Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning Arabic in improving learning outcomes by using Al-Thariqah Al-Intiqaiyyah in tenth class of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study were all tenth classes of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang while the sample was tenth class of science major 8 as a control class and tenth class of science major 6 as an experimental class. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially.  From the test data, it can be seen that the average outcomes of the experimental class and the control class has increased. The average pre-test score of the control class was 55.25 and the average post-test score was 79.25 while the average pre-test score of the experimental class was 55.25 and the average post-test score was 87. Based on the results of the SPSS 16.0 analysis, sig values were obtained. (2-tailed) of the experimental class and the control class post-test was 0.00 which means less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that H1 is accepted then there is a significant difference between the experimental class post-test and the control class post-test. H1 acceptance proves that Al-Thariqah Al-Intiqaiyyah was effective in improving Arabic learning outcomes in tenth class of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang.

Abstract

Learning Arabic language has the ideal conditions that students want to achieve. therefore, the ideal condition is highly dependent on various factors. This research discusses the views or perspectives on the Arabic Language from students of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon that are enrolled in different faculties. This research contains several objectives: primarily to learn the direct thoughts of students on the Arabic language and its relevance within both national and international level. In addition, this study reveals the academic conditions of the students that has a direct correlation towards their preparedness and desire to receive studying materials in one semester whilst studying during first semester 2019 in from the total amount of sample that consists of 109 students. The researcher utilizes the survey method to perform the study along with empty cards as an aiding tool which was distributed among students. The empty papers that were provided were given to let students write their brief reasonings behind their perspective on Arabic Language. The outcome of this study shows that there were 40% of students having negative views towards the Arabic language, 45% of students with positive views while 10% of the research sample combines themes or contents closely related to the Arabic language. Furthermore, 5% of student gave suggestions and ideas for learning Arabic language. This research has contributed in several ways especially in understanding the student?s perspectives and opinions on Arabic language and help the lecturers to identify suitable teaching methods to use during the learning and teaching process.

Abstract

This study was conducted to meet the needs of Nahwu textbooks in Islamic boarding schools based on the scaffolding-structure based on the Al-Ajurumiyyah Al-Qur’aniyyah book by adhering to the applicable Nahwu principle. The research method used is ADDIE model development research This textbook has innovations in the form of a comprehensive concept map, the application of scaffolding theory with sentence patterns from examples of verses of the Qur’an, and a quick response code containing interesting learning content. The textbook is very valid and can be implemented after going through the validation test with the presentation of the results of material validation 95.45%, media validation 89.18%, and validation of learning 95.92%. The effectiveness test with paired t-test shows that the book being developed has a significant effect on student learning.

Abstract

The Ability to pronounce correct phoneme is one of the basic elements in learning Arabic. This research aimed to obtain data about Arabic pronunciation errors in students at junior high school. The research approach is qualitative. The sample of this study was 30 students of the Al-Mahmud IT Junior High School in Bima, Indonesia which were selected by using a simple random sample technique. The data of this research were the results of the students' audiovisual recordings when reciting Arabic text. Data analysis used the analysis model of Tarigan's, namely; data collection, identification, description, explanation, classification and evaluation. The results of this study The causes of phoneme errors are: environment, interference and performance. Classification of errors consist of omission, adding mad and Substitution. Evaluation and suggestion; there some ways to develop in learning Arabic phoneme are: continuous practice, listening to Arabic audio and videos.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the implementation's effectiveness as supporting and inhibiting factors of Chomsky's Transformational Linguistic Theory in Writing Skill implementation. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and tests. The results of this study are: 1) the researchers obtained the difference in scores between the pretest and posttest of the control class and the experimental class. 2) there were five supporting factors and three inhibiting factors in learning maharah kitabah at MA Muallimat Malang Indonesia. The supporting factors are: 1) the transformation of sentences is easy to understand, 2) students have the ability of basic Arabic rules, 3) students can write Arabic, 4) enthusiasm in participating in learning activities, 5) availability of sufficient media for learning. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are: 1) the difficulty of students distinguishing mudzakkar and muannats,2) only a few materials limits transformation, 3) some students do not like to learn Arabic.

Abstract

This study to explore the steps of web-based assessment using gnomio.com as a mean of evaluation during online Arabic language Course. This work uses a descriptive qualitative approach. As many as 56 college students of IAIN Palangka Raya were the subject of this work. The data collected for this work was obtained through direct observation, open response questionnaires, and interviews. The result of this work shows that the utilization of web-based assessment using gnomio.com on those students is well accepted in terms of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. The mobility indicator on perceived ease of use bolsters along with the pandemic situation. In terms of the Perceived usefulness of Web based assessment using gnomio.com, it gives feedback to the students compared to other applications.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teachers’ trends in teaching Arabic in elementary schools in terms of goal orientations and teaching techniques. The research data was collected from 52 Arabic teachers using a questionnaire and interviews. The data was analyzed using the interactive techniques of Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that in relation to the goal orientation, the teachers give priority to the mastering of vocabulary (34.6 %), followed by speaking (25 %), reading (23.1 %), and the last is writing, listening, and translating (1.9 %). This fact indicated that their goal orientations have not led to the expected goals as stated in the curriculum. This study also shows that their techniques in teaching Arabic have various patterns based on their main goal orientations that did not follow the standard of teaching techniques as suggested by the Arabic education experts. The results of this study indicate that teachers’ lack of competence in teaching Arabic in elementary schools.

Abstract

Technological capabilities in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 can facilitate the learning process. However, some Arabic language education students at Jambi University still find it difficult to learn Arabic and decide to change majors. This study  finds out how the problems, opportunities, and roles of the Arabic language during the industrial revolution 4.0 in the Arabic language education study program at  Jambi University. This research is a descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques: a) observation; b) interviews; and c) documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques include: a) data reduction; b) data presentation; c) conclusions. Triangulation and discussion has been use to validate the data. The results show that: a) the problems of learning Arabic, such as: 1) differences background for the students; 2) students are less interested in learning Arabic; 3) no Arabic speaking environment; and 4) lecturers have not mastered technology; b) opportunities: the ability to speak Arabic provides an opportunity to get or create jobs not only in the education sector, but also in other sectors; while c) the role of Arabic is one of international language, diplomatic communication between countries in various fields, and learning knowledge from original Arabic sources.

Abstract

Kahoot application in learning can also help teachers to collect feedback from students, assess students’ learning understanding, and make surveys about problems that can be identified during learning. This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of using Kahoot! application as an evaluation tool in Arabic vocabulary learning for fifth-grade students at MI Al-Ma’arif 01 Margomulyo, Blitar. This research was qualitative with a One Group Pretest Posttest design – an experiment carried out in one group only without comparison. The samples of this research were the fifth-grade 25 students of MI Al-Ma'arif 01 Margomulyo Blitar. The results showed that the average evaluation score of the students after using Kahoot! application as a learning media increased by 75.2, much higher than before, it was 37.6. The use of Kahoot! application as an evaluation tool in Arabic vocabulary learning contributed 32% to the learning outcomes of the fifth-grade students at MI Al-Ma'arif 01 Margomulyo.

Abstract

This study describes teaching Indonesian culture-based speaking skills using the textbook al-Arabiyah Lil Hayah. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. At the same time, the data collection techniques in the study were carried out by triangulation techniques which included observation, documentation, and literacy. The implementation of teaching Indonesian culture-based speaking skills is carried out in four ways: 1) in planning, which includes the preparation of a Semester Learning Plan (RPS); 2) in teaching materials, the theme of Arabic speaking skills is integrated with Indonesian culture in a “melting pot”; 3) in the implementation of learning, teachers use several learning methods in turn, including picture and picture, role-playing, communicative, story, discussion, and group work; and 4) in the learning assessment, some assessed aspects are pronunciation, sentence arrangement, clarity of voice, the accuracy of vocabulary, and smoothness.
