Abstract

The aims this study are to find out: (1) the influence of CORE learning approach toward the ability of comprehension concepts of students, and (2) the effect of using CORE learning approach the ability of intelectual activity in Mathematics of students. This study is pure types of experiment research which applied control group Pretest-postest. The data colection methods used thecnique test. The subjects of this research were all the first grade students of Departement of Administration office of SMK-S 5 Pembangunan Curup, Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu. Province, in the academic year 2014/2015. The sampel used in this research 27 students were in experiment class and 28 students were control class. Based on the result of analysis, it could be concluded that, (1) There are significant influnces of CORE learning toward students ability in understanding concept of mathematics. (2) There are significant influence of CORE learning approach the ability of intellectual activity in mathematics of students.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to produce Student Work Sheets based on problem solving methods in triangle material which is valid and practically. The research method is development research. This development research consist of two stages, that is preliminary stage and the formative evaluation stage. Based on product analysis results, Student Work Sheets were obtained based on valid and practical problem solving methods. Valid can be seen from the results of the expert evaluation (validator), while practically seen from the results of the trial of the small group of students in completing the given LKS. Based on data analysis of student learning outcomes obtained an average value of 75.70, which means student learning outcomes in triangle material classified as good categories, it is concluded that the Student Work Sheets that have been developed have potential effects.

Abstract

The research aims at knowing the influence of Accelerated Learning Cycle Model on Mathematic Problem Solving of Integers material. The method used in this research was quantitative approach with pre-experimental method. The research used One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research was conducted at Grade IV SDN 13 Sungaiselan, Central Bangka Regency. The techniques of data analysis were through the use of Lilliefors normality test and The Related hypothesis test. The result of the research was Accelerated Learning Cycle Model influenced Mathematic Problem Solving of Integers material.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this kel meaning is so that we can know and apply the drill method in the teaching and learning process in an effective teaching. If we want to produce something or a learning system that is good and in accordance with what is expected, it must have effective and creative learning by applying the method. While the teaching method is said to be efficient if its application in producing something expected is relatively using energy, effort, expenditure, and minimum time or the smaller the energy, effort, cost, and time spent the more efficient the method. The method in writing this article is by literature study. The results obtained are in the form of writing exposure to creative thinking skills in mathematics learning using the drill method.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the extent of the influence of Learning Habits and Numerical Ability on Mathematics Learning Achievement. the research was conducted by survey method. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of North Cikarang North SMP with a sample size of 40 students, with the sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The results of testing the hypothesis obtained conclusions as follows: 1) There is a significant influence between learning habits and numerical abilities together on mathematics learning achievement. 2) There is a significant influence between learning habits and mathematics learning achievement, and 3) There is a significant influence between numerical abilities and mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the critical thinking skills of students using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model combined with Think Talk Write strategies on cube and block material. This research was conducted at Xaverius Junior High School Lubuklinggau grade VIII of the 2016/2017 academic year in the even semester. Before carrying out the research, the test questions were first tested to see validity, reliability, differentiation and the level of difficulty of the questions. Of the 5 questions tested, all the questions are valid with a moderate reliable level. The learning process uses the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model combined with the Think Talk Write strategy. The data collection technique uses a test of 5 questions which refers to the indicators of students' critical thinking abilities. Based on the results of the study, the results of students' critical thinking skills in the cube and block material grade VIII of Xaverius Junior High School Lubuklinggau in the academic year 2016/2017 with an average score of 89.53 included in the excellent category. The percentage of each indicator can be seen that: the indicator interprets as much as 69.44%, the analyzing indicator gets a percentage of 92.59% in the very good category. The evaluation indicator shows that the percentage of 99.07% is in the very good category. In the last indicator, which is input, the percentage of 96.53% is in the excellent category.

Abstract

Learning trajectory is the flow of students' thinking resulting from Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). Learning trajectory that is produced in learning material on the surface area of cubes and beams can be used as a basis for teachers in developing models, methods and teaching materials to be used in learning. The research method used in developing learning trajectories is a design research research method that aims to develop the local instruction theory through collaboration between researchers and teachers in improving the quality of learning. The design research method consists of three stages namely pre-experiment, teaching experiment and restropective analysis. Data collection techniques used in this study are documentation, interviews and observations, and tests. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. Abstract

This research was qualitative descriptive research that aimed to describe errors made by university students in solving Mathematic problems. The subject of this research were seventh semester students of Primary School Education Study Program of STKIP Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung that were taking Mathematic Problem Solving subject with the sample of one class students taken randomly. There were 45 students in one class. Data collected through a written test, documentation, and interviews. The tests usedin this research was essay written test. Data were analyzed with the reduction of data, coding data, and conclusions. Based on the result of the research, it was found that there were 13 students made error in understanding the problem, 17 students made error in planning the problem solving, 4 students made error in implementing the plan, and 8 students made error in revising the process and the result.

Abstract

The iemed of this study was to produce learning trajectories in helping students in learning lines and angles in the context of bamboo fences. The method used in this study was design research type validation studies by testing 6 students before involving 34 studentsof class VII MTs Negeri Jambat balo Pagaralam with by using Hypothetical Learning trajectory (HLT). Then the HLT was developed and a set of activities is applied to obtain a better understanding about how to develop the students understanding of line and angle material through three stages, namely preliminary design, the design experiment, and retrospective analysis. The research conducted produced learning trajectory which consisted of a series of learning processes in three activities, namely making bamboo fence, problem solving line material, and problem solving in angle material. The result of the research showed by using the bamboo fence context students understood the concepts in line and angle learning and students can solve problems related to the material lines dan angles in everyday life.

Abstract

Learning mathematics with cultural nuances (ethnomathematics), will be more meaningful for students in understanding mathematical concepts. One of the local cultures that is a pride in Purworejo is batik. Therefore, batik can be used as a medium for learning mathematics based on ethnomathematics. In this article we will explain the learning of mathematics using cultural backgrounds, namely the pattern of numbers using Adipurwo batik media typical of Purworejo, Central Java. The purpose of this article is to find out the ethnomathematics of Adipurwo batik motifs that are used as a medium of mathematics learning in material pattern numbers. Students can determine the pattern of numbers with Adipurwo batik media. The results in this study are as follows: the geblek and clanting motifs have different arithmetic sequence patterns with 6, while the pare and clorot leaf motifs have an arithmetic sequence pattern with differences 3. With the relationship between the number pattern and Adipurwo batik, mathematics learning will become more meaningful and more interesting, so students can understand mathematics easily and pleasantly.
