Abstract

Redbrick craftsmen can be found in various regions in West Java, one of which is in the area of ​​Kampung Durung Kidul Bojong Nagreg. The skills of craftsmen making bricks in the area are passed down from generation to generation. The process of making red bricks is carried out simply by utilizing the clay in the surrounding environment which is mixed then molded and burned using husks. The results of observations and interviews identified that the understanding of the craftsmen to improve the quality and understanding of the importance of brick products by SNI standards was still lacking. Based on this, in this activity, counseling was carried out on the SNI standard for red bricks and facilitated the craftsmen to test the red brick products, especially with the test of pressure tests. The test results showed that the compressive strength of 45 samples ranged from 6.75 - 14.616 N / mm2, with the quality category according to the SNI 15-2094-2000 standard being class II and class III. This shows that the craftsmen in Bojong Village need to be helped to improve the quality of their brick products. Community service activities provide a plan for improving the quality of the red bricks that craftsmen need to do.

Abstract

The emphasis of the 2013 curriculum is to make students or students have better abilities in observing, asking, reasoning, and communicating. Questions developed using three higher order thinking categories based on Bloom's taxonomic revision, namely, analyzing, evaluating, and creating, where each level has its own criteria which can be adopted into the problem and the objectives of the learning to be achieved. Based on the results of the identification of partners found problems teachers still have difficulty in making questions that are able to encourage students to develop higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and have not made students want to analyze the questions before answering, the teacher gives practice questions or test questions to students only fixated on the category remember, understand, and apply, and facilities and require additional questions for students who have the ability to think at a high level so students are able to develop their way of reasoning. Conduct training and mentoring community service activities using lecture, question and answer, discussion, assignment, project-based methods. The implementation of the PKM training on the development of the High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment model for the 8th teacher group in the East Lubuklinggau II KKG elementary school went well and the participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the training. The activity has an impact on improving the skills of model development training (HOTS) for teachers in the 8th KKG group at SD Lubuklinggau Timur II, Lubuklinggau City. Abstract

Jungsemi Village is one of the villages located in Kangkung District, Kendal Regency, Central Java which has resource potential, especially agricultural products in the form of corn. The Community Service Team from the University of PGRI Semarang strives to empower the potential in the village through training activities for making semprong made from corn flour produced by local communities, as well as simple product packaging training and followed by online marketing training activities using applications and media social. This activity was attended by community partners, namely PKK Jungsemi Village women for several stages. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the skills of the partner community of more than 80% based on the survey results and the community was considered very enthusiastic in participating in this activity. To support the sustainability of this program, the service team continues to monitor and evaluate post-service activities by monitoring partner activities.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PPM) carried out by lecturers of the Civil Engineering Study Program, PGRI Palembang University at SMK Negeri 1 Suak Tapeh, Banyuasin Regency, aims so that students and teachers can get to know and increase knowledge about the basics of drawing a construction design using the 2D autoCAD application, basic by drawing simple shapes such as trapezoid, circle and simple house, and being able to operate and apply the AutoCAD 2D application program in teaching and learning activities in schools. The method or method applied is to provide theoretical explanations orally and practice directly in the school computer laboratory. The number of participants who attended was 30 students, most of whom did not know autoCAD. After participating in and practicing directly, of the 30 students who took part in this workshop based on the results of monitoring on the student's computer screen, it was seen that almost 90% of students could follow well and could draw according to the instructor's direction. There are 7% of students who have not been able to follow optimally with the condition that the pictures made are not in accordance with the provisions and there are 3% of students who cannot follow due to problems on the computer used

Abstract

The aims of community service activities is to provide students understanding and awareness of the impact of early marriage through film media. The method used in community service is using the counseling method. The results of the analysis of PKM activities that have been carried out as a whole show a percentage of 76.5% included in the category of understand the concept of marriage. Then, students' perceptions of the effects of early marriage look quite good where students disagree with early marriage behavior, early marriage adversely affects reproductive health, marriage requires maturity both physically and mentally and readiness for marriage, early marriage is vulnerable Domestic violence and divorce, and understanding marriage is very important before deciding to get married. The importance of PKM activities is carried out further into schools as an effort to reduce the perpetrators of early marriage and the impact of early marriage.

Abstract

This program aims to socialize the use of dragon fruit stalks as a source of electrical energy. The implementation of this service was carried out in Megang Sakti III Village, Megang Sakti District, Musi Rawas Regency, with the target of the Megang Sakti III Village PKK Team. Dragon fruit plants are one of the leading commodities in Megang Sakti III Village, this is marked by the number of dragon fruit plantations along the Megang Sakti District area so that it attracted the TIM's interest in carrying out PPM activities in the village by socializing the benefits of dragon fruit stems as a source of electrical energy by parallel circuit concept as well as dynamic electricity. The electrical circuit from dragon fruit stalks is an alternative source of renewable energy that can ease people in overcoming electrical problems in everyday life. Due to the increase in electricity rates plus there are still many Indonesians, especially in rural areas who have not been touched by electricity, it is necessary to develop an alternative source of electrical energy that is easy and cheap and by utilizing the available local potential. dragons arranged in parallel are proof that dragon fruit stalks can be used as a source of renewable electrical energy, so that people realize that there are many beneficial things that can be obtained from dragon fruit plants besides consuming the fruit.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide knowledge and skills using GeoGebra software in learning, especially those related to geometry. The methods used in this activity are lectures, practice, training and discussions. The training participants were 18 students of the STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau Mathematics Education Study Program. The instruments used as a form of evaluation of this training activity were test questions and student response questionnaires. Based on data analysis through the calculation of N-Gain between the pretest and posttest, it was obtained a value of 0.85 which indicates that the increase in the understanding of the training participants was in the high category and the results of the student response questionnaire showed a positive student response of 89.55% with the very good category.

Abstract

During Distance Learning, the teacher's time to be able to meet students is very limited, so the solution for this is to create learning media. Of course the learning media must be in the form of multimedia (audio-visual) so that parents can use it to do learning with their children. The purpose of this Community Service is to create animated letters and numbers using Microsoft Power Point and Kinemaster. Training aimed at early childhood educators. Target outcomes expected kindergarten educators are able to make a simple animated video to learn to recognize letters and numbers. The number of participants in this training was 63 kindergarten teachers who were conducted online in Ngawi District, Ngawi Regency. This Community Service Program includes training to make animated letters and numbers using power points. Activities carried out during the two days of the December 4 and January 7, 2021. The result of this Community Service is that they can make animated videos of letters and numbers and develop them into learning media. The average number of mastery of the practice of making animated videos of letters and numbers reached 93.4 percent. Qualitatively, the participants were able to make animated videos very well.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran matematika pemanfaatan teknologi komputer sudah banyak dilakukan. Contoh yang sering ditemui adalah pemanfaatan program aplikasi yang dapat diakses secara gratis oleh pembelajar yaitu aplikasi GeoGebra. Namun, tidak setiap guru dapat memahami dan melakukan pembelajaran dengan aplikasi ini. Masih banyak guru yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam memanfaatkan komputer sebagai alat bantu dan media dalam pembelajaran. Bahkan tidak sedikit guru yang belum mengetahui bahwa GeoGebra dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika dan Program Studi PPG Universitas PGRI Palembang perlu untuk melakukan kegiatan mengenalkan dan membantu guru dalam mengimplementasikan aplikasi GeoGebra dalam bentuk pelatihan online dengan tema “Penggunaan GeoGebra dalam Pembelajaran Matematika”. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu pelatihan secara online berbantuan aplikasi zoom. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 1,5 bulan (5 hari). Hasil kegiatan berupa telah dikuasainya materi yang disampaikan walaupun belum begitu mahir, yakni dapat dilihat melalui tugas-tugas yang diberikan. Respon peserta kegiatan sangat baik dan mereka berharap pelatihan seperti ini dapat terus dilakukan.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the Covid-19 virus has infected since March 2, 2020. Since then, the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy has been implemented in several areas with a high spread of the virus, (Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 9 of 2020). This is used to suppress the spread of the virus. Hospitality is one of the tourism industries affected. The problem of hotel occupancy rates has decreased due to the Covid 19 pandemic in hotels, forcing a number of hotels to experience temporary or permanent closures. In an effort to develop standard governance standards in mitigating the impact of the Covid 19 outbreak for the hotel industry, the community service team views the need to establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent and control the impact of Covid 19 in the hotel industry. The object of this activity is the management of Hotel Laweyan Surakarta. The methods used were socialization, FGD and trials. At this stage the output produced is SOP Front Office and Housekeeping. The PKM team also helped with a set of tools for washing hands and personal protective equipment. SOPs are important especially for disaster mitigation and health services to control the stages of activities so that they are easy to monitor.
