Abstract

Salah satu aspek pemasaran yang perlu diperhatikan dalam upaya meningkatkan arus barang dari produsen ke konsumen adalah saluran pemasaran. Saluran pemasaran juga menentukan marjin keuntungan yang diterima oleh para petani, semakin panjang alur pemasaran semakin banyak lembaga pemasaran yang menikmati marjin keuntungan dari petani dan konsumen, oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis marjin pemasaran kopi di desa Kopidil. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei dan wawancara langsung pada 63 petani responden dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian Saluran pemasaran kopi di Desa Kopidil diketahui bahwa terdapat 3 saluran pemasaran kopi yang dilakukan yaitu : Saluran I : Petani– konsumen, Saluran II : Petani – Pedagang Pengumpul – Konsumen dan Saluran III : Petani– Pedagang Pengumpul – Pedagang Pengecer – Konsumen dan Marjin pemasaran kopi di Desa Kopidil untuk Saluran Pemasaran II adalah Rp. 95.636,36 sedangkan pada saluran pemasaran III marjin pemasarannya adalah Rp. 396.000. Dengan demikian terdapat selisih marjin pada saluran pemasaran II dengan marjin pada saluran pemasaran III sebesar Rp. 300.363,64/kg.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of freshwater ornamental fish consumers, determine the decision-making process of freshwater ornamental fish consumers, and determine the correlation between consumer behavior and purchasing decisions of freshwater ornamental fish in Bogor. The research held from October to November 2021 at three ornamental fish stores in Bogor (Terang Aquarium, Laladon Ornamental Fish Exchange, Bogor Ornamental Fish Marketing Depot). 50 respondents chosen by accidental sampling technique. The results showed that the consumer characteristics of freshwater ornamental fish varied which were known from the factors of gender, age, education, profession, family of responsibility, monthly income, monthly expenses for freshwater ornamental fish and when they start to buy/keep freshwater ornamental fish. Consumer’s considerations in buying/maintaining freshwater ornamental fish are in terms of how to care, price, ornamental fish’s behavior, size, color, shape, type of ornamental fish and where to buy. The results of the Spearman Rank Correlation analysis show that the cultural variable (X1) has a weak but significant correlation with the purchase decision (Y). The social variable (X2) has a very weak and insignificant correlation. The personal variable (X3) has a weak but significant correlation and the psychological variable (X4) has a strong and significant correlation with a correlation coefficient value is 0.642 and significant value less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine community perceptions about the use and function of the yard to support food diversification in Lendola Village, Teluk Mutiara District. This research was conducted from April to August 2020 in Lendola Village, Teluk Mutiara sub-district.The sample was determined deliberately for the sake of research needs and based on several criteria, namely having a yard area ≥ 100 m2 planted with various plants, length of stay ≥ 3 years, age ≥ 30 years and female. There are two main variables observed, namely the characteristics of respondents based on the level of education, the community's understanding of the benefits and functions of the yard. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively and presented in tables and figures. The results showed that most respondents only graduated from elementary school (SD). But in understanding the benefits and functions of the yard, in general most of the people have understood it well. The community has benefited from the yard, and also 94.87% of the community understands the benefits of the yard as a source of family nutrition. However, the community needs counseling related to the importance of the benefits of the yard to support food diversification. Even so, 89.74% of the people understand the function of the yard as a source of family food to support food diversification in fulfilling family nutrition. In addition, the community also understands the function of the yard as a source of beauty, a tool for social interaction with neighbors, even as a source of family income.

Abstract

In general, the farming production process runs with the requirements needed by plants, these requirements consist of land, labor, and production facilities. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires and recording. Purposive Village Determination in Alimebung Village, Alor Tengah Utara District, Regency is one of the villages that produce mustard greens. Determination of the sample is done by using a saturated sample with a sample of 55 people. Factor analysis using t test and F test. The results of the analysis show that: Variable area of ​​land has a positive and significant effect on production, variable labor has a positive and not significant effect on production, variable capital has a positive and significant effect on production, variable management management positive and insignificant effect on production.

Abstract

Most of the women work in the informal sector, especially in the agricultural sector (61.80%), as well as the male workers (53.71%). This shows the high contibution and participation of women in agricultural activities.This study aimed to analyze the influence of female workers on the technical efficiency of lowland rice farming and to analyze the factors that influence it. This study used Translog Stochastic Frontier production function and was estimated using the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method. The results showed that lowland rice farming, both with male-headed and female-headed household, was not technically efficient (0.617 and 0.598) with significantly different efficiency between male-headed household and female-headed household. The Ministry of Agriculture is advised to increase the intensity of agricultural extension to farmers related to rice farming techniques to further improve rice farming efficiency.Keywords: Female labor, Rice farming efficiency, Translog stochastic frontier

Abstract

Cattle farming has been considered necessary in community life. The marketing of cattle in Dempo Barat Village, Pasean District, Pamekasan Regency is still mostly done through mediators, which means the price obtained by farmers is not optimal. The aim of this research is to analyze the market structure of Madura Cattle in West Dempo Village. The method of analysis in this research is descriptive and quantitative. The market structure is analyzed by explaining the number of market participants, barriers to market entry, and market information. The market structure is analyzed using a market concentration approach by measuring market share, HHI (Hirschman Herfindahl Index), and CR4 (Concentration Ratio for the Biggest Four). Based on the research results, the market structure of Madura Cattle in West Dempo Village leads to an oligopoly market with loose concentration. Farmers are advised to sell cattle directly to traders in the market to increase revenue. To help farmers get better deals, the government needs to make rules about how marketing institutions work.

Abstract

Indonesia has the potential to become a major exporter of cocoa in the world as well as to meet the needs of the domestic cocoa industry. However, the lack of availability of raw materials (cocoa beans) causes the processing industry to import cocoa beans from other countries. Indonesia has even been included in the five largest cocoa importing countries in the world. This raises questions about the sustainability of cocoa production in Indonesia. This research has two objectives. First, predicting the sustainability of cocoa production in Indonesia. Second, identify strategies or efforts that need to be done so that cocoa production in Indonesia can achieve a better level of sustainability. The first objective of the research was achieved by using quantitative methods, namely by analyzing trends in secondary data (from FAOSTAT) related to cocoa production, planted area, and cocoa productivity as well as cocoa exports and imports. The second objective of the research is achieved by reviewing the literature, especially reviewing the results of empirical research (and various publications by cocoa-related institutions) to identify potential strategies in order to improve the sustainability of Indonesian cocoa production. The results showed that productivity problems have a high level of urgency to be overcome. If not addressed, there is a possibility that Indonesia will become a net cocoa importer in the future (imports are greater than exports). Strategies to increase the sustainability of Indonesian cocoa production need to focus on increasing productivity through the use of superior cocoa seeds, focus on specific support for farmers' livelihoods, focus on improving the supporting environmental instruments that are still lacking (such as access to finance and inputs, facilities and infrastructure) rural areas, capacity building of farmer organizations, and extension services) and focus on the existence of strong institutions to ensure the functioning of partnerships between farmers/farmers' organizations and other parties.

Abstract

Tanjung Binga is the largest salted fish producing area in Belitung Regency. The abundance of fish production in this area allows fishermen to produce various types of processed fish to extend the shelf life of their catch, especially for products exported outside the island. One of the mainstay processed products of fishermen is salted fish. However, currently the problem in processing salted fish occurs in the drying process which is still carried out in open spaces with traditional drying methods using sunlight. So that during the rainy season, the drying process can be hampered, which will affect the quality of the salted fish products produced. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the feasibility of processing salted fish using a portable solar cell dryer. The methodology used is to evaluate the financial feasibility and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the salted fish product had the eligibility criteria with a PBP value of 0.48 years; NPV of Rp 3,268,039,778; B/C ratio of 1.37; and an IRR of 208.3% under normal conditions. In scenario 1, this effort is still considered in the feasible criteria. In scenario 2 (raw materials increase, total production decreases, interest rates increase), then the business is no longer feasible. Thus the salted fish processing business using a drying machine which is intended for fishermen and salted fish business actors deserves to be continued.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of avocado seed agribusiness farming and develop a strategy for developing avocado seed agribusiness in Sukahati Village, Cibinong District, Bogor Regency. Respondents for farming analysis are 20 and were selected using simple random sampling. The selection of respondents for strategy formulation used purposively, namely 13 experts. The analysis was used is descriptive analysis, farming feasibility analysis and SWOT analysis. Farming analysis on a land area of ​​3,138 m2 for 6 months shows that this business is feasible with a profit of Rp.343,841,358, - and an R/C value of 6.95. Environmental analysis through the IFE and EFE matrices obtained a weighted score of 2.87 on internal factors and 2.85 on external factors so that the position in the Internal External matrix is ​​in cell V (five) with Growth Strategy. The SWOT analysis resulted in 14 strategic steps: (1) Intensifying marketing through social media accounts with soft selling, (2) utilizing government facilities, (3) training to improve seed quality, (4) Creating demonstration plots and exhibitions to attract public interest, (5 ) Cooperation between farmers to meet consumer needs, (6) provide each other with avocado seed needs and information, (7) help each other convey information on farming techniques, (8) maximize strategic locations to capture markets, (9) Utilize training to improve institutional development, management finance, cultivation technology and marketing, (10) take advantage of government support for business development, (11) Conduct online meeting activities if time and distance are constrained, (12) Maximize the benefits of Network Culture, (13) often hold discussions on farming techniques, share market, and absorption of market information, (14) strengthen location branding and product quality by utilizing promotion media.

Abstract

Coffee drink products that have a fair trade label tend to have a higher price than non-fair trade label coffee drinks, so that some consumers perceive that coffee is an expensive product. This study aims to determine how much consumers are willing to pay for coffee drinks labeled as fair trade and the factors that influence it. This study uses primary data from an online survey of 120 respondents in North Sumatra Province who have purchased coffee drinks with a fair trade label. Data analysis used logistic regression analysis. The results show that the majority of consumers are willing to pay more for coffee drinks labeled as fair trade with an increase of 5-10% from the current product price. The factors that influence the willingness to pay for coffee drinks labeled as fair-rade are age, education, marital status and coffee quality.
