Abstract

One application is the refrigeration system to cool freshness of the fish so that the fish can survive longer. An engine coolant is used to store and cool fish called cold storage. While the special machine used to freeze fish quickly (1-2 hours) is called Air Blast Freezer (ABF). The purpose of freezing the fish in the ABF is to inhibit the growth of microorganisms that exist in fish that could not breed, then the fish is stored and further chill in cold storage. Cold storage and ABF is in Cirebon spend huge electricity costs when the number of fish average - average stored in cold storage is less than 1 ton per day. To that through this thesis the author seeks to examine and find solutions to these problems.How that is done to be able to analyze the problems of the first was to measure and quantify the performance of the existing cooling system. Then compare it with the cooling load conditions as a result of the heat is transmitted to the evaporator. Because if the load is too large cooling will also result in a heavy compressor work and result in large power consumption as well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of products in CV. Cavra Perkasa and to reduce product defects in CV. Garva Perkasa at the time of production. CV. Gavra Perkasa is a company engaged in the industry of building goods made of wood. The products produced are wood flooring, woodwork for building materials (E4E / E2E), handrails, staircases (turning), door frames, and floors with decking. There are seven main quality control tools that can be used as a tool to control quality, among others: check sheet, histogram, control chart, pareto diagram, causal diagram, scatter diagram and various processes. There are three types of damage that occur in turning processed wood products namely Monocular / Perforated, Middle Broken, and Moldy damage. The biggest damage is the edged / perforated damage with a total damage percentage of 47.19%, the disability of wood products in the middle rupture is 30.55% and the lowest value of disability results is 22.24%. So that the total percentage of damage is 13481.

Abstract

Sistem perpipaan adalah suatu sistem yang komplek, pada saat perancangannya banyak aspek-aspek yang perlu diperhatikan dan dipertimbangkan sehingga diperoleh suatu rancangan sistem perpipaan yang baik dan efisien. Dalam Skripsi ini akan dibahas mengenai analisis tegangan sistem perpipaan di proyek x  pada line no 0C27LBA01-14”-AD20 BR001, 0C27LBA01-14”-AA20 BR005 dan 0CSGLBA01-18”-AA20 BR001 yang mana fluida yang mengalir pada pipa mengalami fluktuasi pada pressure dan temperatur setiap harinya dan diperlukan analisis perhitungan tegangannya untuk memastikan jalur pipa yang telah terpasang dan tumpuan pipa yang diletakkan tepat pada tempatnya sehingga tegangan (stress) yang terjadi tidak melebihi limitasi besaran maksimal tegangan yang sudah diatur oleh code/standar ASME B31.1. Hasil analisa perhitungan tegangan akibat beban Sustain maksimum berada pada node 180 pada program CAESAR II sebesar 564,2 Kg/cm² dan perhitungan manual sebesar 327,3 Kg/cm² dengan deviasi perhitungan sebesar 41,99%. Untuk perhitungan tegangan akibat beban Ekspansi maksimum berada pada node 149 pada program CAESAR II sebesar 1079,3 Kg/cm² dan perhitungan manual sebesar 791,98 Kg/cm², dengan deviasi perhitungan sebesar 26,71%. Nilai beban Sustain dan beban Ekspansi dengan dua metode perhitungan tidak ada yang melebihi batas tegangan yang diizinkan code/standar ASME B31.1,dan akibat fluktuasi fluida dari segi pressure dan temperatur yang mengakibatkan pipa mengalami perubahan yang tidak menentu setiap harinya maka pada node 180 perlu dipasang support yang lebih fleksible sehingga dapat mengikuti perubahan pipa tersebut,  sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem perpipaan di proyek x tidak terjadi overstress dan aman untuk beroperasi.

Abstract

HVAC system ( Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning ) is a system that serves to organize temperatures and humidity the air on a room , that feels comfortable condition. In redesigned system HVAC to 8 floors office buildings , by using CLTD method ( cooling load temperature difference ), where the state of temperature design at 73,4 and 50% moisture. Existing cooling load 8.880.000 BTU/hr and air supply existing of 264.180 CFM. Redesigned calculation of cooling load is 11.626.701 BTU/hr ,where there is increased by 30.9 %, and obtained needs air supply of 343.456,73 CFM and increased by 30 %. Chiller system installation at the building using air cooled chiller , existing chiller using four chiller units of 250 tons refigerant each and one units for back up. Based of calculation obtained chiller capacity is 969 tons refrigerant, so that four units chiller available must in operates with 17 Air Handling Unit (AHU) to be optimum cooling,with dimension ducting 35 in the largest and smallest 9,5 in.

Abstract

Metode pengukuran beban kerja mental meliputi metode objektif dan subyektif. Metode pengukuran beban kerja mental secara subyektif yang banyak diaplikasikan di Indonesia adalah NASA TLX (Task Load Index). NASA TLX adalah pengukuran subyektif yang bersifat multidimensional (multidimensional scalling) yang relative membutuhkan waktu dalam aplikasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur beban kerja mental tenaga medis, dalam hal ini mahasiswa Jurusan Keperawatan FIKES UPN Veteran Jakarta  pada proses injeksi dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran NASA TLX. Dengan diketahui beban kerja mental ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat untuk merumuskan tindakan-tindakan yang diperlukan untuk menguranginya. Nilai rata-rata NASA – TLX didapatkan hasil sebesar 80.1, dimana nilai skor > 80 yang menyatakan bahwa beban kerja mental proses injeksi pada mahasiswa merupakan pekerjaan yang berat

Abstract

Radiator is one of heat exchanger applications that has a function to remove out of heat must be able to operate properly forallowed engine temperature limit. Vehicles that operate on the street usually driving with varying rpm so that the heat produced by the combustion process is not constant and then this study analyze the performance of radiators as a function of time (transient condition). Tests is done on the condition of operating the engine with five rpm variations, each for one hour with air conditioning load and without air-conditioning load. Thedata to be collected includ the inlet and outlet temperatureof radiator and radiator fluid volume flow. The results obtained is heat exhausted rate as a performance radiator is increasing as with increasing of engine rpm and at load conditions with the AC produces heat exhausted rate is greater than AC without AC load. The heat exhausted rate in an hour of machine operation still shows the system operates at a transient condition due to there still exists a numerical increase in the heat exhausted rate as a function of time.

Abstract

Garbage is a part that can not be separated from human life, garbage is an item that is wasted or discarded, and is often regarded as something that is not useful. Garbage is also a major problem, especially in big cities. Trash negative impact on the environment, because the waste can lead to environmental pollution, disruption of cleanliness, safety and health. The objectives of this study were (1) identify the state of the art paradigm of organic waste by burning, (2) designing the incinerator simple as one alternative to appropriate technology and is equipped with a system of utilization of the heat produced, (3) gives a solution to the waste problem so it is useful to reduce the waste generated in landfills while, and (4) examine the performance of the incinerator that has been designed. The method of planning the incinerator is divided into (1) the design of the product, (2) the design process, and (3) engineering design, (4) a manufacturing process or manufacture tools, and (5) testing tool. The incinerator is designed in accordance with the planning, the construction of the incinerator is made of a metal plate with a thickness of 3 mm, the dimensions of the combustion chamber is the outer diameter of 350 mm, an inner diameter of 290 mm, and 410 mm high combustion chamber. Organic waste burner is capable of burning organic waste as much as 28 Kg/hour. Garbage burning rate of 9.33 Kg/h, the air discharge design results obtained at 0.0173 m3/sec.

Abstract

Needs installation of cathodic protection to prevent corrosion of the ship in the sea water medium is a must so that the ships can be used as long as possible, but the effectiveness is very limited lifespan sacrificial anode that time should be right on time. For the replacement timing becomes important to do, hull plate is first exposed areas of sea water. In this area of the hull bottom water or top area of water exposed to corrosion range. Corrosion of hull plates can lead to decline in strength and service life of ships, reducing the ship's speed and reduce safety and security of cargo and passengers. From the calculation of the aluminum anode needs indicated that there is a difference between the life of the anode replacement is supposed to 5.25 years. The number of victims aluminum anode required to ship the object of the research is based on the calculation is 12 pieces (± 44.2 kg), lower than the number of anode installed in the field about 24 pieces (108 Kg). So the amount of victims aluminum anode mounted on General Cargo Ship in the field is redundant with past-year use of 5.25 while the turn is done for 3 years. For the owners of the ship, you should use zinc or magnesium anode victim since both of these materials have an efficiency of 95 % compared to aluminum, is only 50 %.

Abstract

The ships construction system must be hold against the inside force of ship although the outside force of ship. The inside force of ship come from the the force of ships lightweight components, and the force ships deadweight components. While the outside force of ship come from the sea water wave and the air flow against the ships hull when the ship is sailing. Abstract

Computerized information system is neededs to help the Dikjar Unit to ease business processes at Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta to input data. Therefore, it is necessary to design information systems that can support the process. As for tools and construction techniques used in this design, such as flowchart, data flow diagram (DFD) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). And use of software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic 2013 as a tool for designing programs based on web, Microsoft Excel 2013 as the database that will connect with the program designed. This research was limited to only discussing about the design and internal running test. The real appliying on the Dikjar Unit will be discuss on next period of this jurnal. The end result of this research is a web-based application program that used to perform data entry preceptor of thesis and work practice, which are able to assess the performance of the Dikjar's Unit completion time.
