Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of non-civil servant religious counselors in Central Sumba Regency in applying communication techniques. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data source in this study is the head of the KUA and Islamic religious counselors and fostered citizens. Data collection techniques are done by observation, interview and document analysis techniques. The results of the study stated that (1) the understanding of religious instructors about good communication techniques was not yet maximal (2) the ability of religious instructors to implement informative communication techniques was already good (3) the ability of religious instructors to implement persuasive communication techniques was quite good (4) the ability of religious instructors in applying coercive communication techniques is not optimal.

Abstract

Fenomena bahasa yang menarik dalam konteks kekinian adalah munculnya bahasa alay pada penulisan kalimat SMS atau jejaring sosial seperti facebook. Keberadaan bahasa alay oleh para remaja di dunia maya (internet), seperti facebook dalam bentuk tulisan, karena karakter bahasa alay adalah menggabungkan berbagai karakter, angka alfabet, singkatan-singkatan serta penggunaan huruf kapital yang tidak beraturan. Bahasa ini dianggap sebagai media berekspresi yang khas dalam berkomunikasi di dunia maya (internet). Selanjutnya, bagaimanakah penggunaan bahasa alay di ruang publik berupa facebook. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa alay para remaja Pamekasan di facebook dalam konteks penggunaan singkatan, kata baru, dan kosa kata asing. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif karena data yang terkumpul berasal dari data kualitatif berupa data verbal bukan angka, yakni tindak tutur remaja pengguna facebook yang menulis status dan komentar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa alay remaja Pamekasan di facebook pada penggunaan tindak tutur representatif cukup banyak, yaitu pada status atau komentar yang ditulis pada dinding facebook. Fungsi tindak tutur ini memberitahukan kepada orang lain mengenai sesuatu yang memiliki kesesuaian antara tuturan yang disampaikan dengan kenyataan yang terletak pada pihak penutur. Penggunaan bahasa alay remaja Pamekasan di facebook pada penggunaan tindak tutur direktif dapat dilihat pada status atau komentar yang ditulis dalam akun facebook, yaitu ketika tuturan pada akun facebook mengandung hal yang bersifat keinginan pihak penutur kepada orang lain untuk melakukan sesuatu. Penggunaan bahasa alay remaja Pamekasan pada penggunaan tindak tutur ekpresif dapat dilihat ketikan status atau komentar penutur di dinding facebook mengandung pernyataan yang menggambarkan apa yang penutur rasakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian multiyears yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis multikultural sebagai upaya preventif konflik sosial. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation). Di tahun pertama, pengambangan dilakukan sampaitahapan development. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) dan Universitas Mahasaraswati (Unmas) Denpasar dengan sampel 10 dosen (8 dosen Undiksha dan 2 dosen Unmas). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dua jenis instrumen, yaitu instrumen untuk data kualitatif yang dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi serta instrumen untuk data kuantitatif yang dikumpulkan dengan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Analisis kebutuhan materi pembelajaran menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan materi pembelajaran berbasis multikultural sebagai upaya preventif konflik sosial, dan (2) hasil uji ahli menunjukkan meteri pembelajaran valid dan memperoleh tanggapan sangat baik dari dosen (3,64) dan sangat baik dari mahasiswa (3,60).

Abstract

This research aimed to describe (1) the use of Indonesian language as the first language in terms of sentence based on the content and structure of children in the Balinese ethnic families and (2) the constraints faced by the Balinese ethnic families in Banjar Bernasi in using the Indonesian language as the first language of their children. The subject of this research was the Balinese family in Banjar Bernasi who used the Indonesian language as the first language of their children. The object of this research was the use of Indonesian language as the first language of children in the Balinese family ethnic in Banjar Bernasi and the constraints faced by the family in Banjar Bernasi in using the Indonesian language as the first language of their children. The data collection methods used were observation method, interview, and recording. There were several steps in analyzing the data, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that (1) the use of Indonesian language as the first language of children in the Balinese ethnic families in Banjar Bernasi in terms of sentence based on the content and structure could be declared that children on the primary school were able to use the sentence well. (2) There was no constraint felt by parents in teaching the Indonesian language to their children. That was because the children had already been using the Indonesian language as a mother language start from the baby. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that children were able to use the Indonesian language well in terms of sentences based on the content and structure. Therefore, it is suggested to parents to always teach their children to speak well so that children are able to communicate by using the Indonesian language effectively.

Abstract

This study focused on investigating the effect of puppets as a teaching media on students’ speaking competency. It was an experimental research administering post-test only control group design. The population was the eighth-grade students of SMP N 6 Singaraja. The samples were VIII B1 class as experimental group and VIII B3 as a control group. The experimental group was treated by using puppets as teaching media, whereas the control group was treated by using the conventional technique. The instruments used in this study to collect the data were the teaching scenario and post-test in the form of a speaking test. The data were then analyzed descriptively, inferentially and effect size. The result was significant. It can be seen from both group's mean score where the experimental group’s score was 93.84 while control group’s score was 90.22 the value of tob (t observed) was 2.111 and it was higher than tcv (t critical value) that was 1.669 (a=0.5). It indicates that there is a significant effect on students’ speaking competency who were taught by puppet and those who were taught by conventional technique.

Abstract

The study was conducted in order to figure out and analyze the correlation coefficient between (1) work motivation and the teachers’ performances at SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem; (2) teachers’ professional competencies and the teachers’ performances at SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem; (3) work morale and the teachers’ performances at  SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem; (4) work motivation, teachers’ professional competencies, and work morale toward the teachers’ performances at SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem.The study utilized an ex-post facto design, while the data were collected by using questionnaires ofachieving motivation, teachers’ professional competencies, and work morale, as well as the teachers’ performances. The data were analyzed by multiple regressions and correlation test. The population of the study is 43 teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Bebandem. Based on the findings that the variables of work motivation, teachers’ professional competencies, as well as work morale could become predictors to improve the teachers’ performances.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of socioeconomic factors (age, age, and income) and factors related to location (cost and distance) of millennial tourists. This type of research is explanations and field surveys with a sample non-probability technique of 150 respondents. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression. The results showed that the cost of travel, age of income and distance had a positive and significant effect on the number of millennial tourists visiting the attractions of the Sungai Koran Park, Sebangau National Park. The implication of this study is the development of the tourism infrastructure of the Koran River as one of the national tourism destinations to the Province of Central Kalimantan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to (1) describe the language variations in sociolinguistic interaction of society in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency, (2) to describe the language choice in sociolinguistic interaction of society in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency, and (3) to describe the factors that affect language variations and language choices in sociolinguistic interaction of society  in Busungbiu district Buleleng Regency. Data were collected using observation and interview. The data are analyzed through reduction, presentation and data collection. The location of this research is 4 of 15 villages in Busungbiu sub-district that is Sepang Village, Pelapuan, Kekeran, and Busungbiu. The result of this research shows that (1) There are language variations in terms of speakers of dialect and sociolek and language variations in terms of formality. (2) There is a code switching of the Bali language code into the Indonesia language, code switching the Indonesia language code into Bali language, code switching the Java language code into the Indonesia language. The code mixing into and code mixing exit. (3) Factors that influence is the language variation that is area of the speaker's and social origin. Factors that influence is the language choice that is changing speech situations, the presence of a third person, awakens a sense of humor, to a mere prestige, using more popular terms. Thus it can be concluded that the Bali language experiencing critical condition and bali language start to weaken. This can be proved by the existence of citizens who notabene native Bali language speakers can code switch and code mixed, so the use of Bali language began to shift little by little. Based on this, the need for guidance, training and coaching, especially the Bali language in Busungbiu district.

Abstract

This research aims at investigating: (1) the direct  effect of career expectation as teacher (X3) on teaching professionalism attitude (X4), (2) the direct effect of academic self-concept (X1) on teaching professionalism attitude (X4), (3) the direct effect of teaching interest (X2) on teaching professionalism attitude (X4), (4) the direct effect of academic self-concept (X1) on career expectation as teacher (X3), (5) the direct effect of teaching interest (X2) on career expectation as teacher (X3), (6) the indirect effect of academic self -concept (X1) on teaching professionalism attitude (X4), (7) the indirect effect of teaching interest (X2) on teaching professionalism attitude (X4). The population of the research was 251 students of PGSD Undiksha. It was an ex-post factor research. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is a direct effect of 0.2971 from X3 on X4, (2) there is a direct effect of 0.2724 from X1 on X4, (3) there is a direct effect of 0.1706 from X2 on X4, (4) there is a direct effect of 0.3709 from X1 on X3, (5) there is a direct effect of 0.2084 from X2 on X3, (6) there is an indirect effect of 0.2496 from X1 on X4, (7) there is an indirect effect of 0.2914 from X2 on X4.

Abstract

Becak wisata Kota Probolinggo telah menunjukan peran strategisnya dalam pelayanan wisatawan kapal pesiar. Kualitas pelayanan becak wisata menjadi bagian penting peningkatan promosi dan pengembangan pariwisata di Kota Probolinggo. Beberapa permasalahan yang muncul, yaitu rendahnya kualitas pelayanan pengemudi becak wisata yang masih belum menjadi sebuah produk wisata menarik, dan ketidakkonsistenan fungsi kelembagaan asosiasi sebagai fasilitator peningkatan kualitas pelayanan wisatawan kepada para anggotanya. Tujuannya untuk meningkatkan pelayanan becak wisata sebagai moda transportasi unggulan serta merevitalisasi fungsi kelembagaan Asosiasi Becak Bestari dalam peningkatan kualitas pelayanan wisatawan. Metode yang dipergunakan yaitu menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Menghasilkan beberapa aspek, yaitu rumusan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) khusus pelayanan becak wisata untuk wisatawan kapal pesiar, serta menyusun fungsi sistem kelembagaan Becak Bestari Kota Probolinggo. Kesimpulan bahwa SOP khusus pelayanan wisatawan kapal pesiar menjadi panduan pelayanan dasar kepada wisatawan, serta system kelembagaan baru mampu mengadopsi perkembangan kebutuhan terhadap pelayanan kepada wisatawan.
