Abstract

In the practice of nursing one factor that plays an important role in the success of breastfeeding is feeding techniques. When the breastfeeding technique is incorrect, it can cause a variety of problems. No maximum breastfeeding will result in less good, because the baby’s sucking is very influential on subsequent milk production stimulation. Based on data obtained from UPK Siantan Hulu Health Center Blue Lake District of  North Pontianak, the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in 2014 is still low, as much as 61.88% with a target of 80%. This study aims to determine the relationship of education, employment and attitude towards the practice of breastfeeding mothers of infants aged 0-6 months in the working area of   Puskesmas UPK Siantan Upper Blue Lake District of North Pontianak. This type of research is analytic survey with cross sectional approach. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with a sample of 59 people. Data were analyzed by chi square test. The results showed no association between maternal education with the practice of breastfeeding. There is a relationship between the work and the attitude towards the practice of breast-feeding mothers. Suggested to the local health authorities to continue to provide information on the practice of breastfeeding in the right way, through the distribution of posters, leaflets and other education media, and routinely perform counseling and individual and group counseling at health centers or at Posyandu activities.

Abstract

Implementation of the food is a series of activities that constitute a system includes activities or sub-system of budgeting food, planning menus, making estimates of foodstuffs, provision or purchase groceries, reception, storage and distribution of food ingredients, preparation and cooking of food, assessment and distribution food, recording and reporting and evaluation carried out in the framework of the provision of food for the population in the institution. This study aims to determine the relationship of the acceptability of food energy and protein intake in students in the dormitory MAN Model Singkawang. This type of research is observational with cross sectional approach. Sampling using simple random sampling technique to obtain a sample of 48 students. Primary data collected included the acceptability of food, intake of energy and protein intake. While the secondary data includes a general overview of the research and the number of students that will be investigated. The analysis used include univariate and bivariate analysis using chi square test. Based on statistical analysis using chi square test, shows that there is a relationship between the received power of food to energy and protein intake in students in a dormitory MAN Model Singkawang (p <0.05).

Abstract

Power of acceptance is the ability of a person to spend the food served according to his needs. To maintain good health and to perform its functions properly, the human body needs nutrients including the energy needs of food. In an effort to improve the health of patients, attention to the improvement of food and nutrition services by the institution to the patient is a matter to note. This study aims to determine the ratio of food acceptance as well as the factors that affect the system of self-managed food and outsourcing. This research is Quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all 3rd grade patients at RSUD Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alqadri Pontianak and RSUD dr Agoesdjam Ketapang which amounted to 100 people. The data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. The analysis used is Chi-Square and T-Test. The results showed that both hospitals received food in good category under <20% but in Hospital with better self-managed feeding system, rather than the system of feeding oursourcing is dikarnakan on food outsourcing organizing system is not monitored from manufacture to to distribution. It is suggested that Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alqadri Hospital Pontianak to evaluate food remnants for 3 months regularly and thoroughly in all patients, and in ketapang hospital to add cooking power

Abstract

Hypertension is a medical condition marked increase in blood pressure beyond normal limits. Consumption of foods high in fiber and minerals (potassium, magnesium, and calcium) is useful for lowering blood pressure. Therefore, patients with hypertension are advised to diet Dash with one principle is to consume fruits and vegetables 4-5 servings/day. Good level of knowledge about the food which affect hypertension will facilitate changes in food consumption behavior of patients with hypertension. The media used is flip charts. The purpose of this study to examine the use of flip charts remind of knowledge and consumption patterns fruit and vegetable in patients with hypertension in the Puskesmas Perumnas I West Pontianak. This type of research is Pre-Experiment with one group pretest posttest design. The test used is the paired t-testest and Wilcoxon. The number of samples was 20 samples and the research was conducted in June 2018. The results showed that there were differences in knowledge before and after the intervention (p= 0,000), while the pattern of consumption of fruits and vegetables showed no differences before and after the intervention (p= 0.184). The difference in average knowledge before and after the intervention was 25.33, while the difference in the average value of the pattern of fruit and vegetable consumption before and after the intervention was 33.33. Suggestions in this study for respondents, they can get used to consuming fruits and vegetables everyday by participating in the program GERMAS (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat) which is held by health workers at the puskesmas and for further research in conducting research on knowledge and patterns of consumption fruits and vegetables, performed at least for 3 months.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is only breastfeeding without additional food and drinks in infants aged 0-6 months. Even water is not given in this exclusive breastfeeding stage. Breast milk is a fat emulsion in a solution of protein, lactose, and organic salt secreted by the two halves of the mother’s breast gland, as the main food for the baby. The composition of breast milk is not the same from time to time, this is based on lactation stage (Setiowati, 2010). This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, maternal work and promotional media for formula milk with exclusive breastfeeding at the Puskesmas in the District of Pemangkat, Sambas Regency. The type of research used is the survey method with a cross sectional study approach. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with a sample of 57 mothers. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between the knowledge of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.054), there was no relationship between the attitudes of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.933), there was no correlation between the work of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.962) , and there is no relationship between the promotion media of formula milk with exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.985). It was concluded that of all the variables tested there was no relationship with exclusive breastfeeding in infants in the Puskesmas that was as far as Pemangkat District, Sambas Regency. It is recommended that mothers give exclusive breastfeeding to their babies until they are 6 months old.

Abstract

Nutritional problem is one public health problem that has not been fully addressed in the world. Combating the problem of malnutrition is not resolved nutritional problems arise, namely the rise in the incidence of obesity and chronic disease so that nutritional problems become more complex. Results RISKESDAS (Riset Kesehatan Dasar) in 2013 showed the prevalence of underweight 12.7% and 21.5% overweight for West Kalimantan, Pontianak prevalence at 5.2% fat and very wasted 4.8%.The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of diet and physical activity on the nutritional status of junior high school students of Al-Azhar Pontianak.This study was an observational study with cross sectional approach. The data collection being done with anthropometric measure to determine the nutritional status of students and using dietary questionnaires to determine the students’ diets and physical activity questionnaires to determine physical activity in students.The results showed by nutritional status category with greater fat found in students with sufficient diet that is equal (19.4%). While students with greater nutritional status wasted contained in students with eating less is equal (20.8%). From the findings, it seemed that students with greater nutritional status found in students with mild activity (35.0%). While students with less nutritional status is also greater in students with mild activity (10.0%). Research shows there is a relationship between diet (p = 0.016), physical activity    (p = 0.021) on nutritional status in junior high school students of Al-Azhar Pontianak. The need for attention from parents to help control food intake of children so that children are not consuming excessive amounts of food can affect the nutritional status and Encourage students to undertake enough physical activity to prevent obesity.

Abstract

Nutritional problems are the impact of consumption of nutrients that have not met the body’s needs. Poor intake can cause malnutrition, and vice versa. To find out nutritional intake, a food consumption survey is needed. The current food consumption survey still has some weaknesses when used in describing nutritional status. Researchers make a method called emoji food. Emoji food is a method used to express the perception of eating habits. Emoji food in the form of symbols adapted from emojis in the android smartphone chat application. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of Emoji food as a predictor of the determination of nutritional status of children aged 3-5 years in Kubu Village, Kubu District, Kubu Raya Regency. This study entered into the category of observational analytic research with a cross sectional approach where the measurement of the variables was carried out simultaneously from the individual in a single population and the measurement was only carried out at one time or period. From the results of the research BB/TB = Sig. (2-tailed) <5% (0.001 <0.05) which means BB/TB has a relationship with Emoji Food. BB/U value = Sig. (2-tailed) <5% (0.007 <0.05) which means BB/U has a relationship with Emoji Food. IMT/U Sig value. (2-tailed) <5% (0.001 <0.05) which means IMT/U has a relationship with Emoji Food. The conclusion of this study is the relationship of each of the variables of nutritional status, namely between BB/TB, BB/U, and IMT/U with the use of Emoji Food in children aged 3-5 years in Kubu Village, Kubu District, Kubu Raya District. Suggestions from this study Emoji food can be used as an alternative used in assessing and providing an overview of nutritional status.

Abstract

Street food becomes the most concerned thing that eaten by most of children in the school. The consumption of snack cannot be separated from the danger of the negative impact. It is the proves that education about selecting healthy street food should be given. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of educational visual media with picture card method on knowledge and attitudes of children in the selection of healthy street food. The method used is Quasy-Experiment research study design by pretest-posttest with control group design is to see their influence on the treatment and control groups with measurements before and after treatment using the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test with a significance level of = 0.05. The results showed that there was a significant increase in knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitude (p = 0,000) of children in the selection of healthy street food. The conclusion of this study is educational influence of visual media with picture card method before and after the intervention of the knowledge and attitudes of children in the selection of healthy street food.

Abstract

The importance of knowing the nutritional status of mothers before pregnancy can improve nutrition problems that will be sustainable in infants will be born. The risk of SEZ in women of childbearing age (WUS) has an impact on infants with LBW so that it will increase the number of malnutrition in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge, attitudes, energy and protein intake to the risk of chronic lack of energy (SEZ) in women of childbearing age (WUS) in Hibun Village, Sanggau District. This type of research is an observational study with a cross-sectional study design with a purposive sampling technique, the number of research samples is 70 respondents with criteria aged 18-35 years both those who have given birth and have not and are not pregnant. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test with a confidence level of 90% (α = 0.10). The results showed that there was a relationship between energy intake (p = 0.009) and SEZ risk in women of childbearing age and there was no relationship between knowledge (p = 0.196), attitudes (p = 0.226) and protein intake (p = 0.483) with SEZ risk in women of childbearing age in Hibun Village, Sanggau District. There is a relationship between energy intake and the risk of SEZ in women after fertility. There is no relationship between knowledge, attitudes and protein intake against the risk of SEZ in women after fertility. The need for counseling on SEZs for WUS to increase knowledge carried out at posyandu is carried out by health workers and cadres carried out periodically and continuously

Abstract

In 2010 Coverage of infants aged 0-6 months received exclusive breastfeeding in West Kalimantan only 11.93% while the target was 65% (DHO Prov. Kalbar, 2011) and in 2010 the coverage exclusive breastfeeding in Pontianak at 22.82 % (health Prov. Kalbar, 2011). Based on traffic data in infants aged 0-6 months at Kampung Dalam subdistrict health center UPK East Pontianak in 2012, of 705 infants aged 0-6 months babies only 207 (29.36%) were breastfed exclusively. From the data above, shows the low level of breastfeeding by the mother to her baby. This is due to many factors related to the practice of breastfeeding to their children. This study aims to determine the factors related to the practice of breastfeeding until the child is two years old at Kampung Dalam subdistrict health center UPK East Pontianak. This type of research is observational method used is survey with cross sectional approach. The number of samples examined 80 samples with research time 4 to 11 July 2013. The primary data obtained directly from the respondent by interview using questionnaires while the secondary data obtained from authorized personnel at Kampung Dalam subdistrict health center UPK East Pontianak. Data analysis was performed through univariate and bivariate analyzes were accompanied by a significance test with a confidence level of 95%. Processing data using a computer program with Chi-Square test. The result showed that there was a significant association between knowledge and practice of breastfeeding until the child is two years old at Kampung Dalam subdistrict health center UPK East Pontianak. There is no significant relationship between maternal employment, previous breastfeeding experience and condition of the breast at Kampung Dalam subdistrict health center UPK East Pontianak. Local health authorities are advised to provide information / education by using media to more effectively about breastfeeding, especially the practice of breastfeeding until the child is two years old.
