Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya partisipasi siswa dalam belajar pada pembelajaran PKn di kelas IV SD Negeri 23 Sungai Geringging baik dalam melaksanakan diskusi, bertanya dan menyimpulkan pelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan karena pada saat proses pembelajaran guru lebih cenderung menggunakan metode ceramah yang berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran PKn dengan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Portofolio di SD Negeri 23 Sungai Geringging.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan dua siklus.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 23 Sungai Geringging. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata skor persentase partisipasi siswa untuk melakukan diskusi sebesar 58,92%, bertanya sebesar 49,80%, dan menyimpulkan pelajaran sebesar 33,92% dan meningkat pada siklus II untuk melakukan diskusi sebesar 84,45%, bertanya sebesar 72,73%, dan menyimpulkan pelajaran sebesar 70,95%.Selain itu hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran PKn dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Portofolio dapat meningkatkan partisipasi belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 23 Sungai Geringging. Saran dalam penelitian yaitu guru dapat menerapkan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Portofolio dalam pembelajaran PKn dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) self regulated learning siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar tinggi, (2) self regulated learning siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar rendah, (3) mengidentifikasi apakah terdapat perbedaan self regulated learning siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar tinggi dan rendah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan jumlah sampel 114 orang yang terdiri dari 57 orang siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar tinggi dan 57 orang siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar rendah. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling dan simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Skala Pengukuran Self Regulated Learning (SPSRL). Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) self regulated learning siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar tinggi secara umum berada pada kategori baik dengan persentase 75,4%, (2) self regulated learning siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar rendah secara umum berada pada kategori baik dengan persentase 71,9%, (3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan self regulated learning siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar tinggi dan siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar rendah.

Abstract

Student’s discipline violation at SMA N X Padang are affected by internal and external  factors.  Findings  in  the  field  showed  that  many  students  broke  the  school’s discipline.  This research  is aimed to describe  internal  and external  factors  that  affected students’ discipline violation and those implications for Counseling and Guidance services. This  research  is  classified  into  quantitative  research  in  descriptive  type.  The  research subjects are 130 students who violate the discipline at SMA N X Padang. The research instrument  is questionnaire.  The findings  of the research revealed:  internal and external factors which affected violation of discipline is at medium category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of learning outcomes through the approach of the method of playing rubber ball in the learning of bullets in students. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The sample from the study was 24 people. The results showed an increase in the cycle, I and cycle II. So it can be concluded the method of playing rubber ball can improve the results of bullet's dumb bullets on students.

Abstract

Implementation of conventional learning is assumed as causing of the lack of students’ motivation. Hence, ability of the fourth grade students at SDN 06 V Koto Kampung Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman in writing essay was low. This research was aimed to improve students’ ability in writing essay by using the concept mapping. Subject of research were the fourth grade students at SDN 06 V Koto Kampung Dalam Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This class action research was held in two cycles. Data of research were obtained through observation and assessment of students’ work including the mapping concept, outline of essay, and whole essay. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Researcher set the standard of students’ learning achievement as 80%. After cycle I, students; learning achievement is 77,34%. Standard of students’ learning achievement was exceeded after cycle II, i.e. 86,36%. The result of research indicates that implementation of concept mapping can improve students’ ability in writing essay.

Abstract

This study is encouraged by the low learning achievement of students grade IV SDN 08 Marunggi in social subject. This study is aimed to improve students’ learning achievement in social subject through implementation of problem based learning model. This is a classroom action research with 32 students of grade IV at SDN 08 Marunggi as the subjects. Instruments of this study include observation sheet of teacher and cognitive test for students. Result of this study shows that students’ cognitive ability for knowledge level increase from 68.18 in cycle I to 76.49 in cycle II. Meanwhile, students’ cognitive ability for understanding level increase from 75.97 in cycle I to 90.15 in cycle II. Hence, problem based learning model can improve students’ learning achievement in social subject.

Abstract

Teaching speaking should be oriented to the vocational purpose at SMK. In reality, many students get problem to speak English and get low learning motivation. This makes them unsuccessful to get the proper jobs. The purpose of this research was to test whether the game can improve students’ speaking skill and their learning motivation at grade one of SMK Negeri 2 Sawahlunto and to find out factors influence the improvement the speaking skill and learning motivation. This research is classified into classroom action research. Data were collected through assessment, observation, and interview. The assessment was used for assessing the speaking; the observation sheet was used for assessing students’ learning motivation and then interview and field note were used for having the further information. The findings of this research have answered the research questions, that the using English game can improve students’ speaking skill and learning motivation at SMKN 2 Sawahlunto. This technique is very useful to improve students’ speaking skill and learning motivation. This technique must be applied at SMKN 2 Sawahlunto, and it is suggested that school with poor speaking skill and low learning motivation to apply and develop this method to overcome their learning English problem.

Abstract

English language proficient has currently becoming a necessary requirement in various fields of study and professions. However, most students refuse to speak in English because they are too concerned in making mistakes, lack of motivation, and low self-confidence. In learning English, attitude and motivation are very closely related. A learner with positive attitude towards learning a language has a high tendency of motivation towards it. Therefore, the main objective of the research was to investigate the correlation between the items of attitude and motivation in spoken English among semester 4 students at Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (PSMZA). The methodology used was quantitative method. This study was carried out using a questionnaire consisted of 70 items adapted from Gardner’s Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) and was distributed to 100 semester 4 students from four departments of PSMZA. The data was analyzed using SPSS. Cohen’s standard was used to evaluate the correlation coefficient, where items with 0.50 or larger were highlighted which represented a strong association. Findings had shown these students’ attitude and motivation towards spoken English had strong correlation with some of the items that helped to boost their motivation in spoken English. These findings indicated the importance of different strategies to be implemented by the English language educators to enhance students’ motivation in communicative English subjects.

Abstract

The importance of group counseling service in solving student’s problem is not demied. The purpose of this research is to reveal the advantage of group counseling service to solve student’s problem in privat, social, and study point of view. Results of this research show that students are agreed with some advantages in group counseling service that are: (1) solving student’s problem in privat aspect which is viewed from self, friendship, family aspects, (2) solving student’s problem in social aspect that viewed from interaction and adaptation with environment, (3) solving student’s problem from study aspect that viewed from aspects of completing tasks, motivation in learning, and god study manners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di dasari dari Pembelajaran IPS yang kurang menarik perhatian dan tidak melibatkan peserta didik menyebabkan mereka pasif dalam belajar sehingga tidak ada keinginan untuk mandiri dalam belajar.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemandirian peserta didik dalam belajar dan pda akhirnya meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.Penelitian ini menggunkan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII.1 yang berjumlah 25 orang  terdiri dari 11 orang laki-laki dan 14 orang perempuan di SMPN 3 Sungai Pua Kab. Agam.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian peserta didik dalam belajar dan meningkatkan hasil belajar mereka.
