Abstract

Land-use pattern of Gunungsitoli municipality cannot be controlled yet, where land originally designated for the Local Protection Zone or the coastal green zone has been converted to function as built-up land for housing and settlement activities. Spatial Planning Law Number 26/2007, Regional Regulation No. 12/2012, and Presidential Regulation Number 51/2016 in Article (1) has regulated spatial layout and coastline. Research type used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative-quantitative approach. This study aims to predict population growth in 2020-2039, land changes in 2010-2019 and distribution of tsunami prone areas analysis. The results of this study predict population growth in Gunungsitoli municipality for the next 20 years, 2020-2039, to 148.341 people. The biggest land use change / change analysis occurred in Gunungsitoli sub-district with a percentage of 25,38% of the total area of change in all Gunungsitoli sub-districts, and the smallest land use change’s percentage that occurred in Gunungsitoli West sub-district because this sub-district has a sloping and bumpy topography. The results of the tsunami disaster area analysis showed Gunungsitoli sub-district is the most extensive vulnerability impacted of 3.449 hectares. Subsequently followed by Gunungsitoli Idanoi sub-district, South Gunungsitoli sub-district and North Gunungsitoli sub-district.

Abstract

Soy Milk is white-yellow liquid or kind of beverage that produced by home Industry which should shown about its quality and hygienic to prevented from microba. The purpose of this research is to find out the level of Microba contamination from No-Brand Soy Milk that sold in Jaya Baru Banda Aceh. This research conducted in May 7 th – 12 th 2018 at AKAFARMA Laboratory, Banda Aceh. The sample was No-Brand Soy Milk that taken from six different places and analyzed by using Random Sampling. It was a descriptive research and using TPC as the method. The result shown that first LT TPC was 23×106 colony/ml, second E was 49×106 colony/ml, third LD was 86×106 colony/ml, forth B was 28×107 colony/ml, fifth LB was 26×106 colony/ml and the last PBC was 50×105 colony/ml, it can be conclude that the sixth-samples of Soy  Milk that sold In Jaya Baru, Banda Aceh were not eligible to SNI   tandard, No.06.8-7388-2009 that has 5×104 colony/ml as its TPC toward the Soy Milk extrac.

Abstract

Restrictions on community activities during the Covid-19 pandemic have an impact on the amount of waste a city produces. This study aims to analyze the amount of incoming waste at the Payakumbuh Regional Final Processing Site (TPA) before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, analyze the impact of the pandemic on waste sources and provide recommendations for waste management during the pandemic. Data on the amount of waste entering the TPA was obtained from measurements of waste at the weighbridge before the pandemic (February – March 2020) and during the pandemic (April – May 2020). The analysis of the impact of the pandemic on the source of the waste is based on the results of interviews with truck drivers and analysis of truck routes. The results showed a decrease in the amount of waste transported to the landfill by 11.15% during the Covid-19 pandemic. The average amount of waste before the pandemic was 237.36 tons/day, while during the pandemic is 210.90 tons/day. The decrease in the amount of waste is due to restrictions on community activities outside the home with the implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy. The implementation of PSBB policy during the pandemic caused a decrease in the amount of waste from institutional, commercial and city service facilities by 29.48-50% and an increase in domestic sources by 21.22%.

Abstract

Slum is a general impression or picture of attitudes and low behavior seen from the standard of living and middle class income. Communities that live in slums economically are generally classified as poor and low-income groups, which are often the reason for the degradation of discipline and disorder in various social order. This study aims to investigate and determine the right location for Family Hope Program (PKH) implementation so program implementation can be more targeted and targeted and able to reduce and overcome the problem of slums in Tebing Tinggi City, North Sumatra province. The method used is to use spatial analysis with a Geographic Information System (GIS) and 5 indicators data from TNP2K. These indicators are combined and modeled spatially using 3 class locations namely Inaccurate, Less Accurate and Precisely Accurate. The results of spatial analysis and modeling are the location of Inaccurate (Tebing Tinggi Kota sub-district), Less Accurate (Padang Hilir and Padang Hulu sub-district) and Precisely Accurate (Bajenis and Rambutan sub-district). The resulting spatial model was validated with satellite photos from Google Earth and photos of field visits using triangulation validation techniques

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the percentage and level of parasite infestation of gastrointestinal nematodes (NGI) in cattle based on different areas in Aceh Province. The samples in this study were cow feces taken each 3 (three) subdistricts in Gayo Lues District with 64 samples and East Aceh district with 93 samples. For sample examination and see infestation picture have been done with laboratory test by using Method of centrifuge and Mc method Master. For data analysis done with Prevalence test and formulation of Mc. Master. The results showed that based on percentage of gastrointestinal nematode attendance level in Gayo Lues District, there were 15 positive samples (23.44%), while in East Aceh of 93 samples examined there were 33 positive (35.48% ), seen a higherpercentage in East Aceh (0.05). Meanwhile, based on egg yield per gram of feces (TPGT) showed that Gayo Lues Regency is higher than East Aceh, where in Regency of  Gayo Lues from 15 positive number of eggs there were 20,661 grains (1377 grains / head), while in East Aceh from 33 positive , the number of eggs is only 23,595 grains (715 eggs / head), seen from TPGT result shows there is real difference (p 0,05).

Abstract

Out of four waste banks in the Tanimulya Village, Sahdu Waste Bank is the only proper waste bank in operation. Based on the 2019 West Bandung District’s Environmental Agency (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kebersihan) Strategic Plan, which stated the target in 2022, that it needs to reduce 10%, from the current 8% reduction of the waste generation through the solid waste management and waste bank facilites, prior to the landfill. One of the efforts that can be done is through the development of the Sahdu Waste Bank from the hamlet scale to the urban village scale by using the Waste Bank Indexing Method. Assessing the existing condition with the waste bank index, identification and compiling the recommendation towards parameters that need improvement. Based on the results of the assessment, a score of 53.2 (out of 100, and is considered as fairly good category), reveals 14 sub indicator that can be improved, which consist of 6 Sub Indicator of Management System, 6 Sub Indicator of Operational System, and 2 Sub Indicator of Waste Bank Facility. The value of the Sahdu Waste Bank can be increased to 88.3 (out of 100, and is considered as very good), which generates the reduction of 266.67% of waste, equal to 4 ton/month from 150 kg/month. That would make Sahdu Waste Bank contributes 1.6% from the reduction target of 10% for the West Bandung District waste.

Abstract

Tanning is the process that converts animal hides and skin into stable and imputrescible products called leather. The production processes in a tanning use chromium sulfat. Chrome metal is a heavy metal that is toxic, so the waste water from the leather tanning process will pollute the environment if it is not treated. In this research, wastewater treatment is used by electrocoagulation method to determine the effect of operating on the chromium removal to obtain optimal conditions. In this study, electrocoagulation experiments were using aluminum electrodes. Electrocoagulation process was carried out in 9 variations with parameters pH, electrical current and time where pH was set at pH 7. Electrical current done on 0.5 A, 1 A, and 1.5 A. Time done in 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours. The experiment results were analyzed by comparing the concentration before processing and concentration after processing to obtain efficiency. Based on the experimental result on 9 variations, the variation that has the highest efficiency is at electrical current 1.5 Ampere and time 3 hours. This variation can remove 78.95 % chrome concentration from 245.1 mg/L to 51.6 mg/L.

Abstract

The production of patchouli oil refining the largest waste in Indonesia. But still has high nutrient content and can be used as liquid organic fertilizer. To increase the efficiency of the formation of liquid fertilizer from patchouli waste requires the role of EM4 bioactivator and chicken manure. The study aims to determine the production of liquid organic fertilizer froom potchouli waste with EM4 bioactivator and the addition of chicken manure as well as to analyze the effect of fermentation time and EM4 solution to obtain maximum N, P, K content. The results showed that there were some effect of fermentation time and variable of EM4 on NPK content. The maximum solution of N in the variable 8% EM4 solution with fermrntation time of 3 days was 0.34%. The maximum P  in the variable of 4% EM4 solution with a fermentation time of 9 days was 0.10%. The maximum K in the variable of  2 and 4% EM4 solution with a fermentation time of 5 days were 0.27%.

Abstract

Logistics supply when emergency of disaster comes up that have some problems to be considered  much as setting up of emergency operations center irregularly, less coordination between sectors, the data of victims is not properly recorded, and the logistics supply not appropriate with the need of victims. These problems occured because there are no information connected between sectors related to victim data, and the aid that has been fulfilled is very urgent logistics at the disaster site. Information system for distribution and logistics supplies during disaster response is needed to realize effective and efficient distribution. This information system design  includes planning, system analysis, collecting data, system design, system testing and implementation. This  research was conducted at BPPD office in Pidie Jaya Regency. This information distribution and logistics inventory system that is designed will simplify and accelerate the process of recording in distribution and logistics supply. The results of this system can be introduced to society, so that when disaster occurs the community will receive information quickly and accurately related to distribution and logistics supply

Abstract

Transportation is a sector that contributes significantly to CO2 gas emissions and has the potential to continue to increase along with the addition of fossil fuel vehicles. Indonesia has plans to switch to electric vehicles as an alternative to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the transportation sector. The battery is an important component of an electric vehicle, and there are several alternative technologies that can be used. This paper  simulates the selection of a suitable battery from various type of batteries, including Lead-acid (PbA), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Lithium-ion (Li-ion). The selection is made using the weighted objective method by presenting 5 criteria: energy density; emissions generated for battery production; energy factor of the manufacturing process; availability of critical raw materials required for cathodes and anodes; and availability of recycling facilities. Supporting data to determine the magnitude of each criterion is obtained from literature reviews. The analysis and comparison was carried out by giving weight to the assessment based on the data obtained. The results of calculations carried out in the paper show that the Lead-acid battery is a viable option for use at current time.However, if Indonesia already has NiMH and Li-ion battery recycling facilities, or is capable of producing Lithium-ion batteries, then the criteria and calculation factors can be added and improved.
