Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the long-term Role Playing technique to the alumni of the Al Islam Bandung Polytechnic (PAIB), especially alumni of Hospital Administration Study Program students. The study was conducted for five months from July to November 2019. The research method used in this study was a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques, because the domicile of the alumni are scattered in many places far apart, then to facilitate the collection of questionnaires through a Google form that is distributed through the WA alumni network, Facebook and Instagram. In addition, a Focus Group Discussion was held on 20 alumni, as well as interviews with five alumni located in Garut, Tasikmalaya, Depok, Soreang and Bandung. The results of the study show that role play for alumni fosters group cohesiveness and class solidity. Students who have more proficiency in English help other students who have difficulties, both in memorizing dialogue, practicing reciting and preparing the stage set, so that students are able to express their feelings in role play and are able to reduce their nervousness when performing.

Abstract

The limited sources of English for Specific Purpose textbooks relating to Radiology that is suitable for radiology study program students in Indonesia become a challenge for English language lecturers at Politeknik Al Islam of Bandung. To anticipate the limited ESP teaching materials, researchers conducted a study on an English radiology textbook by using a linguistic corpus as a tool for obtaining radiological vocabularies as well as grammar and word classes features used in the textbook. This study used a mix method combining quantitative method applied at the beginning of the study and qualitative method used in the analysis process to draw conclusions. The results showed that there were 12,395 different words used in the textbook with a total number of words including repeated words as many as 428,117 words. These words were classified into noun, verb, adjective, and adverb classes as well as abbreviations and others. Generally, results of the analysis showed the use of active and passive sentences, tenses including simple present, present continuous, past, present perfect, auxiliary verbs, countable and uncountable nouns, and comparative degree. Furthermore, the results will be used to arrange ESP teaching materials in the field of radiology.

Abstract

Os.mandibular body is a lower jaw bone that serves as a place for attaching teeth and shaped like a horseshoe. Based on observations at the hospital during observation at the Central Hospital, DR. M. Djamil Padang has no special examination to show the Os.mandibular body, even though the technique of examining the projection of the Postero-Anterior projection is perpendicular to the Postero-Anterior axial 300chepalad, the mandibular ramus and condyles are more visible. The study aimed to find out the optimal description of the Osiband body by comparing the Postero-Anterior projection perpendicular to the Postero-Anterior axial 300chepalad of the mandibular ramus and the more visible condyles. The type of research used in this study is a type of quantitative research with an experimental study conducted at the Radiology Installation of the Central Hospital DR. M. Djamil Padang on the March - April 2019 by using a sample of 3 patients, then read by 5 respondents and processing data using a table. The results of this study indicate that the average value of perpendicular Postero-Anterior projection is 1.28 because it can display the anatomy of the os.mandibular body looking quite optimal, the image of the mandibular ramus looks quite symmetrical, but it is less able to display the condyles and Mandibular symphysis is good and clear compared to the Postero-Anterior axial 300 chepalad projection with an average value of 1.84 because it is better able to show a clear picture of the condyles and mandibular symphysis looks better and clearer.

Abstract

The nursing work preparation used for cardiopulmonary resuscitation as a treatment of cardiac arrest and breathing conditions divided into physical and non-physical environments. The total of cardiac arrest cases in X Hospital from January-December 2016 was 402 cases. The success of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in hospitals is influenced by working conditions. Preliminary study results obtained some incomplete tools in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure (SPO), the information of difficulty of mobilization during CPR in a certain room and unclear instructions from the CPR leader. The objectives of the research were to identify the nursing work preparation cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the X hospital. The study method was a quantitative used cross-sectional approach, with a total sampling subject. The results showed that almost all (89,8%) of a physical preparation at the In-patient Room of X Hospital fulfilled in accordance with the procedure of X Hospital. Some respondents (58,3%) nurses have good non-physical preparation at the In-patient room of X Hospital. Researchers suggest checking and managing emergency trolleys, improving organizational communication.
