Abstract

Abstract: Improving Science Learning Outcomes through the Numbered Heads Together Learning Model in the Class V Students of SD Negeri Daya I Biringkanaya Makassar. This research was a Classroom Action Research that aimd to improve the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences through the Numbered Heads Together learning model in fifth grade students of SD Negeri I Biringkanaya Makassar. This type of classroom action research was divided into two cycles with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique was qualitative, while the data in the form of numbers or quantitative data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of students understanding of natural science subjects in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Daya 1 Biringkanaya Makassar, on the material properties of light due to the teacher creating varied learning conditions. The application of Numbered Heads Together learning model was used as an alternative in the material about the properties of light. This study aimed to improve learning outcomes on the material properties of light. An increase in the quality of learning was characterized by an increase in the average activity of students in the learning process in accordance with the results of observation during class action, where the average score of the end result of the first cycle was 64.33, an increase of 86.66 in the second cycle. Likewise with mastery learning from the first cycle 43.33% increased by 90% in the second cycle.Keywords: Numbered Heads Together learning model, Natural Science Learning Outcome

Abstract

Abstrak. Efektivitas Metode Bercerita dalam Meningkatkan Karakter Anak di TK Mawar Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui karakter anak usia dini serta mengetahui efektivitas metode bercerita dalam meningkatkan karakter anak usia dini di TK Mawar Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah metode bercerita efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter anak di TK Mawar Kabupaten Gowa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah weak experimental dengan desain one-sho-tcase-study. Sasaran penelitian adalah anak umur 5-6 tahun atau kelompok B.1 di TK Mawar Kabupaten Gowa berjumlah 13 orang anak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Data hasil observasi dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif untuk memaparkan peningkatan karakter anak umur 5-6 tahun. Hasil analisis data membuktikan bahwa metode bercerita efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter anak, diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed)<  0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang artinya metode bercerita efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter anak di TK Mawar Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa Kota Makassar.Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, metode bercerita

Abstract

Abstract: Improving Science Learning Outcomes through the Application of Meaningful Learning Model in Class IV Students of SDN No. 141 Pakka, Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency. This study aimed to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes in elementary school students through the application of meaningful learning modelin class IV students of SDN No. 141 Pakka Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency. The population in this study was all IV students of SDN No. 141 Pakka Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency in the academic year 2016-2017, 22 students consisted of 8 male students and 14 female students. In this study, there were two kinds of variables, namely: (1) Meaningful learning model as variable X (free), and (2) Science learning outcomes as variable Y (bound). Science learning outcomes were measured using cycle tests, and student activities were measured using observation sheets. Science learning outcomes of class IV students of SDN No. 141 Pakka Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency in the first cycle obtained the highest value was 75, the lowest value was 40, and an average value was 49.31, out of the 22 students who took the learning outcomes test in the first cycle there were 17 students or 77.27% of students who had uncompleted yet, and 5 students or 22.72% of students who had finished while in the second cycle the highest score was 100, the lowest score was 80, the range of scores was 20 and the average score was 89.31% of 22 students who took the learning outcomes test in the second cycle, all students were 22 students or 100% of students who had finished. Thus, this study had proved that if the learning model was meaningfully applied, the science learning of class IV students of SDN No. 141 Pakka Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency increased.Keywords: Science learning outcomes, meaningful learning model.

Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Discovery Learning Model on the Ability to Write Explanatory Texts for Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 11 Makassar. This study aimed to determine the effect of discovery learning model on the ability to write explanatory text students in class VII. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 11 Makassar. Researcher used the Pre-Experimental research method with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research was all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 11 Makassar. This research was conducted in two stages of assessment, namely the initial test or before treatment and the final test or after treatment. Researcher conducted data collection using test and observation methods. The results showed that the ability to write explanatory texts before being given a treat obtained an average value of 69.5 or an incomplete percentage of 59%. After being given treatment by using the discovery learning model learning get an average value of 80.27 with a percentage of 78% that was complete. Improvement of students' writing skills after being given treatment by 78% which was previously 59%. In other words, there was the effect of discovery learning learning model on the ability to write explanatory text for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 11 Makassar.Keywords: Writing Ability, Explanatory Text, Discovery Learning Model.

Abstract

Abstract: Improving the Ability to Write Poetry by Using Image Media for Students of Class VIII of SMP Negeri 31 Makassar. This study aimed to find out the right picture media in improving poetry writing skills of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 31 Makassar. In this study, researcher used carefully selected media images to improve the poetry writing ability of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 31 Makassar in teaching and learning activities that carried out for three months. The method used in this study was the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. This study used two cycles; each cycle consisted of four stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in this study were tests (poetry writing tests in the first cycle and poetry writing tests in the second cycle) and non-tests (teacher observation and student observation). The results showed an increase in students' writing abilities when using media images. During the preaction 11 students who responded were able to write poetry, when they did the ability to write poetry in cycle one it turned out that there were eleven students who wrote poetry reaching KKM, and when using picture media in cycle two the ability to write poetry increased to 22 students achieving KKM scores.Keywords: Improvement, Writing Ability, Picture Media

Abstract

Abstrak: Perbandingan Hasil Belajar Matematika Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe NHT dengan Tipe TGT Pada Siswa Kelas V SDN No 138 Basokeng Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V yang diajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dan TGT, dan mengetahui perbedaan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SDN No 138 Basokeng Kabupaten Bulukumba dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan tipe TGT. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi experiment design. Sampelnya diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah pretest-posst test control group design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument tes hasil belajar. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif dan analisis statistika inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas VB SDN No 138 Basokeng Kabupaten Bulukumba yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT termasuk dalam kategori sedang, yaitu dengan skor rata-rata 73,37 dari skor ideal 100 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 8,214, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VA yang diajar dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, yaitu dengan skor rata-rata 80,62 dari skor ideal 100, dengan standar deviasi sebesar 9,232. Dari hasil analisis inferensial diperoleh bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang tidak signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT. Kata Kunci: NHT; TGT; Hasil Belajar Matematika

Abstract

Abstract: The Effectiveness of the Synthesis Analysis Structure (SAS) Method in Improving the Initial Reading Ability of Students Grade 1 at Ballewe Elementary School Barru Regency. This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the synthesis analysis structure (SAS) method in improving the initial reading ability of students’ grade 1 at Ballewe elementary school Barru regency. The approach used in this research was quantitative approach with experimental methods. The population in this study was all students in grade 1 elementary school in Barru, consisted of 27 students. The instrument used to obtain data in this study was test instrument. Test technique was preliminary reading test. The results of this research indicated the paired sample test table sig (2.tailed), obtained a value of 0,000. The obtained value was smaller than the significance level of 0.05 which indicated that there was a significant difference in the 0.05 probability of students’ grade 1 learning outcomes. This showed that the application of the SAS method had an influence in improving initial reading skill.Keywords: synthesis analysis structure, Initial Reading.

Abstract

Abstract: The Application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) to Improve Social Studies Learning Outcomes of Students in Class IV SD Inpres Barrang Caddi II Makassar. The purpose of this study was to improve social studies learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning types of teams games tournament (TGT) in fourth grade students of SD Inpres Barrang Caddi II Makassar. The approach used in this research was a qualitative approach and the type of research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The focus on this classroom research was: 1. Teacher, namely how teachers plan learning steps to be achieved to maximum 2. Students, namely to improve student learning outcomes in social science subjects ( IPS) through the cooperative approach of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model IV SD Inpres Barrang Caddi II Makassar. Data collection techniques were observation and learning achievement tests. Learning outcomes of social science (IPS) grade IV students of SD Inpres Barrang Caddi II in Makassar City had improved after the two teams learning tournament (TGT) held for two cycles. Improved learning outcomes were shown by an increase of evaluation test results in each cycle. In the first cycle the average score reached 63.33, and the second cycle increased to 70.37. While the classical completeness of cycle I, which was 44.44%, had not met the indicators of success. But in the second cycle classical completeness increased to 85.18% and had met the indicators of success.Keywords: Student Learning Outcomes, Teams Games Tournament Model (TGT).

Abstract

 Abstract: The Relationship between the Use of Teacher-Parental communicator book and the Effectiveness of Student Learning Communication on Natural Science Learning Achievement at SD Inpres Parang Makassar. This study aimed (1) to look at the relationship between the use of parent-student communicator book on science learning achievement (2) to see the relationship between the effectiveness of student communication and science learning achievement (3) to see the relationship between the use of parent-student communicator book and student communication effectiveness on science learning achievement. The research used ex post facto research method. Data collection techniques were questionnaires for parent-student communicator book variables and the effectiveness of learning communication and documentation of science learning achievement variables. The population was all elementary school students of SD Inpres Parang Makassar, consisted of 66 students in even semester Academic Year 2018. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with 57 students. The data analysis technique was descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between the use of communicator book and the learning achievement of science in SD Inpres Parang Makassar, but had weak relationship. There was a positive relationship between the effectiveness of student learning communication on science learning achievement in SD Inpres Parang Makassar, with moderate relationship. There was a positive relationship between the use of communicator book and the effectiveness of student learning communication on science learning achievement in SD Inpres Parang Makassar, the relationship among three variables was moderate.Keywords: Communicator book, Learning communication, Science Learning Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: Enhancing Listening Ability to Restate News Highlights Through Buzz Group Discussion Method of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kahu Bone Regency. This study aimed to examine the ability to pay attention in restating the headlines through the discussion method of buzz groups of students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 kahu Bone Regency. This research was a class action research. Data collection techniques were observation and assignment through restating the main points of news highlights after applying the buzz group discussion technique. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, and the learning outcomes data that were restating the news highlights were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The results showed that the application of the buzz group discussion method on restating the news highlights at the planning, implementation, and outcome stages had increased. This could be seen in the activities of students and teachers in the application of the buzz group technique discussion in the first cycle were still categorized as less active. In cycle II there was a change in the process that showed average in the active category. In the first cycle, the average value of 73.5 and included in the category that experienced an increase in the second cycle with an average value of 84.9 and included in the high category. Based on the results of research, Indonesian language teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Kahu Bone Regency should use maximum learning methods, so that students were more active in the learning process. Indonesian teachers could use the buzz group discussion method in enhancing listening ability to restate news highlights.Keywords: Improvement, Listening News Highlights, Buzz Groups Technique
