Abstract

In order that position of a brand always engage in the mind of consumers, the company does not only act positioning strategy, but they have to give the right information about their product, and advertising on the television is one of the most effective promotion media. The main reaction of advertisement is purchase, but it’s happened in the end of the long process before the consumer makes their decision. Usually the effect of advertising communication is to measure the awareness, knowledge, preference and confidence. One of model can be used to measure the advertising effectiveness is Consumer Decision Model (CMD) by Howard, Shay and Green. The findings indicated that information, brand recognition, attitude, and confidence are identified as intervening variable which can strongly effect information to customer’s intention. Structural analysis seen that the biggest influence to intention shown by variable of advertisement message through attitude and confidence. The ability of advertisement to create attitude and confidence which supporting a product oftentimes hinging to consumer’s attitude and confidence to advertisement itself. The advertisement which evaluated better can yield positive attitude to product. Even sometimes, that unwelcome advertisement can succeed. This matter happens because the advertisement schema is salience in consumer’s view. The fact said that attitude developed by brand is more difficult than customer’s confidence. To create consumer’s attitude which is direct to consumer’s intention, continuity and intensity of commercials are recommended.

Abstract

The poor quality of television program available to Indonesian children and the escalating cases of anti-social and delinquency among children are undeniably the hard fact. But linking the two in a causal relationship is a mere speculation that oversimplifying the issue. At the conceptual level in the study of mass communication, there are theories based on the perspective of the limited influence of the mass media. Theories such as those of Klapper’s phenomenistic, DeFleur’s individual differences and social category, selective processes theory, and  Seymour Feshbach’s catharsis theory, are all discouraging the behavioral effect of mass communication.Media influence on children is determined by their comprehension in TV viewing. By about age 8 or 9 (Huston et.al), children are about as accurate as adults in judging whether a television program is presenting fiction or fact. There are arguments on how children perceive the reality out of the television. First, Aletha C. Huston explained that perceptions of reality occur on two dimensions: factuality and social realism. Second, Gunter and McAleer pointed out that children use three categories of television versus real-life comparisons. These include the category of the ‘actual’, the ‘possible’, and the ‘impossible’. The third explanation dealt with the way children evaluate characters in television programs.Findings revealed that perception on factuality was dominant in programs such as news, sports, infotainment, talk-show, variety-show, music, and reality-show. Perception of social realism was dominant in cartoons, movies, and soap-operas. Similar to those of factuality, the actual category appeared predominantly in news, sports, religion, talk-show, variety-show, music, and reality-show. The possible was slightly highlighted in cartoons, movies, and soap-operas. While the impossible also seemed dominant in cartoons, movies, and soap-operas.Conceptually, the 4 children’s favorite characters are the humor of the characters; the strength of the characters; the attractiveness of the characters; and the activity level of the characters. Humor was dominant in cartoons, talk-show, and variety-show. Strength was central in sports and movies, and attractive in infotainment and talk-show. There were no active characters significantly perceived in any television programs.

Abstract

Perdagangan bebas dan krisis ekonomi global yang terjadi saat ini mengharuskan Indonesia berupaya keras untuk dapat bersaing baik di pasar dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Pengembangan ekonomi kreatif merupakan pilihan tepat untuk menjaga ketahanan (resiliensi) ekonomi dalam kondisi krisis global. Pertumbuhan ekonomi global yang masih lemah, tidak berimbang, dan rentan terhadap gejolak, tentunya mempengaruhi kestabilan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia yang akhirnya mengakibatkan kerentanan ekonomi. Pengembangan ekonomi kreatif merupakan pilihan tepat untuk menjaga ketahanan ekonomi dalam kondisi krisis global. Ketahanan Nasional tidak akan dapat tercapai jika pembangunan ekonomi pada sektor riil belum dapat terakomodasi dengan baik. Momentum globalisasi dan pasar bebas hendaknya memberikan sebuah kesempatan yang sangat baik bagi ekonomi kreatif namun jika tidak dikelola dengan baik akan menjadi risiko bagi pihak yang tidak mempersiapkan kompetensinya secara maksimal. Dengan besarnya ekspektasi pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi kreatif, kita dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk dapat menstimulasi terciptanya bentuk-bentuk kreativitas yang memiliki nilai lebih tinggi, termasuk nilai ekonomi dan kontribusinya bagi perekonomian.

Abstract

The scientific research in sociology has several paradigms namely positivistic, social constructivism, advocacy, participatory and pragmatic paradigm (Creswell, 2010). Positivistic paradigm considers the social reality that occurs as empirical, observed clearly and can be proven scientifically. In order to study the phenomenon in society that the positivistic paradigm has great contribution. Therefore, a question arises whether the positivistic paradigm has a major influence on the study of society? is it relevant that the positivistic paradigm used in rural sociology research? The positivistic paradigm of social phenomena is understood from an outside perspective based on the understanding of established theories. The Social reality is a phenomenon whose existence is determined by other social phenomena (interrelated variables) and its existence can be described into symbols that have been established in society. The problems in society in particular can not only be explained in constructivist paradigm but there is social phenomenon which surely needs to be explained in other paradigm such as positivistic paradigm. The positivistic paradigm is in the position of answering the problem of seeing the level and influence of social reality. Therefore, the positivistic paradigm is highly relevant to the study of rural sociology, where the phenomena occurring is unlimited and to simplify social phenomena, therefore statistics analysis is needed as a basis for concluding the data obtained from the field. In rural sociological studies, various social phenomena are associated with stratification, education, status, religion and so on. To answer the problems that occur in rural communities need a positivistic paradigm.

Abstract

Communication plays important role in the operation of an organization. Communication is able to push or block the productivity of an organization. Tembalang district government as organization that provide services to the community need good communication climate that can push members’s productivity to service community. This research aimed to examine the communication models and patterns in Tembalang district government. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research data was collected through in-depth interviews. The results showed that communication pattern applied in the organization has been highly affected by communication pattern and leadership style of its chief as the highest commander. Openness, egality, transparent, and giving sample as the applied communication style by the chief has been pushing organization members to respond the communication in an instance or passing through some leader’s levels.

Abstract

This research conducted to understand how the standard of  filling the leader of government agency at regional  level (SKPD) position in order to increase capability and profesionality of bureaucracy in Purbalingga region has been following the Merit System or not , in order to realize Good Government and also Clean Government as has been expected. Moreover, to understand there is political penetration or not in order to fill the leader of government agency at regional  level (SKPD) position in Purbalingga regency, during the Regent (Bupati) Heru Sudjatmiko leadership period in more than 3 (three) years.The result of the study showed that the standard of  filling the leader of government agency at regional  level (SKPD) position in Purbalingga regency had been done accord to procedure which is through *BAPEJAKAT Team and through Fit and proper-test process, however, the final decision still on Regency Leader’s hand in this term is the Regent (Bupati). It can be prove by the frequent investiture on Structural position of Eselon II , especially for the leader of government agency at regional  level (SKPD) position in Purbalingga regency. The Performance System has not yet applied as one of the standard of  filling officer position in regional level, and also the morality factor should be the main emphasis as well.

Abstract

Communication competence in a family whose parent were working, in the reality cn give one agreement concerning role which they run. There are some changes of role, especially at role of children education, nowadays, not only predominated by a mother. In this reseach,was also found that children togetherness, in fact, their time is much more with his father rather than their mother, because of their father’s flexibility time to work.

Abstract

Business companies are demanded to get optimum profit, so they can divide their profit to shareowner. One way to manage their budget by deciding working capital strategy. The strategy will be faced in tradeoff between liquidity and profitability. A correct working capital strategy will lead to maximum profit. Instead, most companies get over liquidity, and lower profitability. In this paper we are going to analyse liquidity and profitability from Indonesian cement companies which registered in BEI(Bursa Efek Indonesia). Financial statements from those companies, such as Semen Indonesia, Semen Holcim, Semen Indocement, and Semen Baturaja during 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 is analyst using cross-sectional and time series. During 4 years, those companies shows a consistency of using the same working capital strategy. Both Indonesian cement and Holcim using an aggressive approach, while Indocement and Baturaja using conventiobal approach.

Abstract

This study intends investigate the role of PDI in winning pair Ganjar Pranowo-Heru Sudjatmoko in Central Java Governor Election 2013. The research method uses a qualitative approach, in-depth interviews with key figures Success Team Couple Ganjar- Heru. The results show that the role of PDI was very decisive in determining the victory of the Central Java Governor Election 2013. Political Role of the PDI-P that took the role as  political recruiter and as an engine pollster or  mass mobilization.
