Abstract

Making effective learning media is needed in the delivery of material, one of which is e-module. E-modules can assist in delivering material to students. The purpose of this research is to find out the e-module developed on Matlab-based kinematic physics using Flip Builder. The research was carried out in the Odd semester of 2021/2022. The method used in this research is the R&D method. The steps of the research development process from Borg and Gall. In this study, we have only arrived at the initial field testing step. The stages in this research are in the form of collecting material information in the form of teaching materials, planning, developing initial products, and ending with the provision of teaching materials ending with the Matlab kalfis e-module on kinematics material. The results of the learning module in the form of a flipbook that has been made using the flip builder can be used in bold learning on motion physics material, especially kinematics material because it looks attractive and can be developed further in learning. It is also very easy to use.

Abstract

One indicator of teaching and learning success is the academic achievement of the students. There have been many efforts made by previous researchers and policymakers to help improve students' academic abilities, often with the development of digital technology today. The study aims at examining the influence of digital literacy and control variables on academic achievement. The sample size used as many as 134 students of SMA Negeri 5 Tangerang Regency and simple random sampling as a sampling technique. As for determining the sample size utilized the Krecjie & Morgan table (sampling error 10%). We distributed questionnaires using google forms through student WhatsApp groups and have been tested for validity and reliability. Analysis of the data used was descriptive causality. The author utilized a multiple linear regression model for his testing. The results showed that digital literacy contributes significantly to improving academic achievement. The higher the digital literacy of students, the more the average trend of academic achievement increases. The findings of this study contribute to science, particularly the field of education, and help students to have good attitudes, behaviors, and morals in utilizing digital developments both inside the school and outside the school.

Abstract

This study aims at finding out and describing the influence of academic supervision and teacher professional allowance on teacher performance. This study uses quantitative method of correlational research. The population is taken from 218 teachers from SMA Negeri Sub Rayon 04 and 05 Kab. Oku Timur, South Sumatra Province. Research samples are 66 people with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques using questionnaires conducted in October 2020. The data was analyzed using correlation and double regression techniques. The results showed that: (1) there is a significant influence of academic supervision on teacher performance; (2) there is an influence of teacher's professional allowance on teacher performance; (3) there is a positive and significant influence of academic supervision and teacher professional allowance on teacher performance. That means the implementation of academic supervision and the provision of teacher professional allowances can improve teacher performance.

Abstract

The internet of thing’s centered 4.0 technology revolution changed the face of education. It also encourages the occurrence of decoupling phenomenon. This is when the education can be done everywhere and anywhere. With the challenge, the change becomes inevitability when the world is confronted with a pandemic Covid-19. Descriptive quantitative analysis in this study examines student’s perceptions in the Faculty of Language and Arts Indraprasta PGRI University about the conditions, situations, and event during the online learning. The number of samples in this study were 170 active student’s  of the bachelor first class program of Indonesian Language Education school year 2020/2021 which has a special English courses during online learning due to pandemic.The data collections thecnique used is questionnaire throught Google form. The results of the study also showed that 98% of lecturers' perceptions of competence were positive, which means that lecturers' competences are believed to have a positive and significant influence either partially or simultaneously and 95.9% of perceptions of facilities and infrastructure also showed positive results, which means that students believe that aspects of facilities and infrastructure are one of the elements. That affects the learning process and outcomes.

Abstract

Social studies education in elementary schools is applied by taking into account the characteristics of students' thinking abilities which are still overall. Social studies education as a way of education is applied to the form of subjects applied in the educational curriculum. Social studies learning in elementary school consist of several social science concepts, one of which is history. However, during the current pandemic, online learning, students tend to be individualistic because the ongoing learning process is less monitored and students only accept and do assignments, so that they are not enhanced in aspects of skills and attitudes such as collaboration and communication, so learning can be said to be less effective. In this way, it is conducted research using a literature study method by reading research results and observations at elementary schools in Bandung in 2021 such as reviewing direct learning. In the current conditions there are results that the methods applied by teachers, are important to influence the learning process and outcomes. One of them is to overcome these problems by using the right one according to the needs of students and combining it with the application of the characteristics of 21st century learning, namely 4C to adjust the situation of students and the skills that students need to master. So this paper discusses the importance of learning and the application of 21st century learning social studies in elementary school.

Abstract

One of the mathematical abilities that students must have is the ability to count. The prerequisite in learning mathematics is learning to count, both of which are interconnected in supporting mathematical abilities. This study aims to improve students' numeracy skills and efforts to grow students' interest in mathematics. One of the solutions to the problem of mathematical arithmetic abilities is the Trachternberg method. If the rules of the Trachternberg mathematical method have been mastered then the calculations can be simple and fast in solving them. Classroom action research was used in this study, the approach was a quantitative and qualitative approach divided into 3 learning cycles. The research was conducted in November 2019 at SMPIT Ruhama Depok with a sample of 20 students. The results of the application of the Trachternberg method were an increase in students' numeracy skills and interest in mathematics; this was indicated by the percentage of interest of 80.09%, the percentage of completeness of numeracy skills of 75% with an average value of 77.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are high-level thinking skills that must be developed in schools. These skills need to be trained through the use of learning models that bring students closer to real experiences in the surrounding environment, so that students become more active and able to think critically, one of which is applying the indigenous knowledge-based GDL model. This study aims to train students' critical thinking skills through the application of the indigenous knowledge-based GDL model. The subjects of this study were 108 students consisting of class XI IPA 4, XI IPA 5, and XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda for the academic year 2020/2021 which were selected using a purposive sampling technique. This research is classified as quantitative research with a pre-experimental research design type one-group pretest-posttest design. The critical thinking skills test instrument was 5 essay questions composed of 5 indicators. The results of the analysis of critical thinking skills show that the average critical thinking skills of class XI science students at SMAN 5 Samarinda were in the medium category with an n-gain of 0.53; the mean effect size of 5.17 belongs to the large category; statistical test results (? = 5%) which showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills after the application of the indigenous knowledge-based GDL model. Based on this, it can be said that the indigenous knowledge-based GDL model is effectively used to train students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Physics is a science that deals with practice. In practicum, it is necessary to be supported by teaching materials, one of which is a practicum guide. Practicum is a learning strategy that allows students to empirically train cognitive, psychomotor, and affective abilities simultaneously by using laboratory facilities. The guided inquiry-based practicum guide is expected to help students in practicum. The purpose of this study is to analyze the beginning and end to design a guided inquiry-based practicum guide. The R and D development model used is the ADDIE model, namely the needs analysis stage, one of which is the front end analysis. This type of research is qualitative research which includes descriptive research. Data collection techniques were a questionnaire. The research was conducted at the University of Riau. The results of the research are lecturers have good teaching performance but need to find a practical guide so as to create a student-centered learning. The practicum guide is prepared based on a needs analysis, namely practicum facilities need to be designed in accordance with the practicum objectives.

Abstract

Mathematical problem fixing capability is one of the factors in attaining the desires of arithmetic education. Problem solving is the management of a problem using a method as a result of which it succeeds in finding the desired goal. Innovative learning is expected to increase mathematical problem-solving skills and be able to form students excited in learning. In the learning process using nht learning examples and STAD learners are actively involved. This study aims to find out the differences in students' mathematical problem-solving skills through nht and STAD type cooperative learning models. This research is experimental. The samples on this experimental were students of SMP Darussalam which consisted of 2 classes with 35 students in each class. The results of the study discovered that there are differences in students' mathematical problem-solving skills through nht and STAD type cooperative learning models. Both examples are effectively used in the learning of linear equations.

Abstract

This research aims at finding out the role of one of the MBKM programs, namely Student Exchange in the development of competencies / skills of graduates of Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang University. The MBKM program was born so that universities no longer put together, equalize and integrate between the fields of education and job training and work experience, but more broadly towards real experiences for students. This real experience will certainly enhance the competence / skills of students so that they will become graduates who earn a decent income according to the first point of Main Performance Indicators. This research is carried out in 2021 using quantitative methods. The subjects of this study were all students (population survey). Data is collected through the SPADA Dikti Survey and analyzed with frequency tabulation. Research results as many as 60% of students choose the Student Exchange program, as many as 60% of students stated that there was an increase in soft skills well after participating in MBKM activities, as many as 74% of students stated MBKM activities for universities according to the needs of graduates in the future, 91% of students expressed interest in the MBKM program.
