Abstract

The term incarnation is used to illustrate how God humbled Godself by tranforming Himself into a human being like the believers so they can comprehend the Kingdom of God. As Cristians, we are invited to actualize the Kingdom of God in our everyday life. We are called also to promote the Kingdom of God to all creatures especially those who are poor, hungry, and suffering. “Blusukan”1 as an activity conducted by a priest to go around and come in to the place that is rarely visited or not most people preferred to come is a way to realize the theology of incarnation. With this way, a priest as a shepherd meet the people and get to know them in their real situation. As Jesus - Son of God - who came among the people to save them in the incarnation, the presence of the priests through “blusukan” pastoral strategy become the spirituality of diocesan priest that was expected to answer the needs of the people so that they also experienced the salvation.

Abstract

Indonesia is a nation that seems religious. Place of worship was flooded with a lot ofpeople. Events and holy days of religius became a national event. In the other hand,some times the religious comprehention was halted at the places of worship that wasit. In the national and society life easily we can find people to do things that arecontrary to religious values. Human rights violations and corruption becomes difficultto eradicate. Moral degradation occurs from the level of family, community, societyand state officials. Within communities also repeatedly occurred certain group usereligion as an instrument of legitimacy to the acts of violence driven by a belief in theirown truth as the only truth, and the loss of a sense of respect for those who areconsidered different. Hence people are not so concerned with the behavior that iscontrary to what religion had been teaches, even assume it was not related to faith. Onthe other hand there are people who are aware of the true situation but are powerless,or do not have enough courage to reject it. This is the situation called formalism ofReligious Life. The cause of religious formalism that may arise from the internalreligious teachings, not only from the social structure of society but also of a culturethat is built in this community. The impact of these religious formalism can happen ona personal level, both the social structure and the culture of the society. Therefore, tocounter religious formalism is not enough left to religious leaders, but also thereshould be a joint motion to change the structure and culture of Indonesian society.

Abstract

Katolisisme mengajarkan bahwa “Allah adalah Misteri”. Meskipun Ia Yang “Transenden” itu senantiasa berusaha membuat diri-Nya dapat terjangkau oleh manusia melalui inisiatif kompasionis-Nya dengan berinkarnasi sebagai Allah Putra (mewujud dalam Yesus Kristus), Ia tetap Allah yang “Misteri”. Sebab, Allah dan karya-Nya yang agung, secara mutlak selalu mengungguli segala rumus dan paham insani yang terbatas. Karenanya, umat beriman mengalami kesukaran untuk berinteraksi dan mengalami Dia. Padahal, iman mengandaikan relasi/intimitas dengan Allah yang diimani. Bahkan, untuk beriman dengan mantap, manusia sebagai “makhluk simbolik”, senantiasa membutuhkan berbagai macam instrumen atau sarana yang dapat dicerap secara inderawi, sesuatu yang mewujud (memiliki form). Gereja memiliki sarana pengungkapan “Misteri” itu, yakni liturgi suci. Liturgi, dengan segala artifisialitas sekaligus divinitasnya, menjadi salah satu bentuk/sarana terbaik yang mampu menyentuh “sensus religiosum” umat. Melalui kajian historisteologis atas aspek misteri dalam liturgi yang disajikan dalam tulisan ini, diharapkan bahwa liturgi semakin mampu membantu umat berimanmerasakan dan mengimani benar bahwa Allah itu eksis, imanen, dan sangat mengasihi mereka.

Abstract

Keunikan teologi modern terletak pada perjuangan para teolog untuk mempertahankan lingkaran kesatuan antara agama, budaya dan spiritual serta menguatnya aksentualisasi pada dimensi rasional untuk menjelaskan dan mempertanggungjawabkan isi iman Kristiani. Isi permenungan teologis zaman ini terpusat pada misteri manusia dengan menggunakan filsafat Plato dan Neo- Platonis untuk merumuskan buah permenungan mereka.

Abstract

It is an undeniable fact that the number of young Capuchin candidates whohave not been ordained priests from 2000 to 2012 resign, at their own choice anddecision, from the Capuchin Order of Medan Province. This fact raises thequestion “Why did they withdraw from the Capuchin Order of the Province ofMedan?” To answer this question we used exploratory research and methods ofexit interview and exit questionary. It was found that there is a causalrelationship between the increasingly firm belief in the inability to live celibateand the reason for withdrawing from the Capuchin Order of the Province ofMedan. This finding is useful for finding ways that can help the CapuchinOrder of the Province of Medan be able to monitor early gifts of celibacy orfamily life in candidates, such as when candidates are still in postulancy ornovitiate.
