Abstract

A study has been conducted to test the use of electric fields to lower blood sugar levels on rats with type II Diabetes Mellitus. This study uses male rats (Rattus novergicus), aged 8-12 weeks weighing 150-200 grams, with a total of 31 rats. Therapy was conducted by putting rats in a chamber that emits an electric field every day for 1 hour for 28 days. To search for the optimum frequency of the treatment, frequency variations of 15, 30, 60, and 120 kHz were given. The electrical charge distribution of the air in the room was then measured, whereas mice blood sugar levels were also measured to reveal the effect of the treatment on cell tolerance to sugar, and to come up with the measurement of insulin levels at the end of the treatment. The results of measurements of the electrical charges in the air were very significant generally showing that the treatment with a frequency of 15 to 120 KHz for 4 weeks in the experimental animals could lower their blood sugar (fasting period), but the success rate significantly occurred at a frequency of 15 kHz. The decrease in fasting blood sugar levels after the treatment was probably due to the influence of the treatment (the influence of an electric field) that improved the regulation of insulin receptors. Improvements in the regulation of insulin receptor activities with high gluconeogenesis may be the cause of a decrease in fasting blood sugar levels that is not accompanied by improved cell tolerance to sugar. Keywords: Electric Field, blood sugar levels, insulin levels

The land and building, Rural and Urban Sector tax policies in DKI Jakarta, Bekasi,Depok different in terms of tax rates, determination the amount of NJOPTKP, as well as the amountof NJOP. The amount of NJOP in Jakarta is higher and more diverse than the amount of NJOP inDepok and Bekasi. Determination the amount of NJOP in Jakarta also set more frequently, whichevery year than in the city of Depok and Bekasi. This is because the value of land and buildings inJakarta faster rise than in Depok and Bekasi. Keywords: Tax on Land and Building, Rural and Urban Sector, Local Tax.

The model used in this study is the modified IS Success Model of DeLone and McLean. The study uses primary data and data collection techniques using questionaires distributed to employee of Finance Directorate of University of Indonesia. This study used SEM approach, while analysis used LISREL software. The results showed that system quality and information quality significantly affects the individual performance while the service quality does not affect individual performance. On the other hand, the study finds that individual performance significantly affects user satisfaction.Keyword; system quality, information quality, service quality, user satisfaction, individual performance

Abstract

ABSTRACT – Increasing the efficiency of hospital management sustainability is an ongoing financialmanagement guidelines that absolutely must be adopted by any hospital. This study aims at obtaininginformation about the components that contribute to the fluctuations of the current ratio Hospital X between2000, 2001 and 2002. This study used quantitative and qualitative approaches, with the primary data source(in-depth interviews to the relevant parties ie Hospital Director, Chief Financial Officer and Vice DirectorAdiministrasi Finance) and the secondary data source include financial statements. The research shows thatRS X’s current ratio are still in a normal range except in the year of 2001 was below the standard (1.42). Themore sensitive ratio, Acid Test Ratio, is still in normal range in the year of 2000, but in the year of 2001, and2002, the ratios are in the lowest bend of the normal range. Cash Ratios for many years are also in the lowestbend except for the year of 2000, Receivable turn over ratios for the last three years go smaller showing thatreceivables took longer time to collect, the normal range for receivable turn over is 14 up to 20 days. Inventoryturn over ratios are below the standard range (24-32 times per year), the average inventory held in warehouseAnalisis Rasio Lancar Rumah Sakit XMarsdeniaVolume 1, Nomor 2, pp 61-8362is between 16 up to 21 days. The value of current ratio is got from comparison between current assets andcurrent liabilities. Nominally, RS X’s current ratio in 2002 is in the state bend, namely, 1.5 – 2.00, in the realterm, the ratio shows on contradictory pictures. The reasons are a) Guaranteed Receivables are valued abovethe normal practice (overstated) b) overstated of Non Guaranteed receivables/Personal Receivables.Based on this research, the author thinks that there are some rooms for RS X’s management to fittheir current ratio problem. There are several suggestions that the management can adopt, namely controllingcash outflow and cash inflow, reevaluating receivables policy, reforming the supply of inventories (medicine)procedures. Keywords: Current ratio, cash, patient receivables, inventory, current liabilities.

Abstract

Knowledge of traditional medicinal plants among teenagers are quite low, that caused by the information is very limited as well as the difficulty of obtaining real-life examples of traditional medicinal plants. Those inspired us to cooperate with SMAN 1 Pondidaha District Konawe (Sulawesi Tenggara) in an effort to provide solutions to these problems. SMAN 1 Pondidaha has vacant land large enough. Through IbM program (Ipteks bagi Masyarakat, science and technology for the People) Ministry or Research and Technology and Higher Education, we made thematic landscape in SMAN 1 Pondidaha locations using traditional medicinal plants as fillers garden or park. The method was conducted on the survey and measurement, search species of plants data that suitable with the design, preparation  of location and soil for planting of medicinal plants, labeling and maintenance. The results showed there are 6 types of medicinal plants are required for the design, namely 1) medicinal plants such as jarak (Jatropha curcas), jarak merah (J. gossypifolia), jarak tintir (J. multifida) and bougainvillea (Bougenvillea spectabilis), 2) medicinal plants and aesthetics, for example kembang sepatu (Hisbiscus rosasinensis), kembang nusa endah (Mussaenda philippia), tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus), 3) Barrier crops include gandaruso (Justisia gandarusso), Ashoka (Saraca asoca), teh-tehan (Duranti erecta), kroton (Codiacum variegatum), mangkokan (Notophanax scutellarium), 4) Vertical garden Plants  include lavender (Lavendula angustifolia), selasih (Ocium sp.), pancawarna (Hydrongea macrophylla), cabe hias (Solanum pseudo-capsicum), 5) Shade plants, for example pule (Alstonia scholaris), ketapang (Terminalia catappa), kelapa (Cocus nucifera), kamboja (Plumeria sp.), beringin (Ficus benjamina) and 6) Cover crops such as bunga kriminil (Althenantera amoena), rumput gajah (Pennisetum purpureum), rumput jepang (Zoysia japonica). Abstract

Iodine is essential nutrients for human body. It is needed by thyroid gland to produce thyroxine hormone. Human body cannot produce iodine by itself. There are some sources of iodine in food such as seafood, milk, egg, fruit and vegetable that can be consumed to fulfill the daily needs. Table salt is one of iodine’s source that routinely consumed, based on SNI No. 3556:2010, it has to be fortified by potassium iodate of 30-80 ppm. Lack of iodine intake will lead a disorder called Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) which generally manifested as mumps. In this research, the analysis of iodate content in table salt was done by formation of blue I2-starch complex. The several optimum conditions showed for this measurement such as maximum wavelength, type and concentration of acid, and complex stability time. Based on commercial table salt sample analysis, showed that only 50% of our sample contain suitable amount of iodine while the others contains lower or almost no iodine. Keyword; table salt, iodine, iodate, I2-starch complex
