Abstract

Abstract

Kata kunci: zona deposisi, imbuhan, efluent, influentAbstract     There is an indication of the natural discharge loss of the Cikapundung river in the Maribaya-Gondok segment. Generally, the characteristic of this segment is effluent, so the influent process in this segment is an anomaly. It is suspected that the major recharge happened in the Gandok area which is an upper area of the deposition zone. This research examines this hypothesis. The process of surveying discharge and identifying the supporting geological conditions has done along the segment. While the statistical testing is used to measure the influence of discharge variability to the water table through time series analysis. The result of this study shows that the major recharge happens in the suspected area, which is in the segment that has the lowest gradient factor and high density lineaments. The process of recharge happens especially through the contact zone between the Cibeureum and the Cikapundung formation. Keywords: deposition zone, recharge, effluent, influent

Abstract

The Area of Southern part of Pati Basin located in, Jepara Regencyt, Central Java Province was a frontier area. Because of that will held a further research to know about geological condition at this area especially about the subsurface structure geology. In this area expand some phenomena of Quaternary Geology such a fault, earthquake and volcanism, with active and re-activated activities. The regional structure influences on forming the smaller faults and volcanism Quaternary. The faults are Tayu Regional Fault (L-1) with northwest - southeast direction, Rahtawu Fault (L-2) with north – south direction, and Jepara and Bangsri Fault (L-3) with southwest – norteast directions. This regional structure experience the reactivated, and cross the bedrock. The product of this process is magma came out from the crust and formed the volcanism.Based on result of geomagnet interpretation record on territorial waters of Muria Peninsula (Pati’s Bain South’s part) show the existence of breaking structure at Trajectory L-1,L2 and L-3. Predicted by the fault structure is effect from continuity of structures which there are in land

Abstract

Abstract

Regional Structure in Java influenced by collision between Hindia-Australia plate and Eurasi plate activities. This collision formed mélange rock that now outcropped in Ciletuh, Sukabumi. Beside mélange rock are found, this collision form regional structure of in Java both under and also above surface.Under surface Structure generally expand from southern part of Java continent to Java Sea. This North-south Structure can be classified as Sunda Pattern. Other Regional Structural Geology can be seen on the surface of either direct field perception and also from satellite imagenary, for example Cimandiri fault, Baribius fault and Lembang fault. Cimandiri fault represent Meratus pattern while Baribis fault and lembang fault represent Java pattern. The forming of this three fault pattern also followed by volcanic activities along with continental plates collision activities. The Changes of volcanic belts in are related to the subduction belt changes or the changes of subduction zone angle. These changes also influence regional structural geology in West Java.

Abstract

Soil bearing capacity for shallow foundations usually have problem on expansive soil. Value of soil bearing capacity is low because soil variable have low value. To increase the value of soil bearing capacity, the soil quality to be improved, namely the stabilization of the soil through the addition of CaO. The Soil bearing capacity for shallow foundation with Saftey Factor = 2 and depth 1 M on the local shear conditions have increased due to the addition of CaO with the following equation: 1) Footing square shape: qa = 2,6631CaO0,6057 (R² = 0,937; R= 0,97); 2) Footing circular shape: qa = 2,7611CaO0,5933 (R² = 0,9369; R= 0,97); 3) Footing continuous shape: qa = 1,702 CaO0,6764 (R² = 0,9393; R= 0,97). Environmental management for shallow foundations are required to avoid the numbers are still high activity (A> 1) and the change of CaO by acidic rain water. Environmental management for the foundation starts with selecting Safety Factor, and building load should not exceed the allowable soil bearing capacity accordance with Safety Factor chosen. The addition of CaO should not be excessive, it is recommended ratio 15% CaO of the native soil to do optimal mixing.

Abstract

Abstract

In Indonesia, a program in rehabilitation of forest region on destructed land had become a national movement (GNRHL) by the central government on the river catchment area since 1999. Destructed forest implies to the decreasing its natural function which physically related with geological hazards such as erosion, landslide, etc. In the forest region of the Cimanuk River catchment area, landslide frequently occurs every year. As an initial step to build the early warning system, mapping of landslide susceptibilityis necessary. In this study, landslide susceptibility is approached through analysis of Geological map, rock/soil engineering formation, quantitative analysis of slope stability (SF) and plotting of previous reported landslides in the forest region.Result of analyses shows that there are 4 types of susceptibility on the study area. Highly susceptible is characterized by mountainous to hilly area on thick soil of fine grain sedimentary rocks with high density lineations representing geological structures. Medium susceptibility is characterized by hilly area on thick to thin soil of coarse grain rocks with medium density lineations. Low susceptibility is characterized by hilly area on thin soil of coarser grain from sedimentary and volcanic rocks. Very low susceptibility area is characterized by soil on alluvial plain. Special attention is carried out on swelling-shrinking type of soils, neotectonism and bare forest area on the toe of slope.
