Abstract

This research is aims to improve the competence of students in problem solving based in the learning students in problem solving based in the learning topic of electrolit liquid of grade XI TSM of SMKN 1 Bukit Sundi. It was a descriptive research to know and describe the competence of grade XI TSM of SMKN 1 Bukit Sundi. In learning thetopoc about electrolit liquid by using problem based learning approach. The data for this research were gathered from the test, presentation, assignmnet, students activit, students enthusiasm, and students partisipation in group, work discussion, and the students ability in presenting the result of discussion. The findings of this study are: [1].The score of the student activity that is relevant to the topic were increased compare from the circle one to circle two. [2].The score of the students activity is not relevant to the topic were decreased from circle one to circle two.

Abstract

In General, students who are likely to have a positive self concept will behave so socially positive, otherwise. This study aims to look at the description of the concept of self and social behaviour of students as well as revealing how the relationship between the concept of yourself with social behaviour SMK Negeri 6 students in the field. This research is descriptive research korelasional that saw the relationship between the concept of yourself with social behaviour SMK Negeri 6 students in the field. This research sample 84 students. This research instruments such as questionnaires. Abstract

This study is encouraged by the low marks of grade IV students at SDN 25 Batang Anai in Civic Education subject, including do discussion, propose ideas, and make conclusion. It was caused by learning that students used to experience, i.e. expository method. This study is aimed to improve students’ learning participation, especially in doing discussion, proposing ideas, and making conclusion. This is a classroom action research with two cycles. Data were collected through observation and test. Result of this study shows that true or false strategy can improve students’ learning participation. In cycle I, average score percentage of students in doing discussion is 58.92%; 49.80% for proposing ideas; and 33.92% for making conclusion. Meanwhile in cycle II, learning participation gets improvement. Average score percentage of students in doing discussion becomes 84.45%; 77.73% for proposong ideas; and 75.95% for making conclusion.

Abstract

Need analysis is process collecting the information from stakeholder  (Educational Institution and Company) about the learners’ need. Need analysis is needed before the materials are used. It is done to identify the materials needs the students based on stakeholder’s perspectives. It gives us a suitable material for the learners’need and the target need. The aim of this research was to find the English skill most needed for Business materials of Business Administration student at Politeknik Negeri Padang. The type of this research was a survey research.  The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. The sources of questionnaire data were 20 students of Business Administration at Politeknik Negeri Padang, 3 lecturers of Business Administration at Politeknik Negeri Padang, 20 staff of Telkom West Sumatera, and 36 staff of Bank Nagari. The sources of interview data were 2 students of Business Administration at Politeknik Negeri Padang, 3 English lecturers of Business Administration at Politeknik Negeri Padang, 1 chief of Business Administration at Politeknik Negeri Padang, 2 staffs of company at Telkom Sumbar, 6 staffs of company at Bank Nagari. The finding of this research shows that the material needed by learners more emphasized on English skill of students ; speaking, listening, and reading.

Abstract

The lack of participation in learning Social subject of the sixth grade students at SDN 27 Lubuk Alung gave effect on their low learning achievement. This research was aimed to improve the participation in learning and learning achievement of the sixth grade students at SDN 27 Lubuk Alung by implementing the Guided Teaching learning model. Kind of participations concerned with are participation in proposing ideas, participation in answering the teachers’ questions, and participation in asking questions to teacher. Data of research were obtained through observation and post test and were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. In cycle I, percentage of students’ participation in proposing ideas is 34,37% and becomes 78,12% in cycle II. Percentage of students’ participation in answering teachers’ questions is 37,49% in cycle I and becomes 81,25% in cycle II. Percentage of students’ participation in asking questions to teacher is 26,16% in cycle I and becomes 75% in cycle II. In cycle I, percentage of students’ learning achievement is 46,87℅ and becomes 87,5℅ in cycle II. The result shows that implementation of Guided Teaching model can improve participation in learning and learning achievement.

Abstract

Service counseling the group constitute service that helps alleviating the problems who experienced by the learners  so  that  is  reached  developments  who  optimal.  Reality  on  the  ground  that  the  proces implementation counseling services the  group have not been effective in  helping  alleviating the  problems student.The aim of this research describe students' opinions about the implementation of counseling services group be seen from time the implementation, stage the implementation, the role of  group leader, the role members of the group and the achievement objectives counseling services the group. Types of descriptive research, with the findings the research, opinions students about the implementation of counseling service group in SMAN 6 Padang runs with well.

Abstract

This research is based on the  lack of students’ learning outcomes,  which is influenced by the academic stress. The purpose of the study is to describe the academic stress, students’ learning outcomes, and the identification of the relationship between academic stress with students’ learning outcomes. The study showed that the  students’ in general academic stress are in middle category, and generally students’ learning outcomes are in the sufficient category, there is a significant relationship between academic stress with student learning outcomes. The implications of the study are expected to provide counseling teacher guidance and counseling services that are preventive against academic stress and improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Domestic Violence is defined as any act against someone, especially women, misery or suffering physical, sexual, psychological, and / or negligence of household including threat to commit acts, coercion or deprivation of liberty unlawfully in the domestic sphere, which includes physical violence, psychological violence, sexual abuse and neglect household. In addition to alleviating the problem through legal means, other things that can be done is through family counseling through experiential approach. Therapeutic family counseling experiential deemed suitable for this case due to various reasons, including this therapy is a humanistic, promote communication and creativity counselors, using the role of counselor and koterapis, and in accordance with Indonesian culture better not choose the path of law to tackle these cases (for some reason including the desire for the unity of the family, the attitude of shame known to many people and so on)

Abstract

The low learning achievement and learning activities of the fourth grade students at SDN 17 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman for Social subject was an effect of the traditional learning. This research was aimed to improve the learning achievement and learning activities of the fourth grade students at SDN 17 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman by implementing the Make a Match learning model. Data of research were obtained through observation and post test. Data of research were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. In cycle I, percentage of students’ learning achievement is 61,70% and becomes 73,52% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the percentage of students’ learning activity is in cycle I is 63,11% and becomes 80,81% in cycle II. The result of research shows that implementation of Make a Match learning model can improve learning achievement and learning activities of the fourth grade students at  IV SDN 17 Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are low and not optimal is a common problem that occurs in adolescents in almost all schools in Indonesia. One reason, teachers are less than optimal in accommodating student learning styles. This text tries to offer an alternative that teachers can do, especially BK teachers / counselors, to introduce learning styles using very easy-to-create applications using the google form application and utilizing social media for socialization. This paper only provides a brief description, so for the future need further research and follow-up.
