Abstract

Abstract The nature of entrepreneurship for youth is basically identical with the one that has been widely practiced by the adults. Extent literatures suggest that the concept of youth entrepreneurship lies in the social benefit of wealth creation through the application of innovative thinking and execution to meet customer needs, using one’s own labour, time and ideas. Several factors such as age, level of maturity and intellectual differentiation are also considered to differentiate the entrepreneurship pattern in between youth and adult entrepreneurs. Thus, two major points need to be taken into further consideration: how the entrepreneurship is taught and how it is learned. These initiatives will project significant contributions for the youth, not only providing them with sufficient knowledge and skills toward becoming the next world class business actors but also embedding them with moral and business ethics values in the establishment of the natural ethical entrepreneurs. Keywords: Business Ethics, Social Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship Education, Ethical Entrepreneurs

Abstract

Abstract Increased ability of teachers to develop multi-media learning media in particular is a demand professionalism of teachers today. The success in the learning process in the classroom can not be separated from the ability of teachers in designing learning. But in the first SMP Muhammadiyah only one teacher who can design using multi-media learning. Therefore, the learning process is perceived by the students become monotonous. Through science and technology program for the Community (IbM), Institute of Community Services team at Medan State University conduct training activities for teachers in designing multi-media-based learning using Camtasia. Coaching is done using the method of training and mentoring oriented instructional design project each teacher trainee. The success of the activities is based on an indicator of increased teacher's knowledge-based multi-media Camtasia, project success rate, and the impact felt by the students. Once the activity is completed, the resulting increase in teachers' knowledge gained an average of 40%, while the completeness projeknya is 13 out of 14 participants. While the results projeknya still vary from the simplest to the project that is almost perfect. The impact is felt by students when projeknya used in the learning process 93% of students said he was happy to learn by using multimedia. Keywords: Multi Media, Devotion, Indicators.

Abstract

AbstractMorphological and Molecular of Identification Bactrocera sp. (Diptera: Tephritidae) in 5 Location of Red Guava Crops District Deli Serdang. Fruit flies are a concern in the world because they are an important pest in fruits. Seven species of fruit flies (Bactrocera carambolae, Bactrocera papayae, Bactrocera curcubitae, Bactrocera caudata, Bactrocera albistrigata, Bactrocera tau, Bactrocera umbrosa) have been identified from the morphological identification of fruit flies in LIPI. The fruit fly is obtained from trapping with methyl eugenol, cocoa waste processing, and a mixture of both. Found 2 species of parasitoid (Psytallia sp. near Walker; Psytallia sp. near Walkeri) from the rearing of fruit that was attacked at five locations of red guava plantation district Deli Serdang. Keywords : Bactrocera spp., morphology, atractant, parasitoid

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research was to improve the quality of liquid waste water by looked at the role of test plants (warter hyacinth, water jasmine and apu wood)by phytoremediation process in reducing pollutant level. This research was conducted at Rumah Kaca Faculty of Agriculture University of Sumatera Utara Medan from July 2016 to April 2017.This research was used factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor was tofu waste with three levels; L0 (no waste) as control , L1(25%) and L2 (50%). The second factor was plant species with four levels were T0 (no plant as control), T1 (water hyacinth), T2 (jasmine water) and T3 (apu wood). The parameters observed were BOD (mg / L), COD (mg / L), TSS (mg / L), NH3N (mg / L), pH, waste colours, odor waste and dry weight of plans (grams). The results showed that the three test plants could be used for phytoremediation process, tofu waste, 25% waste concentration as the best apu wood in reducing the pollutant level of tofu waste. Keywords: tofu liquid waste, aquatic plants, phytoremediation, contaminants

Abstract

AbstractOryctes rhinoceros L. has symbioses with micro organisms in their hind guts which further break down plant material consumed by beetle. The aim of this research is to determine the identification of the existence of the bacterial species in the hind gut larvae of the symbiotic bacteria using biochemical test and analysis based on 16S rRNA. The result of this research indicate that there were two different bacterials: Bacillus siamensis and Bacillus stratosphericus found. The bacteria was used for starting the composting and more specifically, the Bacillus siamensis can speed up composting with the end result at C/N 13.16.Keywords: Larvae O. rhinoceros L, Bacterial Symbionts, 16S rDNA, Composting

Abstract

AbstractThe Onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) which is cultivated with the ameliorant can expand its conventional functions as a seasoning to different purposes such as medicines and growth regulator. The purpose of this study is to determine the type and dose of ameliorant which are suitable in improving the productivity of a few varieties of onion (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research was conducted in Labuhan Deli District in the province of Sumatera Utara, Socfindo Laboratory and Final Disposal from February – June 2017. The experiment was carried out using a Randomized Block Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is varieties consisting of 3 varieties (Bima Brebes, Super Philip, and Medan). the second factor are Ameliorant consisting of 5 dose levels (Control (without ameliorant), Biochar 0,4 kg/m2, biochar 0,8 kg/m2, Urban waste compost 1 kg and Urban waste compost 2 kg/m2). Parameters observed ie plant height (cm), Number of tillers per hill (tillers), and fresh weight production per m2. The results showed that varieties factor gave significantly of difference to the urban waste compost aplication 1 kg can increase the production of super Philip varieties onion with total fresh weight production 1203,57 g.Keywords: Onion, Varieties, Ameliorant

Abstract

AbstractThe common problem of livestock is abundant greenery during the rainy season and shortages in the dry season. The condition is bad for the health and productivity of livestock Preservation of animal feed technology is conducted by a team from Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Lampung, in Toto Mulyo Village, Way Bungur District, East Lampung. The purpose of the processing and preservation of forage feed source of fiber is to utilize forage in the rainy season, maintain the quality of forage, overcome the difficulty of forage in the dry season, improve the quality of forage fiber sources that have low nutrient content. Preservation technique is made silage (to maintain the quality of forage), while to improve the forage quality is done by fermentation and amoniation. The activities were carried out with the design of preserved livestock feeding equipment, training on the use and care of targeted farmer groups (Karya Makmur and Jati Diri 6), group management assistance, the handover of the preserved animal feed technology package, and formed a pilot group. The result of community service is a package of livestock feed preservation technology (silage and ammoniasi). Keywords: ammoniation, livestock feed preservation, fermentation, productivity, silage
