Abstract

Analisis sampel obat multikomponen dapat dilakukan dengan cara yang praktis menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis secara simultan. Sampel yang digunakan merupakan sediaan  obat sakit kepala multikomponen yang terdiri dari kafein, parasetamol, dan zat tambahan lainnya dengan preparasi yang berbeda yaitu pengenceran 80 kali dan 100 kali. Pengujian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk menentukan kadar parasetamol dan kafein pada obat multikomponen secara simultan. Sampel diukur pada dua panjang gelombang yang berbeda yakni 244 nm dan 273 nm. Kadar parasetamol dalam sampel dengan pengenceran 80 kali dan 100 kali berturut-turut sebesar 88,80 mg/100 mg dan 87,75 mg/100 mg. Sedangkan kadar kafein dalam sampel dengan pengenceran 80 kali dan 100 kali berturut-turut sebesar 9,37 mg/100 mg dan 8,26 mg/100 mg. Pengenceran larutan sampel berpengaruh terhadap kadar yang diperoleh, semakin besar pengenceran maka semakin kecil kadar yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Research on application and kinetics study of fractionation pyrolysis product from cashew nut shell as antifungal of Candida albicans has been carried out. This study aims to determine the constituent compounds, antifungal activity and chemical kinetics including order and rate constants antifungal activity C. albicans from fractional distillation results of cashew nut shell pyrolysis products. Cashew nuts were hydrolyzed and purified using a fractional distillation device. The results of the antifungal activity test C. albicans from fractional distillation results of cashew nut shell pyrolysis products showed that the inhibitory power varied from each concentration variation of 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The concentration of 100% was the highest inhibitory characterized by the formation of a clear zone of 18.23 mm which indicates that the inhibitory force is a strong category. The clear zone that has been formed was calculated in terms of its chemical kinetics including the reaction order and the activity rate constant. The reaction order of antifungals C. albicans from the results of fractional distillation of cashew nut shell pyrolysis products is 0.15 with a constant activity rate of 8.74.

Abstract

Minyak sereh wangi adalah minyak yang dihasilkan dari penyulingan tanaman sereh wangi. Standarisasi kualitas dari minyak sereh wangi dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kromatografi gas. Penggunaan metode ini tidak langsung memberikan hasil yang baik. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi antara lain faktor lingkungan, faktor alat, dan faktor pembuatan minyak, sehingga perlu dilakukan optimasi untuk mendapatkan metode yang sesuai dan memberikan hasil yang baik. Sampel di analisis menggunakan kromatografi gas yang metodenya di adaptasi dari metode yang digunakan pada analisis GC-MS. Hasil kromatogram yang dihasilkan menunjukkan 20 puncak yang teridentifikasi dengan tiga puncak yang paling dominan. Jumlah puncak yang dihasilkan ini sesuai dengan jumlah puncak yang dihasilkan  dari hasil analisis kromatografi gas-spektroskopi massa (GC-MS). Hasil perhitungan nilai resolusi pada variasi split hanya nilai resolusi antara puncak 5 (puncak utama) dan puncak 6 yang nilai resolusinya dibawah 1,5, sedangkan untuk puncak utama yang lain nilai resolusi sudah diatas 1,5. Nilai resolusi pada variasi kenaikan suhu oven menunjukkan nilai resolusi puncak 5 dan puncak 6 pada variasi kenaikan suhu 5°C, 8°C, 10°C, dan 15°C masih di bawah 1,5 sedangkan pada variasi kenaikan suhu 2°C nilai resolusi diatas 1,5.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan perbandingan metode penentuan kadar permanganat dalam air kran secara titrimetri dan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Perbandingan ini dilakukan yang bertujuan untuk membandingkan metode titrasi dengan spektrofotmetri untuk penentuan kadar permanganat serta dapat menentukan kadar permanganat dalam air kran secara titrasi dan  spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Absorbansi sampel air kran diukur dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang maksimum 526 nm dan nilai kadar permanganat dihitung berdasarkan absorbansi data dan setara mol asam oksalat dengan kalium permanganat. Hasil penelitian uji kuantitatif hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa nilai kadar permanganat dengan metode titrasi  serbesar adalah 0,5724 mg/L dengan nilai % Recovery sebesar 93,19% sedangkan dengan metode spektrofotmetri diperoleh konsentrasi 0,1417 mg/L dengan % Recovery sebesar 88,40%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa keduanya keduanya merupakan metode yang sama baik dalam menentukan nilai permanganat.Kata kunci : Permanganat, recovery, signifikan, titrimetri

Abstract

Research on Biodegradable Plastic Characterization of Cassava Wastes (manihot esculenta) Substitution of Tapioca Flour. As Biodegradable Plastics Base Material. This study aims to determine the ratio of cassava starch to tapioca starch which produces the best biodegradable plastic which is then used for testing the physical and mechanical properties of biodegradable plastic film using 5% acetic acid. Comparison of cassava starch with tapioca flour used is 1 : 1; 1 : 1,5; 1 : 2; 1 : 2,5; 1 : 3. The best plastics are obtained by comparison of cassava starch with tapioca flour is 1 : 3. The characteristics of biodegradable plastics include physical characteristics consisting of thickness with value 0,273 mm, 0,286 mm, 0,413 mm, 0,280 mm, dan 0,510 mm. While the mechanical characteristics consist of tensile strength with value 0,22138 MPa, 2,10724 MPa, 0,78896 MPa, 3,25933 Mpa, dan 0,508 Mpa. Percent lengthening with value 42%, 32,8%, 55,6%, 20%, dan 31,6%. Based on the result of research, it can be concluded that the value of thickness, percent elongation, and tensile strength are influenced by the comparative formula used.Keywords:  Biodegradable plastic, physical properties, mechanics, cassava starch, tapioca flour

Abstract

Telah dilakukan analisa uji logam timbal (Pb) pada udara ambien yang mengacu pada SNI 7119-4:2017 menggunakan Inductifely Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). Verifikasi metode ini untuk mengetahui nilai linieritas, presisi, akurasi, dan limit deteksi, serta mengetahui kadar timbal (Pb) dalam udara ambien. Hasil pengujian kadar logam timbal (Pb) diperoleh  hasil yaitu 0,1840 µg/Nm3. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa udara ambien aman untuk lingkungan, karena dibawah ambang batas yang ditetapkan Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia No. 41 Tahun 1999. Verifikasi metode udara ambien diperoleh hasil yang baik dengan linieritas 0,999; presisi low range 2,71% dan high range 7,32%; akurasi yang tinggi berdasarkan nilai %trueness low range 100,74% dan high range 104,95% serta limit deteksi IDL, MDL, dan LoQ yaitu 0,0001 µg/Nm3; 0,0012 µg/Nm3; dan 0,0042 µg/Nm3.

Abstract

Rice husk is one of biomass which has very high silica content (18-22%). It can be used as one of support material in the form of SiO2 / Al2O3 which if it is varied with metals, it will produce a catalyst. In this research, a Cr / SiO2 / Al2O3 catalyst was made by using wetness impregnation and dry impregnation methods to obtain the best amount of Cr metal. According to FTIR test results on SiO2 / Al2O3 material, it formed Si-OH bond (3250.2 cm-1), Al-OH (1620 cm-1), Si-O-Si (1410.6 cm-1), O-Al -O (767.8 cm-1). The results of SEM-EDX and Brunauer Emmet Teller (BET) test on variations in the concentration of 0.5 M precursor solution; 1 M; 1.5 M showed that A3 variant had the highest Cr content of 19.79% with a surface area of 68.939 m2 / gr, a pore volume of 0.06675 cc / gr and a pore radius of 19.36 Å. Based on isothermal desorption adsorption curve with nitrogen gas the A3 catalyst variant was classified into type IV with mesoporous structure based on  International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).

Abstract

Measurements of physico-acoustic properties at ultrasonic level have been studied intensively for the binary mixture of 2-Butanol + m-Xylene system as a function of the composition at 298.15K to 323.15K by 5K intervals and at atmospheric pressure. Acoustic impedance(Z), excess acoustic impedance (ZE) and molar sound velocity (R) have been evaluated from the experimental values of speeds of sound and densities. The variation of these properties with composition and temperature suggests the presence of diopole-induced dipole interactions, hydrogen bond, induced electrostatic and dispersion forces. The observed negative values of ZE over the entire composition range of the system reinforce significant interactions between unlike molecules those dominate over other types. The variation of molar sound velocity (R) of the entire mixture suggests the rarefaction of the liquid mixture under study.

Abstract

Acid mine drainage (AMD)  is mine water with a low pH derived from the oxidation of pyrite containing sulfide with water and air to produce sulfide acid (H2SO4) containing free sulfate. Acid mine drainage treatment carried out at PT Jorong Barutama Greystone Tanah Laut uses limestone at a cost of Rp.220. - per cubic meter of water. This study was conducted to determine the use of technical NaOH for changes in mine acid quality (pH. Fe and Mn). The method carried out by active handling is by adding technical NaOH into mine acid water. The results showed that neutralization of acid mine drainage using technical NaOH 10% to pH 8. was able to reduce Fe by 18.60 - 25.42% and Mn by 31.95 - 39.27%. at a cost of Rp.327. - per meter cubic of water
