Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the implementation of pictures technique in increasing vocabulary of the fourth gradepupils of SDN 6 Palu. This research employed a collaborativeclassroom action research design and was implemented in the formof cycles consisting of four major steps: planning, implementing,observing and reflecting. The subject of the research were 34 pupilsof grade four B at SDN 6 Palu. The instruments used to collect datawere test, observation checklists, field notes, and questionnaire. Thisresearch was completed in two cycles because the results of theresearch in the first cycle did not meet the criteria of success. Eachof cycle comprises four meetings. The findings of the researchshowed that the applying of technique in teaching English canincrease pupils’ vocabulary mastery. This is shown by theimprovement of the mean score made by the pupils, that is: 7.04 incycle I to 8.10 in Cycle II and the number of the pupils who gotscores at least 6.5 or greater was 22 (64.71%) in cycle I to 34(100%) in cycle II. In addition, the pupils gave positive responsetoward the model applied as reflected from the results of threevariables of measurement of the questionnaire given: learningmotivation, learning result, and tasks accomplishment. It can beconcluded that the pictures technique is effective and applicable inteaching vocabulary.

Abstract

In the people'srealities, women's problems and advertising is one thing that cannot be separated, because women in the eye ofsociety become an important scourge in advertisements withoutwomen's identity feels empty and will not create balance in life. Thebalance is that advertising is more likely to build a reality byexploiting norms or values and secondly no single theory isspecifically used to examine gender issues. The theory developed forgender is adopted from the theories that move in the field related togender issues. The theory in question is structural functional theory,conflict theory, feminism theory and others.

Abstract

The world of play is the world of children. Fostering Indonesian language skills for children through play methods is a way of developing language skills with the goal of conveying ideas, ideas, concepts, and feelings through reading, listening, writing and speaking. By using play methods to foster language skills for children, such as guessing pictures, word games, chain whispers, crossword puzzles, role playing, traveling, drama, intelligent meticulous, ready to carry out orders, and make cooperation. These methods are tailored to the child's ability to receive the required material. The steps taken in fostering children's language skills through play methods include: Determining the purpose and theme of play activities, determining the kinds of play activities, determining the place and play space, determining materials and play equipment, and determining the sequence of play steps. Thus, children's language skills will grow along with the growth of activities expressed in everyday life.

Abstract

Implementation of gender equality and justice in the family is the functioning of a good family order as an absolute prerequisite for the survival of a new generation of values and norms in accordance with the expectations of society, the realization of mutual understanding of the role of each in the family is characterized by the absence of discrimination between women and men, and thus they have access, opportunity to participate, and control over development and equitable and fair benefits in all sectors of development.

Abstract

The promiscuity of juvenile delinquency is increasingly showing a very alarming increase. This paper examines the role of education in avoiding the promiscuity of adolescent children. With education it will create the formation of character. With the character of teenage children will "lead" themselves to do something right and not do something that is not true. This character becomes the determinant of whether adolescents are able or not to adjust to the diversity of situations that it faces, especially to avoid promiscuity. In addition to the realization of Gender-based education, women can earn non- loyal equality. Which in the long term can improve the protection, service and welfare of vulnerable women as the most disadvantaged party in free sex among adolescents.

Abstract

Umm Habibah bint Abu sufyan was Ramlah, her heart has been guided by divine guidance, then she abandoned the religion of her father ( abu sufyan) and she married to a man who does not bow to an idol for sure impending Rasullulah.When the pagan quraysh increased violence to the follower of the prophet, the muslim migrated to habasyah. In the group there ramlah bint abu sufyan along with her husband ubaidillah bin Jaksi al asadi, but unfurnately in a move ubaidillah bin Jaksi Al Asadi apostate he embraced chirtianity. There apostasy husband, umm habibah faced three options, namely,first go back to widowed at migrated place.For the sake of belief whice has been embedded in her heart, umm habibah choose widowed abasyah. Patience in the widowed and Far away from relitives, recorded with Allah Al Migthy. Umm habibah dreamed of being a mother of the faithful, and the dream turned into reality, she actually spoken by the prophed and became one of the mother of the faithful.

Abstract

Life skill education is education that provides basic provision and proper practice to the community about the values of life needed and useful for the development of people's lives, especially in women. The form or model of life skills development can be seen through the way of learning in developing life skills that is to provide questions/asks that encourage others to do/think. The types of questions asked or the tasks assigned by the teacher or instructor are very influential on the development of people's thinking skills. The questions/tasks are not only to focus on activities, but also to explore or know the potential of each region, so as to trigger analytical, evaluative, and creative thinking and can train in solving problems that occur in self, or in her family.

Abstract

Domestic violence (KDRT) is the most common violence of women in Indonesia. This occurs because of gender imbalances that differentiate women's and men's roles and rights in the community that places women in a lower status than men. The privilege of men as if they make women the property of men who are entitled to be treated arbitrarily, including by violence. The counseling theory approach that is considered relevant to domestic violence cases is feminist counseling. Concepts built in feminist theory use a system perspective, meaning that the process of counseling intervention is not only to individuals but the individual environment is given the treatment to ensure the solution of the root of the problem. The ability of counselors to empower individuals/communities within the victim's environment is a skill that must be sharpened by counselors who use feminist counseling. This theory is based on the principles of the personal is political, egalitarian relationship and the valuing perspective. The three concepts that become pillars of feminist counseling become an essential indicator in determining the ability of counselor in assisting women victims of domestic violence.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Dynamics of Women's Education in Islamic History. In tracing the history books, the work of Islamic historians relating to women's education in general in the Islamic world and in Indonesia since the classical era, setbacks, reforms, found the dynamics and variations of public appreciation of educational opportunities for women. In some historical periods, women are considered second-class citizens, so they do not have access to education and self-development that is equal to men. While in the view of Islam men and women have the same position. This study concludes that in the history of Islam in a period of decline, women were not only restricted in attending education but they were marginalized and prohibited from participating in social activities. In the classical and renewal period, women and men have the same position in terms of education and social activities.

Abstract

Language is a system of agreeable rules on the formula of words, voices or statements used for the transfer of understanding and feeling. Language is the speech sound produced by the human speech utensil that functions as a communication tool, the mother tongue is the first language controlled by man since the beginning of his life through interaction with fellow members of the community, mother tongue is the first language used and mastered by children in day-today speech in their community. With the mother tongue, children have been introduced to the culture, because it is more directed to the regional language used in communicating. The presence of the slang language as a „prokem‟ language has dominated the language of the children, how then the efforts of teachers at school and parents at home and in the community can make the mother tongue, as a means of neutralizing the slang language in the child‟s environment, then strengthened by education and character‟s strengthening of children and adolescents both at home, in community and also at school.
