in preparing the cadre to deal with change, (ii) Gen Y's leadership in responding to the company's target challenge in the face of change.The respondents of this study were the group of Gen Y leaders and the group of Gen X leaders at PT. PLN APD Jateng & DIY. The method used is qualitative phenomenology. It is used because the purpose of this study to reveal the meaning of concept or phenomenon of experience based on the awareness that occurs in some individuals in PT. PLN APD Jateng & DIY.The results showed that Gen Y Leader at PT. PLN APD Jateng & DIY provides an understanding of organizational achievement targets to staff or subordinates in typical millennial youth. In addition to coaching, mentoring and counseling (CMC) and streamlining the WhatsApp Group (WA), they also often hang out together. The leadership cadre preparation process continues unabated, through an active WA Group 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 30 days in a month. While the leaders of Gen X only use the CMC, code of conduct (CoC), and the person in charge (PIC) for the pattern of regeneration. The results also show that in addition to being very open to differences, Gen Y's leaders are also very tolerant of conflict in working relationships.

Abstract

Tingkat keberhasilan kepala desa dilihat dari perspektlf gender (perempuan dan laki-laki) akan dianalisis pada penelitian ini. Daerah penelitian yang dipilih adalah  Kabupaten Kendal (mewakili daerah pesisir) dan Kabupaten Klaten (mewakili daerah pedalaman). Metode sampling purposif telah dipakai untuk memilih 8 sampel kepala desa/ kelurahan dan  173 sampel dari masyarakat (wakil rakyat).Statistik deskriptif dan uji beda rata dipakai sebagai alat analisis pada penelitian ini. Gaya keµemimpinan kepala desa/ kelurahan yang dipersepsikan oleh masing-masing  responden menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat berpendapat  bahwa kepala desa/kelurahan mereka cenderung bertindak demokratis dalam gaya kepemimpinannya (rating I). Sedangkan untuk rating II adalah dipersepsikan bahwa  banyak para pemimpin pemerintahan desa mereka bergaya kepemimpinan campuran antara demokratis dan otoriter. Secara umum dapat dikatakan bahwa tipe hubungan dari tangga kepemimpinan yang terbanyak adalah pada tangga kepemfmpinan yang ke-7: memberikan empati (42,0 persen) diikuti dengan tangga ke-6: suka melibatkan diri (32,4 persen) dan tangga ke-8: dapat menggerakkan masa  (12,5 persen).     Berdasarkan uji perbedaan rata-rata yang telah dilakukan terhadap efektivitas keberhasilan kepemimpinan dari kepala desa/ lurah dilihat dari perspektif gender nampak bahwa ternyata secara statistik tidak memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan (berarti)  dari kesemua komponen (ada lima faktor) yang diuji. Dari hasil temuan tersebut dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa sebenarnya kompetensi manajerial dari kepala desa atau kepala kelurahan laki-laki adalah tidak berbeda dengan kompetensi manajerial dari kepala desa atau kepala kelurahan perempuan. Sehingga sebaiknya peluang untuk menduduki jabatan sebagai pimpinan (baik politis maupun tidak politis) sudah selayaknya untuk diberikan kepada pihak yang mempunyai kompetensi manajerial dan strategi dengan tidak bias jepada masalah gendernya.
