Abstract

This classroom action research was motivating by the minimal percentage of class classical completeness, so that the difficulty in understanding the material or interest in learning mathematics is still low. Efforts to overcome those problems through new innovations in managing the classroom to increase interest in learning, so that it was expecting to affect better learning outcomes. Classroom management cannot be separated from the learning model applied. Window shopping learning model is one of the factors of the power of interest in learning. The study consisted of two cycles with the same stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This study shows an increase in interest in learning in the high category with details of Cycle I of 77% and Cycle of 81%. Improve student learning outcomes with criteria of more than 75%. Learning outcomes from the results of data analysis obtained 66% Cycle I and 77% Cycle II. The results showed that the window shopping learning model could increase the interest and learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 2 Batu, especially in vector material.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mathematics computation learning module using the Matlab program. Matlab is a computer program that is used to solve various math problems. This study uses a simplified Borg and Gall development model with the following stages: (1) product analysis; (2) initial product development; (3) Expert validation and product revision; (4) limited field trials and product revisions; (5) main field trials and final products. The first three stages have been carried out in the previous year and produced a valid Mathematical Computing module. In the limited field trial, it was found that the student response to the Mathematics Computing module was categorized as good with an average score of 3.86, while in the main trial an average score was 3.98 which was categorized good for the 6 aspects assessed. Based on these results it can be concluded that this module is suitable for use in learning mathematics computation. This module is expected to motivate students to learn Mathematical Computing so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

Matematika dianggap pelajaran yang abstrak dan membosankan bagi peserta didik, ini diperngaruhi juga karena kurangnya media yang mendukung kebermaknaan selama pembelajaran. Penggunaan LKPD bertema diupayakan mendukung terjadinya pembelajaran bermakna sehingga membangun pemahaman konsep matematika dan kemampuan metakognitif peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran bermakna berbantuan LKPD bertema terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika dan kemampuan metakognitif peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuanitatif tipe One Shoot Study Case yang dilakukan di SMPN 1 Weru dengan kelas VIII I sebanyak 32 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan tes. Analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitaif dengan hasil (1) Respon peserta didik terhadap penerapan pembelajaran bermakna berbantuan LKPD bertema sebesar 73,62 %. Skor tersebut tergolong kategori “baik”, (2) Adanya pengaruh penerapan meaningful learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika dengan persamaan regresinya yaitu , (3) Adanya pengaruh penerapan meaningful learning berbantuan LKPD bertema terhadap kemampuan metakognitif peserta didik dengan persamaan regresi yaitu .

Abstract

This study aims to describe the algebraic thinking profile of prospective mathematics teacher students according to the SOLO taxonomy. The research was conducted at the Nusantara University PGRI Kediri. The research subjects were students who are prospective mathematics teachers with moderate or average abilities. Subjects are selected based on course scores and information from several lecturers who are teaching the subject. Besides that, the willingness and openness of the subject is also a consideration for choosing this subject. The instrument used in this study was a matter of algebraic problems. The method used is a qualitative method which refers to the written test and interview. The questions that are done consist of tests of algebra problems for pattern components and algebra problem tests for variable components. The results showed that students of prospective mathematics teachers with moderate mathematical abilities met the indicators of algebraic thinking, namely being able to find certain terms in a given pattern but were unable to generalize the given pattern and could not understand variables as general form numbers in algebraic form.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar matematika berbasis keunggulan local Yogyakarta yang berkualitas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Keunggulan local Yogyakarta dipilih karena keuggulan localnya yang beragam. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan terdiri dari Buku Siswa dan Buku Guru. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan 4 tahapan pada model Plomp, yaitu prelimenary investigation; design; realization/construction; test, serta evaluation and revision. Penentuan kualitas bahan ajar menggunakan aspek valid, praktis, dan efektif. Data kuantitatif kevalidan dan kepraktisan diperoleh dengan teknik angket yang selanjutnya dikonversi menjadi data kualitatif. Data keefektifan diperoleh dengan teknik tes. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa kedua bahan ajar produk penelitian termasuk dalam kriteria sangat valid menurut ahli, serta sangat praktis menurut guru, serta efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikit kreatif matematis. Khusus untuk Buku Siswa, termasuk dalam kriteria praktis dengan sebanyak 56% siswa memberikan respon positif. Oleh karena itu, disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar matematika berbasis keunggulan local Yogyakarta dinyatakan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. The aim of this research was to create mathematics teaching materials base on local privilage in Yogyakarta which has good quality to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. The teaching materials consisted of Student Book and Teacher Book. The research design used 4 stages in the Plomp model, ie prelimenary investigation; design; realization/construction; test; evaluation and revision. Quality judgement of teaching materials used valid, practical, and effective aspects. Quantitative data for validity and practicality were obtained by questionnaire techniques which further transformed became qualitative data. Effectivity data was obtained by test technique. From the results of research, it was found that the two teaching materials of research products included in the very valid criteria according to expert, and very practical criteria according teacher, as well as effective to increase creative thinking skills. Especially for Student Book, included in the practical criteria with 56% of students gave positive response. It was concluded that the mathematics teaching materials base on the local privilage in Yogyakarta can used to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pembelajaran matematika disajikan di masa pandemi covid-19 dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Aplikasi apa saja dan media apa saja yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika secara daring di masa pandemic. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, terdapat perbedaan kelas yang dimaksud disini adalah kelas virtual. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII semester 2 tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ada beberapa aplikasi yang digunakan dalam menunjang pembelajaran matematika selama masa pandemic dengan pendeketan matematika realistik yaitu media sosial whatsapp group, google class room, google form, zoom meting dan google meet. Selanjutnya media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah barang-barang pribadi yang ada dirumah dan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa gunakan ketika belajar tentang lingkaran maka yang digunakan sebagai alat peraga yang memang sehari-hari siswa gunakan untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran yang bentuknya lingkaran seperti ban sepeda, hula hup, birbir gelas dan lain sebagainya. Adapula kedala dalam pembelajaran daring yaitu keterbatasan inftastuktur penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran dan juga kuota intenet yang menyedot cukup banyak kuota internet siswa dan guru. The purpose of this study is how mathematics learning is presented during the Covid-19 pandemic with a realistic mathematics approach. What applications and media are used in online mathematics learning during a pandemik. The method used in this research is classroom action research, there are differences in the class referred to here, namely the virtual class. This research was conducted on class VIII students in semester 2 of the 2019/2020 academic year. The results of this study are that there are several applications used to support mathematics learning during the pandemic with realistic mathematics approaches, namely social media WhatsApp group, google class room, google form, zoom meting and google meet. Furthermore, the learning media used are personal items at home and in everyday life students use when learning about circles, they are used as props that students use everyday to serve as learning media in a circle like bicycle tires, hula hup, beer glass and so on. There are also problems in online learning, namely the limitations of the infrastructure to support learning activities and also the internet quota which takes up quite a lot of internet quota for students and teacher

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh mutu pelajaran matematika di kelas semakin menurun, siswa semakin tidak berminat untuk belajar matematika, sehingga hasil belajar siswa pun semakin rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media komik strip pada materi aritmetika sosial ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pemberian angket, pemberian tes dan pengamatan aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media komik strip dikatakan efektif jika ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa dengan persentase rata-rata minat belajar sisw sebesar 98,4%. Selain itu, penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media komik strip juga dikatakan efektif jika ditinjau dari hasil belajar siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 70%. Keefektivan penggunaan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan media komik strip juga terlihat pada aktivitas siswa yang berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 95%

Abstract

The internal factors (characteristics) of students are assumed to have an impact on the learning process. Internal factors of students include motivation, creativity, intelligence, emotional intelligence, anxiety, etc. Most English language education students still worry about statistics course, which contains numbers and different calculation process types. However, the ‘statistics’ course is a compulsory subject that students must study, particularly at IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, which is very useful to complete final and daily assignments. Statistics is a part of mathematics that studies how to access, analyze, and interpret data. Most English language education students find numbers-related topics difficult. Anxiety in subjects related to numbers is assumed to affect students' psychological state, especially emotional states, which is an important factor that leads to achievement. This study aimed to determine the effect of mathematics anxiety and emotional quotient on English language education students' statistics learning outcomes at IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. The subjects in this study were the third-year students of English language education in 2019/2020. The technique of data analysis used was the Multiple Regression Analysis. The data were obtained from questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that mathematical anxiety and emotional quotient affect English Language Education students' statistics learning outcomes at IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. This is evidenced by the value of Fcount = 69,992 higher than Ftable = 1,607. Mathematical anxiety and emotional quotient affect the statistics learning outcomes by 74.9% (strong category). Faktor internal (karakteristik) mahasiswa diduga dapat mempengaruhi proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Ada banyak faktor internal (karakteristik) mahasiswa diantaranya motivasi, kreatifitas, kecerdasan spiritual, kecerdasan emosi, kecemasan, dan lain-lain. Sebagian besar mahasiswa prodi pendidikan bahasa inggris masih merasa cemas dengan mata kuliah statistika yang banyak mengandung angka dan berbagai macam proses penghitungan. Padahal statistika wajib dipelajari oleh setiap mahasiswa khususnya di IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro karena merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang sangat bermanfaat dalam penyelesaian penulisan tugas akhir maupun kehidupan sehari-hari. Statistika merupakan bagian dari ilmu matematika yang mempelajari tentang cara memperoleh, menganalisis, dan menginterpretasikan data. Mahasiswa menganggap mata kuliah yang berhubungan dengan angka selalu sulit. Perasaan cemas pada mata kuliah yang berhubungan dengan angka tersebut diduga dapat memengaruhi kondisi psikis mahasiswa khususnya ranah emosi, padahal emosi merupakan faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi prestasi seseorang. Dari penjelasan tersebut tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh mathematic anxiety dan emotional quotient terhadap hasil belajar statistika mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat III tahun akademik 2019/2020. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analisis Regresi Ganda. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mathematic anxiety dan emotional quotient memengaruhi hasil belajar statistika mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris IKIP PGRI BOJONEGORO. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai Fhitung = 69,992 lebih besar daripada Ftabel=1,607. Mathematic Anxiety dan emotional quotient memengaruhi hasil belajar statsitika mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris sebesar 74,9%. Pengaruh mathematic anxiety dan emotional quotient sebesar 74,9% masuk dalam kategori kuat.

Abstract

In the industrial revolution 4.0, 4C’s skills (critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication) are essential for the students. Therefore, starting from elementary school, these skills need to be cultivated. According to Permendikbud No. 23 of 2017, there are 3 activities that must carry out, namely intra-curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular. Like intra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities should be structured and systematic as intra-curricular that have teaching material. However, the reality is a lot of school don’t have a good preparation for doing co-curricular. Co-curricular is the activities of deepening the material (indicator) there are in intra-curricular, so the material presented in co-curricular activities must be the material that is difficult or that needs enrichment. One of the materials that requires enrichment is mathematics. It is because mathematics has contained difficult material and is usually feared by the students. This article will specifically discuss the needs of students in full-day schools whose co-curricular activities in Mathematics Club (MC) are an cultivate 4C’s skills. The method used exploratory research method. The result of this research found that Schools needed activities such as Mathematics Club because the schools had not implemented cocurricular activities optimally. Di era revolusi industry 4.0, keterampilan 4C (critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication) penting untuk dimiliki siswa. Oleh karena itu, mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar, kemampuan ini perlu ditumbuhkan. Sesuai Permendibud No 23 tahun 2017 terdapat 3 kegiatan yang harus dilakukan sekolah yakni intrakurikuler, kokurikuler, dan ekstrakurikuler. Layaknya kegiatan intrakurikuler, kegiatan kokurikuler seharusnya juga tersusun secara terstruktur dan sistematis disertai dengan bahan ajarnya. Namun, kenyataannya sekolah belum memiliki kesiapan yang maksimal terkait dengan perancangan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan kokurikuler tersebut. Kegiatan kokurikuler adalah kegiatan pendalaman materi (indikator) yang ada dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler, jadi materi yang disajikan dalam kegiatan kokurikuler haruslah materi yang sulit atau butuh pengayaan. Salah satu materi yang membutuhkan pengayaan adalah materi matematika. Hal ini dikarenakan matematika selalu menjadi materi yang sulit dan ditakuti siswa. Artikel ini secara spesifik akan membahas kebutuhan siswa di sekolah full day terhadap kegiatan kokurikuler mathematics club sebagai upaya menumbuhkan keterampilan 4C. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian eksploratif dimana peneliti melakukan observasi dan wawancara secara mendalam terhadap kebutuhan sekolah terhadap kegitan kokurikuler Mathematics Club. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa sekolah membutuhkan kegiatan seperti Mathematics Club karena sekolah belum menerapkan kegiatan kokurikuler secara maksimal.

Abstract

This research aims to know the profile junior high school students mathematics communication viewed from the learning style of the material relations and functions. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Research subject are 6 students of grade VIII MTs. Muhammadiyah Kajen with visual learning style, auditory learning style and kinesthetic learning style. Data collection techniques in the form of written tests and interview. Data validity using triangulation method that is by comparing the results of the written and interview. From the reseach obtained by students with visual learning style can be all indicators of the mathematical communications that is expressing daily events into mathematical language or symbols,explain an idea,situations and mathematical relations with real objects, picture,graphs and algebra,states the situation in the form of an image and compile mathematical model and solve it,states the image in plain language form (arrange story problems) and expressing arguments and reading with the understanding of written mathematical presentation and draw conclutions.Students with an auditory learning style can satisfy the indicators of expressing daily events into mathematical language or symbols, explain an idea, situations and mathematical relations with real objects, picture,graphs and algebra,states the situation in the form of image and compile mathematical model and solve it,and reading with the understanding of written mathematical presentation and draw conclutions. Students with kinesthetic learning style are able to expressing daily events into mathematical language or symbols,reading with the understanding of written mathematical presentation and draw conclutions.
