Abstract

This study aims to explain the efectiveness of mathematical problem type of PISA using cultural context of North Sumatera to describe reasoning dan komunication mathematic ability.This type of research is development research type development study.  The development model used is a model Plomp. The questions fill efective criteria that is obtained through the response of teacher and student. The teacher and student like and feeling interested in the question, the questions can be used to measure the student ability in mathematic reasoning and communication, the students are feeling motivated to answer the questions. The result research got from mean of result reasoning ability mathematic of student from school,high (26.00),middle (25.85), and low (14.04). The result of mean test from mathematic communication ability of student from school, high (26.15), middle (22.80), and low (24.35). Finding of the research shows that the higher the level of the questions, the lower score that student get.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the results of students 'mathematicslearning on the subject of social arithmetic is taught with conventionallearning models in class VII MTs. Smart Pure Tembung., 2) the resultsof students' mathematics learning on the subject of social arithmetic istaught with learning models Cooperative Script in class VII MTs. SmartPure Tembung., 3) differences in the results of students' mathematicslearning on the subject of social arithmetic is taught with the learningmodel and conventional Cooperative Script in class VII MTs. SmartPure Tembung. The population in this study were students of class VIIMTs. Smart Pure Tembung consists of two classes totaling 72 people.Samples were two such classes, namely class VII-2 by learningCooperative Script as many as 35 students and class VII-1 byconventional learning as many as 37 students. Instruments thatresearchers use in this study is in the form of multiple-choice test of 10questions. Test material used is a matter of social arithmetic. Thefindings of this study were (1) the average value of students who usethe Cooperative Script is X ̅ = 79 with a standard deviation S = 12.78,(2) the average value of students who use conventional learning is X ̅ =58.65 with standard deviation S = 15.72, (3) testing the hypothesis byusing t test showed to> t table or 5.653> 1.994 with df = 70 at 5%significance level. This shows that there is a positive and significantinfluence learning outcomes math students taught by cooperativelearning model script.

Abstract

Education is carried out and given to every citizen Indonesia to notleave any discrimination between formal, informal and non-formal. Thewrite language ability is absolutely necessary in today's modern life.Based on the fact turns writing skills have received less attention inschools especially those at the level of senior high school. The writtenis one of the four language skills to be learned by students. Theexposition essay used to convey the popular scientific descriptions orthe other scientific description that do not aim to influence readers.Before drawing up a bouquet of exposition course we need to preparethe data or facts needed to explain the problems discussed.

Abstract

The development of modern Information Technology has greatly changed the paradigm of the delivery of learning materials to learners, ranging from changes in methods that make teachers no longer as the only source of information to the use of learning media using the internet. One of the Content Management System that has been available for free that is easy to use in the medium of learning via the internet is WordPress. While the plugin used to display Math notation is Mathjax. MathJax is a plugin created by the American Mathematical Society (AMS) and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) aimed at displaying high quality math and scientific notations that can run on all browsers. support for LaTeX, MathML and other equations markup directly in the HTML source. an extensible, modular design with a rich API for easy integration into web applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze: (1) Is the increase creative thinking mathematics of the students who obtain a Project Based Learning model assisted by Ms.Excel higher than the ability of mathematics creativity of students who received regular learning. (2) Is there an interaction between students’ mathematics ability (high, medium, low) and model of learning to increase students’ creative thinking mathematics ability. (3) How is the students’ answering process in solving the problem of creative thinking mathematics ability in learning using Project Based Learning model assisted by Ms.Excel and regular learning. This type of research is a quasi experimental research. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive statistical and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis is intended to describe the percentage of achievement scores of students in learning by using a Project Based Learning model assisted by Ms.Excel and regular Learning. Inferential analysis of data is performed by Two Ways ANOVA. Based on those analyses, the researcher acquires the result. That are: (1) The increasing of  students’ creative thinking mathematics ability using Project Based on Learning model assisted by Ms.Excel is higher than regular learning. (2) There is no interaction between mathematical prerequisite ability and model of learning on creative thinking mathematics ability. (3) Students’ answering process that taught by Project Based Learning model assisted Ms.Excel is better than students’ answering process that taught by regular learning.

Abstract

This type of research is a classroom action research. The purpose of the research is 1) To know how the communication ability of students before applied mathematics jigsaw type cooperative learning. 2) Describe the students' mathematical communication skills after implementing jigsaw type cooperative learning. 3) To know whether there is improvement of students' mathematical communication ability after doing jigsaw type cooperative learning. The study was conducted in two cycles with the subjects of all students of class VII-2 MTs Negeri Binjai which amounted to 40 students. To obtain data in this research used post test, observation sheet of student mathematics communication, interview and documentation. After the data collected and analyzed it is obtained: 1) The result of the initial ability of students' mathematics communication through the post test obtained 31 students or 77.50% of learning completeness level did not reach KKM (≥ 75), while only 9 students or 22.50 % Of learning completeness level reached KKM (≥ 75). 2) The improvement of students' mathematical communication ability is seen from the percentage of learning result that is on the pre cycle of 22,50%, increase in cycle I become 67,50%, and in cycle II increase to 87,50%. 3) The result of observation of student mathematics communication in cycle I obtained 51,12% with "Good" criteria, and increase in cycle II with percentage 71,16% with "Very Good" criteria. Based on the results of this classroom action research it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model jigsaw type can improve students' mathematical communication skills on square and rectangular building materials in class VII-2 MTs Negeri Binjai T.A. 2016/2017.

Abstract

Efforts to Improve Problem Solving Ability and Creative ThinkingSkills Mathematical Approach Using Open Ended At Students In ClassVIII SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Terrain Academic Year 2015/2016.Thesis, Department of Mathematics Education and Teaching FacultyTarbiyah State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan, 2016. Thisstudy aims to determine: 1) The ability of solving students 'problemsbefore using the approach of open-ended, 2) Ability solving students'problems after using the approach of open-ended, 3) Ability to thinkcreatively math student before using the approach of open-ended, 4)Ability to think creative math students after using the open-endedapproach, 5) Description of the application process is open-endedapproach, 6) Description of student response during the learningprocess with the adoption of open-ended approach. This research is aclassroom action research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles, each cycleconsisting of two meetings. The instrument used to collect the dataconsists of the initial capability test, post test I, II post test, interviewand observation sheet. The research findings inform, before theadoption of the open-ended approach to the problem solving andcreative thinking abilities mathematics of the 32 students who took thetests beginning no complete student in achieving the KKM. Onceapplied the open-ended approach to the students in class VIII-B proveneffective and can improve the ability of students. This can be seen in thefirst cycle was obtained by 15 students who completed reaching theKKM, while 17 students have not fully reached the KKM. In the secondcycle test was obtained by 28 students and 4 students said to completethe unfinished reached the KKM. In the open-ended approach to theimplementation of the first cycle teachers have difficulties in timemanagement is less effective and efficient. But in the second cycle isdone then the teachers are increasingly skilled at managing time byutilizing pembelajan media actively. And the result of studentsachieving an average value classical. The response of students in the process of implementing an open-ended approach to increased activitywhere students in the first cycle by either category. Then in the secondcycle students learning activities increased with very good category. Itcan be seen that the students responded well and active in learningmathematics with application of the open-ended approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) students' mathematics learning outcomes by using macromedia flash multimedia (2) students' mathematics learning outcomes using conventional learning (3) the effect of multimedia macromedia flash on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research, with research type quasi experiment (quasi experiment). The population is all students of class VII MTs Al-Ulum Medan Lesson Year 2016/2017. The sample of this study were students of class VII-6 which amounted to 36 people as an experimental class taught using multimedia macromedia flash, and students of class VII-5 totaling 34 people as a control class taught by conventional. From the data analysis, the findings obtained are differences in the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class using macromedia flash multimedia and control classes that use conventional learning. In the study, the average value of the experimental class for pretest (initial test) was 57.92 with a standard deviation of 10.09 while for posttest (final test) was 75.97 with a standard deviation of 10.34 higher than the previous average value . In the control class the average value obtained for pretest (initial test) was 56.0 with a standard deviation of 11.13 while for the average posttest score (final test) of 69.56 with a standard deviation of 8.38 higher than the previous average value. To test the hypothesis that there is a significant influence between multimedia macromedia flash on mathematics learning outcomes learners Mts Al-Ulum Medan. Where proved that thitung> ttable is 2,848> 1,994.

Abstract

Thepopulation in this study were all students of class X SMA Sinar HusniTerrain academic year of 2015/2016 consisting of three classes. Theresearch sample was determined by random cluster sampling. Thefindings of this study is the use of cooperative learning model typeTeams Games Tournament (TGT) and learning types Teams AssistedIndividualization (TAI) with utilization LKS and props can improvestudent learning outcomes in the geometry of the material geometry inclass X SMA.

Abstract

This journal discusses about the scientific that is often a debate of scientists. Some scholars argue that the Qur'an motivates its people to love science. Other experts argued that the verses of the Qur'an gives signals of science, but in fact these thoughts comes down to the same goal which confirmed the contents of the content of the Koran and Hadith through scientific research conducted by scientists Muslim or non-Muslim. In the latest developments strengthen the stretch of Muslims about the necessity of Islamization of science. Approach in this journal is a science approach that explores the truth content of Al Qur'an and Hadith content through scientific research. In this context, Islam not only encourages its people to love science, but it gives a scientific signal which if revealed will result in the work of science that contributes to human civilization, so that the presence of science provides convenience in the survival of the creatures of the world. The authors conclude that the existence of science gained significant support in the teachings of Islam to be an integral part of the system of Islamic theology.
