Abstract

Background: The tradition that is still attached to the Madura community even though they have received higher education is to maintain the culture of their ancestors which is perceived to be true, restricted movement, use of body scrubs, drinking herbal medicine, and giving food to babies early. This will continue to be implemented by their children and grandchildren as long as the problem is believed to be the best tradition (Kamariyah, 2019). Objectives: The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of using scrubs, consumption of herbs, and exclusive breastfeeding with the development of infants less than 12 months in the Madura community of East Java. Methods: This research used analytical research design. the population is postpartum mothers and infants under the age of 12 months in the Madura community, East Java, with population of 30 people, a sample of 26 respondents simple random sampling. The independent variables are the use of scrubs, consumption of herbal medicine, and exclusive breastfeeding, while the dependent variable is infant development. Data collection was done by means of interviews and observations, and the analysis of the data used was the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the Mann-Whitney statistical test with significance level 0.05. Results: The result was 0.002 < ? 0.05 so that H0 was rejected, which means that there is an influence of the tradition of consuming herbal medicine with the breastfeeding, the result is 0.022<0.05 so that H0 is rejected, which means that there is an influence of the tradition of exclusive breastfeeding. with the development of infants aged less than 12 months in the Madurese community of East Java. Conclusion: Consumption of herbal medicine, use of scrubs and exclusive breastfeeding will increase the development of infants before the age of 12 months in the Madurese community of East Java. Conclusion: Expected to apply the existing culture while still paying attention to the science that develops according to its era, for health workers to disseminate the knowledge obtained and change the mindset of the community.

Abstract

Background: Anemia experienced by young women often occurs when they are menstruating. Young women must have knowledge about these conditions, so that they can overcome these problems properly. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge of adolescents about anemia. Methods: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-post test design approach. This research was conducted at the Islamic Boarding School of Tahfizh Putri Alfirdaus Hidayatullah, Sekardangan, Sidoarjo on February 28, 2021. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. The number of samples in this study were 24 respondents. This study uses health education materials about anemia for the treatment given and a modified questionnaire from Zulaekah's (2007) knowledge level questionnaire with a Cronbach Alpha value of .594. This research was conducted by providing health education to respondents about anemia. Before the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a pre-test to measure the respondent's level of knowledge. After the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a post-test to evaluate the respondents' level of knowledge about anemia. The statistical test carried out in this study is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with significant level ? < 0.05. Results: Based on data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, it was found that there was an effect of health education on the level of adolescent knowledge about anemia (p-value = .011). Conclusion: It is important to provide health education about anemia to young women, so that they can find out what conditions they experience when they are anemic due to menstruation. Health workers are expected to provide this health education through health counseling or education.

Abstract

The new normal for nurses is a push to revitalize the profession, especially for emergency nurses. Many patients with COVID-19 will be asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic. The role of Emergency Nurses as frontline in Pandemic have to adaptation with new standard for guideline personal protection equipment. The purpose of this study was to discuss the role of Emergency Nursing in in new normal adaptation during pandemic of Covid-19. This is a theoretical reflection based on the scientific literature. The pandemic emphasizes the importance of nursing care for the preservation of life and the right to health, and the Nursing Now Campaign echoes the demand for recognition of nursing practitioners who are at the frontline fighting of the COVID-19. Nursing practitioners have vital role as care giver, educator, advocacy, researcher and agent of change. Emergency of nursing have vital role in new normal adaptation as frontline. Nursing must consider its own worth, expand its potential for lifelong learning role as care giver, educator, advocacy and researcher, and be mindful be agent of change.

Abstract

Health workers who are handling patient of SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2) or better known as the Coronavirus are legal subjects who carry out their obligations properly at their leader command, ruled accordance with the legal corridors, obtained the law right and protected from positive legal norms. This narrative research aims juridical review for protection the health workers during coronavirus pandemic. Using literature that obtained by looking materials and sources that match the theme and related them. Protection of health workers as the frontline in efforts to accelerate the handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Civil Servants who served during the Covid-19 pandemic will get a promotion one level higher. The incentive budget for medical personnel comes from a budget reallocation that has been set by Mr. President Joko Widodo for 16.63 trillion in 2020. This award is in the form of compensation and for health workers who fail, the government awards “Bintang Jasa Pratama” and “Bintang Jasa Nararya”. The government provides protection by issuing various policies to protect health workers as the frontline in efforts to accelerate the handling of coronavirus disease 2019. Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a major factor contributing to cardiovascular disease, which is the number one cause of death globally. Basic Health Research Indonesian Ministry of Health data for 2018 showed that hypertension in East Java Province increased in 2018 by 36.32. So, the authors want to know the effect of isometrics on reducing blood pressure. Objective: The authors want to know the effect of isometrics on reducing blood pressure. Design: This study design is a systematic review to search and review article from database and the theory underlying this study or guidance in this systematic literature review using PRISMA. Data Sources: Based on the results of the literature search through six databases, such as EBSCO, Springer, MedPub, Elsevier, Science Direct, and National Nursing Journal with keywords: Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Resting Blood Pressure, Isometric Training, Isometric Exercise. The data was search since June 2020. Review Methods: The method used in the preparation of the Literature review using the PRISMA checklist and PICOS. Secondary data obtained from the journal with a predetermined discussion. Results: Based on 18 articles in the literature review, it can be concluded that the results for the research is Isometric exercises that are performed are very effective in reducing blood pressure. Conclusion: Isometric exercises that are performed are very effective in reducing blood pressure. The exercise is doing in 3-4 weeks with 4x2 minutes of exercise with a rest duration of 3 minutes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Most elders with gout arthritis pain choose analgesic to deal with their pain. Massage efflurage using red ginger is a therapy to reduce gout arthritis pain. The objective of research was to find out the effectiveness of message efflurage using red ginger in relieving gout arthritis pain in elders. METHOD: The research design employed in this study was pre-experimental one group pre-posttest design. Independent variable was massage efflurage using red ginger and dependent variable was gout arthritis pain in elders. The population of research was all elders in Kedungbendo Village of Mojokerto Regency, consisted of 36 elders. The sample of research consisted of 33 elders taken using probability simple random sampling technique used. Pretest-posttest data were collected using numerical pain scale observation sheet. RESULT: The result of pretest-posttest obtained from 8 respondents with severe pain showed that their pain change into mild (5 respondents) and moderate pains (3). Out of 21 respondents, 9 respondents showed that their pain changed from moderate into no pain, 10 respondents into mild pain and 2 stable. Out of 4 respondents with mild pain, all of them showed that their pain changed into no pain. CONCLUSION: The result of Wilcoxon test showed 0.000 ≤ α= 0.05, meaning that there is an effective effect of massage efflurage using red ginger on the relief of gout arthritis pain in elders. This result indicated that massage efflurage using red ginger affected the gout arthritis pain scale in elders. Respondents are expected to reduce the consumption of analgesics and to switch to a safe alternative therapy to reduce negative effect related to aging process experienced by elders. Abstract

Abstract Objective: The aim of the study was to identify the integrated emergency risks of farmers based on nursing models in the agricultural area of Lumajang, Indonesia.Materials and Methods: A quantitative design with a descriptive approach was performed through the identification of threats, vulnerabilities, and capabilities in 357 farmers in integrated emergency response with cluster sampling techniques. Data was collected through questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. Data analysis was carried out using the Job Safety Analysis scoring method of the Australian and New Zealand Standard on Risk Management. Results: The emergency risk of farmers based on agricultural nursing was the high category, the highest threat was direct contact with chemicals (95%), the highest contact chemicals are insecticides (57%), frequency of contact once a week (44%), and the highest vulnerability not having employment insurance (97%), the length of farming > 10 years (65%) and the length of work in 1 month 10-20 days (48%), long work on land 8-10 hours (5%) and no holiday in a month (20%), while the capability of farmers in first aid to accidents was low (44%).Conclusion: The emergency risk of farmers in Lumajang was high and the capability for emergency-response based on agricultural nursing was low. Abstract

Background: Cannulation is an intervention that inserts a needle through the skin into a blood vessel. Av-shunt is the most recommended access for use in the hemodialysis therapy process. Psychosocial problems, especially feelings of anxiety and fear can be felt by patients due to AV-shunt. Anxiety is a scientific attitude experienced by each individual as a form of response in dealing with problems or threats Vascular access complications may threaten lives and reduce treatment satisfaction and life quality. Objectives: This study aimed to describe hemodialysis patient anxiety with arteriovenous fistula (AV-shunt) access. Methods: A descriptive qualitative study using the in-depth interview method with phenomenology approach. The study was carried out with four informants undergoing hemodialysis in RSUD dr. Haryoto Lumajang. Samples were taken using purposive sampling. Participant statements were recorded using a voice recorded, transcribed, coded, interpreted, and categorized to create a theme. Results: The study results produced three themes: (1) Emotional feeling perceived associated with AV-shunt experience: Anxiety, fear, and helplessness, (2) Physical and physical activity changes: Dark skin, dry skin, limp body, and fatigue, and (3) Patient knowledge regarding av-shunt, i.e., AV-shunt access and based on information sources. Conclusion: Patients with arteriovenous fistula (AV-shunt) access had anxieties caused by cannulation initial pain, fear, and sense of uselessness.

Abstract

Background: Rabies is a deadly disease that is transmitted from animals to humans and attacks the central nervous system (WHO, 2016). Data reported by the World Animal Health Organization (OIE) revealed that the global human death rate due to rabies is almost 70 thousand per year. In other words, every ten minutes one person in the world dies from the virus. Objectives: This study aimed to find out the knowledge and prevention of rabies carried out by the community around the East Tomoni Public Health Center. Methods: This study was conducted in the working area of East Tomoni Public Health Center by involving 390 participants in August 2020. Data was collected using simple random sampling. The instrument of this study is questionnaire. Statistical test method used to know independent variables are univariat analysis and bivariat analysis. Results: The majority of good knowledge as much as 351 (90%) respondents were less Knowledge while 39 (10%) respondents. Good attitude as many as 318 (81.5%) Respondents have a pretty good attitude as many as 72 (18.5%) Respondents. Good rabies prevention measures were 347 respondents (88.9%) while those who had less rabies prevention measures were 43 (11.02%) respondents. The results of the study using the Pearson Chi-Square test showed that the level of knowledge was p-value = 0.000 (α < 0.05) means there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and rabies prevention measures in the work area of ​​the Tomoni Timur Public Health Center, whereas, the attitude with the Pearson Chi-Square test shows that the attitude of p-value = 0.000 (α < 0.05) means that there is a relationship between attitude and rabies prevention measures in the working area of ​​the Tomoni Community Health Center. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of the community and rabies prevention in the East Tomoni Community Health Center.
