Al-Irsyad: The Counseling and Education Journal is scientific journal in education and counseling guidance that managed by The Bimbingan Konseling Islam Majors of Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Faculty of UIN Sumatera Utara Medan. Al-Irsyad presents topics about development of counseling guidance profession as a teacher based on the four competence of a teacher. They are pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. Besides that, Al-Irsyad is also emphasize to the integration of islamic values. Al-Irsyad is published two times in a year. There are January-June edition and July-December edition. The first edition of Al-Irsyad was Vol.1, No.1, January-June Edition on 2012, but was not yet have p-ISSN and e-ISSN. Then, in Vol.5, No. 1, January-June Edition on 2015 was published in print with p-ISSN: 2088-8341. Further, Vol. 10, No.1, January-June 2020 Edition on 2020 edition publish OJS with e-ISSN: 2686-2859.

Abstract

This study aims to get a clear picture of the implementation of group guidance services, interpersonal communication of students, the implementation of group guidance services can improve student interpersonal communication at MAL UIN SU Medan. As for the informants in this study were the supervisors and students of MAL UIN SU Medan. This type of research is qualitative research that is research that seeks to find facts and reduce research findings. The results of the study can be stated that the implementation of group guidance services at MAL UIN SU Medan was carried out outside of school hours and carried out in the counseling and counseling room, meaning that students carry out group guidance services during out-of-school hours so as not to interfere with student learning activities in the classroom. This is done because there are no hours for guidance and counseling. Interpersonal communication of students at MAL UIN SU Medan as a whole is quite good. This is evidenced by students who have good communication with friends and teachers. And the school, especially the supervising teacher, strives to improve students' interpersonal communication. The implementation of group guidance services in improving student interpersonal communication is well implemented. The meaning of implementing group guidance services can improve student interpersonal communication. After giving group guidance services to students, students are increasingly enthusiastic about being good with fellow peers and communicating well with teachers when in class.Keywords: Efforts of Bk Teachers in Improving Student Interpersonal Communication at MAL UIN SU Medan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about How to Understand the Principle of Confidentiality of BK Teachers, How to Implement the Principle of Confidentiality in Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan, What Factors Support and Inhibit Implementation of the Principle of Confidentiality in Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan. This research uses qualitative research design with case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews, and documents. Data analysis using Milles and Huberman data analysis model are: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. And check the validity of data in this study using the criteria of creadibility confidence that is: Longer attachment, diligence observations in research, and triangulation testing. The findings show that: (1) An understanding of the principle of secrecy of BK Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan teachers, including: (a) Maintaining trust and maintaining confidentiality. (b) Commit to ensuring the confidentiality of all the problems faced by the students. (2) Application of the principle of confidentiality in Madrasat Madanatussalam Sei Rotan Madrasah, it can be seen that the application of the principle of confidentiality in madrasas includes: (a) Asking for willingness, (b) Providing direction, (c) Making approaches, (d) Making agreements, (e) Motivating, (f) Providing solutions. (3) Factors that support the application of secrecy principles in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Madinatussalam Sei Rotan, including cooperation between the teachers and students, make arrangements, secret custody. While the inhibiting factors of application of the principle of secrecy include: (a) Lack of infrastructure supporting the activities of BK.Keywords: Secrecy Principle

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many problems students have in terms of self-concept. This study aims to describe students' self-concept. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study population was Class XI and XII Students of Padang 8 Public High School, totaling 464 people. The sample amounted to 215 people, who were selected by the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is scale. The results of the validity and reliability test of the self-concept instrument state that the research instrument is valid and reliable. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The findings of this study show that on average students' self-concept images are in the positive category. The implications of the results of the study can be used as input to make a program of guidance and counseling services.Keywords: Self Concept, Implication of Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of Islamic Guidance and Counseling study programs at the faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training in UIN North Sumatra, Medan. The research method used is qualitative research methods, namely methods that are designed in such a way as to take and find data naturally. The subjects of this study were steakholders of the BKI FITK UIN North Sumatra study program. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by data presentation techniques, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN North Sumatra Medan conducts management management of study programs well, where the study program BKI FITK UIN North Sumatra optimizes the empowerment of existing resources to achieve the study program objectives vision, mission of study program. In addition, the vision, mission and objectives of the study program are also adjusted to the vision, mission, and objectives of the Faculty and University. Strategy Management is done is to arrange the distribution of subjects well, the curriculum is prepared in accordance with the needs of the community. Where of the 146 total credits there were 110 credits of courses related to the skills and skills of Guidance and Counseling, while as many as 36 credits were non BK courses and adjusted to the need to support BK's success. Then the subject is taught by lecturers who have the qualifications of Guidance and Counseling in Level 2 and Strata 3. In non-curricular activities, the study program of BKI FITK UIN North Sumatra Medan also forms the Al-Irsyad study forum which aims as a forum for students to do various discussion and creation that is useful for improving students' skills and knowledge about BK.Keywords: management, BKI study programPENDAHULUANPendidikan merupakan salah satu sasaran

Abstract

This study aims to get a clear picture of improving the way students learn through group guidance services at Madrasah Aliyah UIN-SU Medan Laboratory. As for the informants in this study were tutors, students and subject teachers. This type of research is qualitative, namely research that seeks to find facts and describe the research findings. The results of the study can be stated that the implementation of the Guidance Service Group given to students is to provide knowledge and understanding of good learning methods and ways of learning that are not good. Students reflect actions and do positive learning methods. Guidance Services Groups play a role in providing students with an understanding of how to improve student learning. Guidance Services The group provided helps students understand themselves, students are able to understand actions, including the ability to improve their learning methods well. Then the researchers concluded that after BKp services were conducted, student learning methods became more effective than usual.Keywords: Learning Methods and Guidance Groups

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the BK teacher strategy in improving the learning achievement of Grade VII students of Al-Maksum Middle School. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study are BK teachers who have carried out services related to improving student learning achievement. The instruments used are interview guides that are systematically analyzed and collect data relating to research. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the learning achievement of Grade VII students of Al-Maksum Middle School is quite good, there are only a few students who have low achievements. The reason is the lack of self-awareness of students to learn, and the inability of students to absorb some subjects. The BK teacher strategy in improving the learning achievement of Grade VII students of Al-Maksum Middle School is to approach students and create a pleasant school atmosphere so that it will be easier for the BK teacher to know the problems faced by students. Furthermore, identification and analysis of the needs / problems of students is then carried out, then the program is prepared in the form of RPL. Next is the implementation of services. Finally, an evaluation or evaluation is given to determine the extent to which an activity has been achieved and how the benefits have been done. The inhibiting factor is the implementation of guidance and counseling strategies in class VII of YP Middle School. Al-Maksum is the lack of time for service delivery, parents of students who do not support service activities, and students who do not have self-awareness to learn and no desire to change.Keywords: BK teacher strategy, student achievement

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to examine whether (1) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by Individualization Strategy, (2) the achievement in reading comprehension of the students with introvert learning style if they taught by Individualization strategy higher than extrovert learning style, (3) there is significant effect of Individualization Strategy and Learning Styles on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension. It was an experimental research with factorial design 2x2. The data were analyzed by using two-way ANOVA by using SPSS program. After the data had been calculated, it is found that (1) DRTA and Individualization strategies has affect students’ achievement in reading comprehension (Sig. = 0.026<0.05), students’ achievement in reading comprehension taught by Individualization strategy (76.10). (2) the achievement in reading comprehension of the students with Extrovert learning style is higher than the students with Introvert learning style (83.64>73.80) and (3) there is no interaction between teaching strategies and Learning Style if they combined on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension (Sig. = 0.658 > 0.05).Key Word: Individualization Teaching Strategies; Learning Style; Students’ Achievement

The Rector election in Islamic Higher education has made conflicts that disturb their performances. Caused of conflict are dualism leadership and resistance acts in university life. It is important for Islamic higher education to minimalize conflict in political event of rector election. Abstract

This paper aims to test a case of people with psychosis in adolescents (school age) and parenting by parents of patients. The method used in this paper uses a qualitative approach with a case study method with instrumental models. The location of this study is located in the Pematang Siantar city, North Sumatra. Researchers in this context tried to reveal the existence of interventions carried out by parents of adolescents to psychiatric disorders. This is based on the scope of family counseling material that the family (parents) has a large role in the emergence of psychiatric disorders in children caused by a homeo-statis. of family life. As a result, researchers found that the main source that causes psychiatric disorders experienced by children is caused by parenting parents in an authoritarian way and tends to lead to acts of violence, so that the space for victimization is limited and has an impact on depression to psychiatric disorders.Key words: Psyshotic disorder, parenting, and family counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services on communication ethics of class XI MA PP Daarut Thaalibiin Kota Datar 2018/2019 academic year. The method used in this study is a pre-experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design experimental design. The population in this study were 30 students. The sample of this study was 30 students. Data retrieval is done by questionnaire instrument. The results of this study are that there is the influence of group guidance services on the communication ethics of class XI MA PP Daarut Thaalibiin Kota Datar in the 2018/2019 academic year.Keywords: Group Guidance Services, Communicating Ethics
