Abstract

An important area in the company is the operational field that ensures business operations to improve the company's operational performance over a certain period. The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual model for further research on the effect of superior management support and coffee introduction technology to improve company operational performance. Operational performance refers to the company's capability, which is indicated by the aspects of cost, production volume, fulfilment of demand, customer handling, process control and quality. A number of data will be required and collected in this study to test the existing hypothesis models. The data were collected using a questionnaire that was distributed directly to individual workers in the company with positive questions on a 6-point measurement scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree. Data processing will be carried out using the SEM-AMOS method. One of the results of operational performance is customer focus, which is the orientation of a series of services provided to customers to improve customer satisfaction. The mechanism for eliminating waste and creating added value for the company is process control and improvement at every stage of the process in the company. The results of this study present a conceptual model for further research with the aim of knowing the effect of superior management support, consumer focus, and process control, and coffee introduction technology on the operational performance of CCT companies in Timor-Leste.

Abstract

Today’s mobile gadgets are seamlessly incorporating innovative features demanded by the users. Most often, the applications contain bugs or functionality issues reported by the customers. The developers are responsible for reproducing such reported bugs, which are written in natural languages. Reproducing bugs from bug reports make the bug resolution inefficient. Nowadays, various methods are adopted to reproduce crash reports for android applications. But bug reproduction for non-android applications is still a challenging task. This paper proposes a novel approach that is capable of doing bug reproduction from bug reports to help the developers to solve the functionality issues of non-android applications in an automated manner. This approach uses a UI tester called the GUI engine, which is an excel sheet. The use cases which are to be tested can be filled in the GUI engine. All the use cases are to be filled based on a particular syntax. For that purpose, the developer can make use of a set of yaml files containing all the GUI information for all the screens of the application under test. The use cases are executed in the GUI engine and conclusions are made based on the test result. The GUI engine displays two colors green and red showing the working and failing of GUI components of the application under test. So that the developer can easily identify the failing components and take actions accordingly. The test has been done with more than 1000 test cases for one region and the result shows that almost all GUI components work for this method except for animation. It has tested for software developed for US, Europe, and German regions. Also, the proposed method is found to be much faster and efficient than the existing as well as manual testing methods.

Abstract

Teacher performance evaluation is a common method and often used for evaluates teaching quality in higher education. With the rapid growth of opinion mining technique. Aspect-based opinion mining application has been possibly employed to extraction and summarization of students' comments for teacher evaluation. However, to automated teacher evaluation features identification from a large number of students' comments collection is very hard work. This study has the goal to address this problem. The main objectives of the proposed method are: (1) to identify teacher evaluation aspects, (2) to compare the efficiency of dictionary based, patterns based and the combination of them, and (3) to enhance the accuracy result in the teachers’ evaluation aspects identification from the unstructured text of students' feedbacks. The students' feedbacks were collected by questionnaires and the dataset was constructed manually with a total of 4,496 sentences from 300 undergraduate student responses in 10 subjects by purposive sampling and the collection of positive and negative sentences from 30 participants group interviewed in the workshop. Both approaches were applied to identify the frequency teachers' evaluation aspects. The experimental results found that our proposed approach provided reasonably more accurate results, the combination approach enhanced a significantly average of precision and recall. For future work, we focus on the application of new linguistic patterns and non-frequency aspects in order to increase the accuracy result

Abstract

Fluctuating and uncertain demand is a problem faced by manufacturing firms. The problem can be mitigated by the availability of inventory systems. This inventory serves to ensure the availability of appropriate resources in the right quantity and at the right time, so as to minimize the costs incurred. PT. Transplants Indonesia is a company engaged in the business of chrysanthemum flower in Indonesia. PT. Transplants Indonesia is a subsidiary of Okinawa Flower Agricultural Cooperative Association (OKF) in Okinawa, Japan. The purpose of this company establishment is to meet the demand of farmers who are members of the OKF.  In the case of backorder, on Q method with probabilistic request the size of the lottery (Q) is always fixed for every time the order is made and the order is made if the amount of inventory has reached a certain level (r) called the reorder point. In method P with probabilistic order requests made according to a fixed interval of time (T) and the ordering does not exceed the maximum inventory limit (R). Total Inventory cost incurred by the company using the method used by the company amounted to Rp.74.995.360,84. The inventory model using the Q method generates a total inventory cost of Rp.70.253.291,46. Meanwhile, inventory model using P method resulted in total inventory cost of Rp.71.529.327,17. So economically, the selected inventory model is the inventory model with the Q method which has a lower total inventory cost value than using the P method.

Abstract

Residential high-rises are unique properties that differ from landed properties such as bungalows or terrace houses. They are unique insofar as, after the properties have been occupied, facilities must be jointly managed by residents. The continuous growth of high-rise residential buildings specifies that there is a need for effective ownership and property management system to instill a valuable living experience among high-rise residents in this country. Looking at this scenario, this research takes an initiative to develop a mobile application that supports streamline information with assistive features to improve communication and information sharing for high-rise residential management in Malaysia. This aim is achieved by answering three research objectives, including identifying user requirements, designing the application prototype and developing the artefact and evaluating the artefact. The study was conducted together with LT Sdn Bhd, the property management company responsible in managing and maintaining property related matters of Seroja Apartment. An adopted conceptual framework for property management based on the sustainable indicator dimensions for property management and applicable features from existing mobile application to develop the artefact has been proposed. The conceptual framework was proposed based on literature review and nature of work observed on site. Lastly, the study successfully validated the proposed adopted framework against the artefact, the MyLT mobile application.

Abstract

In few decades, the development of information system has been increased rapidly. It is because most organization in various sector of industries, commerce, government, or even education become highly dependent on the use of the information system. This study aimed to design the application that will facilitate the activities in organization based on what user needs. The object of this study is student affair department in one of faculty in one of the universities in Indonesia. The method employed in this study to design the system is waterfall method. The system designed in this study is the focus for the activities related to student organization activities. The result of this study is there are eight dimensions quality that has to be fulfilled by the system according to the result of focus group discussion and Delphi method. The system designed in this study was adjusted to the needs that have been defined previously.

Abstract

PT. OPQ is a company engaged in the automotive manufacturing industry. The company produces bolts for the safety area, it is related to the lower body of the four-wheeled vehicle. PT. OPQ was established in 2014 and today has already been the supplier for several major automotive companies in Indonesia. The demand of PT OPQ that must be fulfilled is increasing as the amount of consumer is increasing too. Due to the high demand, so the raw material stockout occurs. This make the company's service level is below the standard. This study involved 48 sku of material raw materials that have normal distributed demand. Inventory policy applied in this research is periodic review (R, s, S) with the aim to minimize total cost of inventory and improve service level of company. The result of this research was found to decrease total inventory cost by 15% with the value of existing inventory cost Rp1.100.879.479,- to Rp 936.061.349,- . In addition, service level at PT. OPQ has increased with the value of existing conditions 85% to 99%.
