Al-Irsyad: The Counseling and Education Journal is scientific journal in education and counseling guidance that managed by The Bimbingan Konseling Islam Majors of Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Faculty of UIN Sumatera Utara Medan. Al-Irsyad presents topics about development of counseling guidance profession as a teacher based on the four competence of a teacher. They are pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. Besides that, Al-Irsyad is also emphasize to the integration of islamic values. Al-Irsyad is published two times in a year. There are January-June edition and July-December edition. The first edition of Al-Irsyad was Vol.1, No.1, January-June Edition on 2012, but was not yet have p-ISSN and e-ISSN. Then, in Vol.5, No. 1, January-June Edition on 2015 was published in print with p-ISSN: 2088-8341. Further, Vol. 10, No.1, January-June 2020 Edition on 2020 edition publish OJS with e-ISSN: 2686-2859.

Abstract

Abstract: Masa pandemi covid-19 ini menimbulkan berbagaidampak dalam segi kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya yaitu darisegi psikologis bisa membuat orang mengalami anxiety yangberlebihan. Artikel ini membahas tentang bagaimana cognitivebehavior therapy dapat mengatasi kecemasan pada masapandemi covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian iniadalah studi literatur. Abstract

The strategy set by Bank CIMB Niaga in promoting growth Debtor Small MediumEnterprise Branch Medan Bukit Barisan up to date has focused on the application ofexcellent service to attract customers and prospective debtor as a partner in apartnership. However it is felt not to be able to make the maximum contribution inincreasing the number of Debtors Branch Medan Bukit Barisan so diada-kan need aresearch study to find additional strategies in doubt-sanaannya signifikant able to giveeffect to this increase SME Debtor Bank CIMB Niaga. Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes about social ethics through the application of cooperative learning strategies. The research method used was classroom action research. The research subjects of class VIII-5 MTs Negeri 2 Medan were 40 people. The instrument used was a test. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: 1) Student ethics in student relations before being provided with information services using cooperative learning strategies respectively low. This can be seen from the lack of student participation to express their opinions when the learning process takes place. 2) The implementation of the service action researchers do as much as 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: (a) planning; (b) implementation; (3) observation; (4) reflection. In the first cycle the researchers only applied the cooperative learning strategy with small group discussion methods. In the second cycle the researchers used the small group discussion method. 3) An increase in students' ethics in relationships is better by using cooperative learning strategies.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Information Services, Student Social Ethics

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to examine whether (1) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by Individualization Strategy, (2) the achievement in reading comprehension of the students with introvert learning style if they taught by Individualization strategy higher than extrovert learning style, (3) there is significant effect of Individualization Strategy and Learning Styles on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension. It was an experimental research with factorial design 2x2. The data were analyzed by using two-way ANOVA by using SPSS program. After the data had been calculated, it is found that (1) DRTA and Individualization strategies has affect students’ achievement in reading comprehension (Sig. = 0.026<0.05), students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by Individualization strategy (76.10). (2) the achievement in reading comprehension of the students with Extrovert learning style is higher than the students with Introvert learning style (83.64>73.80) and (3) there is no interaction between teaching strategies and Learning Style if they combined on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension (Sig. = 0.658 > 0.05).Key Word: Individualization Teaching Strategies; Learning Style; Students’ Achievement

Abstract

The counselor's knowledge competence includes knowledge of What is a counselor's supervisor, the requirements for a counselor's supervisor, the counselor's principal duties, the counselor's supervisory function, and the right and authority of a counselor's supervisor. Personality competence is the ability, skill and skill that a person displays. Foker states that "the personality competencies possessed by counselors are spirited educators, open, able to develop themselves and have the integrity of personality". The personality competencies that the counselor must possess are open-minded educators, able to develop themselves and have personality integrity. Counselors must have an open mind and be able to control themselves. The personality of the counselor involves things like value, work spirit, nature or characteristics, and behavior. Professionalism of a teacher is a necessity in realizing a knowledge-based school, which is an understanding of learning, curriculum, and human development including learning styles. Professional counselors provide services in the form of counseling (advocacy) coordination, collaborate and provide consultation services that can create equal opportunities in achieving opportunities and success for the counselee based on the principles of profesionaitas.Keyword: Competence, counsel teacher, global

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the contribution of learning habits to student learning outcomes in the field of mathematics study at Junior High School Istiqlal Deli Tua Medan. This type of research is classified as expost facto where the analysis uses simple correlation and regression. The population is 430 people while the selected sample is 198 students using stratified proportional random sampling technique. The data of learning habit was obtained by compiling the questionnaire having reliability of 0.890., While the learning result data was taken from the value of the raport then standardized using Z score method. The strength of the relationship between learning habits of student learning outcomes mathematics known from the value of correlation coefficient (r2) of 0.51 while the value of coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.26. It turns out that the calculation shows that thitung ≥ ttable or 8.30 ≥ 2.57. Thus it can be stated that the regression equation model is stated significant.Keywords: Learning Habits, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The background of this study is to find out the role of BK teachers in increasing the motivation to learn students of natural disaster victims in MTsN Karo District. Karo, this was known through observation of interviews with BK teachers. Students who are victims of natural disasters appear to be anxious at the time of eruption of a mountain, causing the student to not focus during the learning process. Information services can be implemented by BK teachers in helping to increase the motivation to learn students ofnatural disaster victims. Peran Guru Bimbingan Konseling Dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Korban Bencana Alam Gunung Sinabung Di Mtsn Negeri Karo Kabupaten Karo This research aims to find out how the role of BK teachers in improving student motivation to learn victims of natural disasters in MTsN Karo District. Karo This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive research approach that produces adescription in the form of written or oral words from the behavior of the participants and also research subjects that can be observed from social situations. After doing the research, it was found that the role of the BK teacher in increasing the motivation to learn students of natural disaster victims in MTsN Karo District. Abstract

This paper aims to explore the Muslim philosopher (Ibn Miskawayh) about the structure of human personality that implies the activities of Islamic counseling services. During this time, counseling practice is still based on the paradigm of western thinkers in looking at the structure of human personality. In fact, many Muslim figures such as Ibn Miskawayh have devoted their thoughts to aspects of human life. Ibn Miskawayh argues that human personality is based on three aspects: Nafs Natiqah, Nafs Al Sibaiyyah, and Nafs Al Hayawaniyyah. According to him also, the three driving forces of such behavior, has a tendency to dominate one another. Therefore, the offer proposed by Ibn Miskawayh is the emergence of the balance of the driving force of behavior, through several models of therapy and counseling services in an Islamic model.Keyword: Ibn Misakawaih, structure of Personality, Islamic models couseling/therapies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services on thecommunication skills of class X students at MAN Asahan in the 2019/2020 school year. This type of research used in this study is quantitative. The design used in this study is a quasi experimental design and uses a nonequivalent control group desaign model. The research sample consisted of 30 students from a population of 380 students. The data collection instrument in this study is the scale of communication skills. Data analysis techniques in this study used the t-test formula. Based on test results using tests it is known that there are significant differences in communication skills between the posttest conditions in the control group addressed by the coefficient t of 3.797 with α <0.05 and posttest in theexperimental group as indicated by the coefficient t of 28.454 with α <0.05. Judging from the average shows that the communication skills of students in the post-test conditions in the experimental group increased when compared with the post-test conditions in the control group. It can be concluded that the group guidance service has a significant influence on improving the communication skills of class X MAN Asahan in the 2019/2020 school year.Kewords: group guidance services on the communication skills
