The Study Program of Islamic Economics in recent years has experienced rapid development. Various common and Islamic higher education institution, both state and private, opened the Study Program of Islamic Economics, at Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, and Ph.D Degree. This reality indicates that the Islamic Economics in Indonesia is increasingly being accepted and its existence is increasingly gaining recognition. As a relatively new field of discipline in the higher education world, the Islamic Economics must develop a framework of thought, strategic, consistent, evaluative, prospective, and contributive for scientific development and in solving socio-economic problems. On this basis, the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance (IJIEF) is present as a media of information and communication about Islamic economics and finance in Indonesia. Considering the limited similar media in Indonesia, this academic journal is expected to enrich studies and research in the field of Islamic finance and economics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the inflation rate and price of Sukuk Negara Ritel SR-008 on the level of demand of Sukuk Negara Ritel SR-008. This study uses data of market price and monthly sales volume of SR-008 during the period March 2015 to December 2017 with multiple linear regression analysis tool. The result shows that the variable of the inflation rate and price of SR-008 had an insignificantly negative effect on the level of demand for SR-008.

Abstract

This paper will discuss the Ngalak contract tradition among the coffee fruit farmer in the maqashid al-sharia perspective. This paper aims to analyze how the Ngalak contract tradition in complying with maqashid al-sharia. By using a qualitative approach, this paper will explain the social phenomena about the local wisdom in Karangpring Village, Sukorambi Sub-District, Jember Regency. By doing an observation, interview, and documentation, this study finds the Ngalak contract tradition is not complying with maqashid al-sharia. This study argues the approval of the debt and trading in the tradition is directed to the human benefit. In fact, the Ngalak contract tradition becomes the way to take profits by traders and middlemen who hurt the farmers. Islamic economics may provide two solutions, namely using a salam contract and develop the Islamic cooperative.

Abstract

The market phenomenon in Pekanbaru in the last decade is enlivened by the existence of the pop-up market. By utilizing idle land around the settlement, the sellers provide goods for daily needs. This study is a mixed research model, which uses qualitative descriptive methods and direct observation. The research shows that the pop-up market just a momentary event that occurs when there is a crowd. It can be categorized as a traditional market with basic goods and carried out on mobile. According to a business economics perspective, the pop-up market plays an important role in fostering economic development, which leads to the welfare of society. Further, the existence of the pop-up market also in accordance with the principles of Islamic business economics which give attention to the micro and small enterprises due to the target of the pop-up market in Pekanbaru is the middle and lower classes. Abstract

One of the keys to success for the survival of the company's business is a marketing strategy. At present, marketing has been recognized as a means to meet customer satisfaction. The company will prioritize everything required by consumers. More precisely, companies will prioritize consumer wants, not based on what consumer needs. Therefore, companies always concern about marketing strategies to attract as many customers as possible and increase their sales. By using a qualitative descriptive approach based on library research, this paper describes telemarketing as one of the promotional strategies in the marketing concept. This paper tries to describe telemarketing in an Islamic economic perspective, based on theory and practice.

Abstract

Ministry of Religious Affairs of Jember Regency develops a Kampung Zakat Terpadu (Integrated Zakat Village) in Pace, Jambearum Village, Sumberjambe Sub-District, Jember Regency. As the first zakat village in East Java Province, Kampung Zakat Terpadu in Jember also become a pilot village by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of East Java Province Regional Office. This paper tries to describe the model of policy formulation for the management of this Desa Zakat Terpadu through the descriptive qualitative approach. By doing interviews, observation, and documentation, this study finds the policy formulation model of Kampung Zakat Terpadu is influenced by preference and external factors. Then, the model of policy formulation for the management of Kampung Zakat Terpadu includes collection, distribution, utilization, and supervision.
