Abstract

Background - Qualified personnel are one of the most significant things that the firm must hold in order to achieve the desired vision for work productivity. Aim - The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of the work environment, motivation, and work experience on employee productivity at SME Aji Batara Perkasa Mandiri. Design/Methodology - This study necessitates a quantitative approach, with 74 employees serving as a sample. Purposive sampling was employed as a sample strategy. A questionnaire was used to gather data, and the instrument was then assessed for validity and reliability. The requirements test was performed first, followed by the hypothesis test, before completing multiple linear regression analysis. Findings - The study's findings suggest that the work environment, motivation, and work experience all contribute to SME employees' increased productivity during the Covid-19 epidemic. Research implication - The work environment must be examined in order to preserve the comfort and safety of the workplace by adhering to the health protocol regulations. Limitations - The scope of this research is limited to one SME, thus it cannot reflect the situation in other SMEs in the same area.

Abstract

Background – SMEs are very important for a country's economic growth and are recognized as one of the main contributors to economic development, which results in job growth. However, Manding SMEs in Bantul Regency find it difficult to survive in the current economic environment, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This study analyzes the issue of deteriorating performance due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bantul. Aim – This study aims to re-analyze the relationship between Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) and SME business performance. Design / methodology / approach – This research is a census study with the number of respondents as many as 30 UKM Leather Manding in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The method of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The analytical tool used in this research is Partial Least Square (PLS). Results and Discussion - This study has found a positive and significant relationship with each hypothesis. The results of hypothesis 1 in this study found that technology factors were positively and significantly related to SME business performance. hypothesis 2 has the greatest value compared to the variables of technological factors and external environmental factors. hypothesis 3 has a relatively small original sample value compared to technological factors and organizational. hypothesis 4 in this study indicate that the direction of the relationship is positive and significant. hypothesis 5 found that organizational factors affect SME business performance mediated by the adoption of technology 4.0. Conclusion - The results of the research that have been carried out show that the Leather Manding SME in Bantul has SME business performance which is influenced by the adoption of technology 4.0. On the other hand, the adoption of technology 4.0 itself is influenced by technological factors, organizational factors, and external environmental factors. Research implication – Provide direction for SME Kulit Manding in Bantul to strengthen and sustain organizational growth by enhancing and collaborating on SME's distinct image, goals, strategies, and core values as well as facilitating consistent relationships within and outside of ICT interactions in order to compete and excel in the leather craft industry. Limitations – Based on the findings of this study, this study has several limitations, the sample in this study was limited to certain areas, namely Manding, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Although this study establishes a cognitive model of the TOE and SMEs business performance consistent with the theoretical basis used, however, based on theoretical aspects, the study of technology adoption 4.0 in SMEs still provides development opportunities to test the cognitive model TOE and SMEs business performance.

Abstract

Background – Suppliers are business partners who play a significant role in ensuring the availability of supply goods needed by the company. Supplier performance will affect the company's performance; therefore companies need to assess suppliers carefully and sustainably. Supplier assessments should be based on criteria that add current value and future value. Aim – This study aims to select the best suppliers in supplying drug and medical devices in hospitals. Design / methodology / approach – This research approach is quantitative by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis in determining the best quality weight to be selected by Muhammadiyah Hospital based on five criteria, namely price, quality, service, accuracy of delivery, and accuracy of quantity. Findings – Based on the calculation results using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the criteria that got the highest weight were quality with a weight of 0.44, the second order was the price with a weight of 0.34, the third order was the service with a weight of 0.13, the fourth order was the accuracy of delivery with a weight of 0.05, and the last was delivery with a weight of 0.03. While the order of suppliers that get the highest weight is PT. X with a weight of 0.38, the second is PT. Y with a weight of 0.36 and the last one PT. Y with a weight of 0.09. Research implication – Some things that are considered in choosing a supplier are delivery, quality, service, past performance, payment. The goal is none other than to know the best suppliers of hospitals. Limitations – This research has a limit on the number of cases of hospitals managed by Muhammadiyah, it is still very likely to be developed for other government or private hospitals or health clinics.

Abstract

Background – Work productivity is a real result (product) created by individuals or groups. In this situation, the more products produced in less time, the more valuable the productivity level. Work productivity in the organization is one of the goals that must be achieved by every organization. Thus the low productivity of employees will affect the goals of the organization. In the study the low work productivity of employees at the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency. Purpose – The aims of this research are analyze the effect of integrity, career development and the provision of additional employee income on the work productivity of employees at the Pasaman Regency Secretariat. Work productivity is often used by private organizations with the aim of measuring inputs and outputs within the organization. But in this article work productivity is measured in government agencies. Design/ Methodology/ Approach - This research was conducted at the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The total population in this study amounted to 117 respondents. Analysis of research data using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 program as statistical data processing. Finding – The results showed that (1) There is an influence of integrity on the work productivity of employees in the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency (2) There is an effect of career development on the work productivity of employees in the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency. (3) There is an effect of providing additional employee income (TPP) on the work productivity of employees in the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency. (4) There is an influence of integrity, career development and the provision of additional employee income (TPP) on the work productivity of employees in the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency. Conclusion - The leadership of the Pasaman Regency Regional Secretariat must be able to provide encouragement through integrity and career development and be able to provide additional employee income based on the quantity and quality of employee work. Thus the work productivity of employees will be achieved in accordance with the objectives set by the agency. Research Implication – To get good employee integrity at the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency, it is necessary to improve and foster the integrity of good employees. Furthermore, the greater and better career development given at the Regional Secretariat of Pasaman Regency, the greater the work productivity of employees. As well as means that the bigger and better the additional employee income provided, the greater the employee's work productivity. Limitations – The scope of this research is limited to one particular agency, so it cannot reflect the situation of other institutions in the same area regarding integrity, career development and additional employee income.

Abstract

Background – The human resourcess management aims to improve employee performance, so talent management and career development are increasingly important for an organization. Aim – This study aims to examine the effect of talent management and career development on employee performance. This study can contribute to improving employee performance. Design/ Methodology/ Approach - The object of the research is the employees of the Dinas Pertanian Ketahanan Pangan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Bondowoso, amounting to 200 people. Hypothesis testing was carried out by using the SPSS program t test. Results and Discussion - The results show that the talent management variable has a significant effect on employee performance in a positive direction. Career development has a significant effect on employee performance in a positive direction. Conclusion - The conclusion of this study, that the tree hypotheses proposed are accepted, namely talent management has a significant effect on employee performance in a positive direction. Career development has a significant effect on employee performance in a positive direction. Talent management and carrer development has a significant effect on employee performance in a positive direction. Research implications - This research can contribute to organizations on how to improve employee performance through talent management and career development

Abstract

Background - Competition between companies is very competitive to be the best organization must manage human resources and pay serious attention to the behavior, attitudes, and psychological state of employees. The company is expected to only employ competent human resources with a positive work attitude. However, the work-life balance of employees in hotels has not been felt evenly by hotel employees in Surabaya. Therefore, it is necessary to study the factors of work-life balance and work engagement by mediating job crafting for hotel employees in Surabaya. Objectives - To provide empirical evidence related to the direct effect of work-life balance on work engagement, and the indirect effect of using job crafting mediation on hotel employees in Surabaya. Design/method/approach - Quantitative research that is explanatory research is used in this study. A total of 152 hotel employees in Surabaya were used as samples using the purposive sampling technique. The data that has been collected and tabulated is then analyzed using the PLS program. Findings - This study provides evidence that work-life balance has a significant effect on job crafting, work-life balance does not affect work engagement. After that, job crafting influences work engagement. Furthermore, job crafting has a fully mediating role in work-life balance and work engagement. Conclusion - Work life balance can improve work engagement. job crafting is able to mediate between work life balance and work engagement of hotel employees in Surabaya. work life balance allows employees to build a balance between work and family roles. Research Implications - Hospitality management needs to increase work engagement which is much needed for employees in completing their job responsibilities to be better and give their best contribution in achieving organizational goals. Paying attention to the work-life balance of employees between work and family makes employees happy so they are motivated to give their best performance in providing services to hotel guests satisfactorily. Provide support by facilitating employee job crafting to modify the way of working according to the needs of the job. Research Limitations - This research is not free from limitations. This study only examines hotel employees in Surabaya, so further research needs to be carried out in different sectors that have different characteristics. The results of the study which were found to be insignificant between work-life balance and work engagement need further empirical evidence. In addition, it is necessary to further develop factors that affect work engagement, such as work stress and psychological contracts.

Abstract

Background – Changes from the 4.0 era had an impact on human resource management so that this caused problems. This makes every organization must face challenges by conducting experiments and improving management in the field of human resource management. Purpose – The purpose of this study was to analyze the significance of the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance. This study also investigates the role of the connecting variabel of job satisfaction in improving employee performance. Design / methodology / approach – The purpose of this study was to analyze the significance of the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance. This study also investigates the role of the connecting variabel of job satisfaction in improving employee performance. Findings – The results showed that work discipline and work motivation had a significant effect on employee satisfaction. Employee satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance. Indirectly, work discipline and work motivation also have a significant effect on employee performance. Each variabel obtained by the path coefficient shows an indirect effect. Conclusion - Concluded that work discipline, work motivation, and employee job satisfaction have an important role in employee performance. Research implication – The results of this study are expected to be input for Bank BRI Manukan Surabaya Branch Office, especially knowing the effect of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variabel, can be used as learning material and application of knowledge in the field of management, especially in the field of human resource management. and can be an additional reference for further research and as a consideration for organizations facing similar problems. Limitations – Limitations in this study are independent variabels that only use 2 variabels in this study, namely work discipline and work motivation and the number of research respondents totaling 100 respondents.

Abstract

Backround – The existence of human resources will determine the success of the organization. In every company activity, human resources play a major role. Purpose – This research aims at examining and analyzing the impact of communication on employee performance at Hotel My Home Pontianak with motivation as intervenning variables. Design/ Methodology/ Approach – Research method applied is causal approach survey in form of quantitative causal description. Census technic is used to collect the primary data, with repondents as many as 60 employees at Hotel My Home Pontianak. Finding – Secondary data was elicited from Website Hotel My Home Pontianak. Conclusion – The test results of the research shows that communication has positive and significant effect on motivation, motivation has positive and significant effect on employee performance, communication has positive and significant effect on employee performance, motivation mediates the effect of communication on employee performance, direct effect of communication on employee performance stronger than motivation mediates the effect of communication on employee performance. Research Implications - The application of intense and effective communication between management and employees will be able to increase motivation and have an impact on employee performance so that the sustainability of Hotel My Home Pontianak can be maintained. Limitations - Although this research contributes to the field of human resources, there are still limitations that require further research. First, the variables used are limited to communication, motivation and employee performance, even though there are many other variables that can affect employee performance, such as employee engagement, organizational commitment, job satisfaction and so on. Second, the number of samples used is still limited. Third, this research was only conducted on one hotel, so it needs to be done also on other hotels to get maximum results.

Abstract

Background – 7 core subjects of ISO 26000 in Savings and Loans Cooperatives. Because researchers want to know to what extent the ISO 26000 standard has been carried out and applied by savings and loan cooperatives and whether it has met the requirements of the ISO 26000 standard with 7 core subjects in Savings and Loans Cooperatives, and the reason for researching cooperatives in Lamongan and Mojokerto districts is because many cooperatives are threatened failed to according (Beritajatim, 2021). Aim – this study aims to analyze the activities of Savings and Loans Cooperatives and to analyze the implementation of ISO 26000 regarding organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, as well as community involvement and development carried out by Savings and Loans Cooperatives and to analyze the challenges faced by savings and loan cooperatives related to the implementation of ISO 26000, referring to the ISO 26000 standard and To analyze the strategies implemented by related cooperatives in facing the challenges of implementing ISO 26000 and implementation of ISO26000 with sustainable achievement of SDGs. Design / methodology / approach – researchers chose to use qualitative research methods to determine how to find, collect, process and analyze the data from the research. This qualitative research can be used to understand social interactions, for example by means of interviews and in-depth observations so that clear patterns will be found. Based on the research findings, there is no clear SOP so that it can lead to errors in employees and can result in not optimal performance of savings and loan cooperatives. Findings – Lack of supervision in social responsibility towards the implementation of policies and management of cooperative business so there are many obstacles in every cooperative business implementation that is run. Based on the results, there are managerial implications as follows. It is hoped that the savings and loan cooperatives can maintain several core subjects that have been carried out well even though they are not yet optimal, they must be carried out in accordance with the vision and mission, culture and values, core competencies, SOP, Jobdisc, KPI and standardization in all lines of HR, finance, Marketing, Operations and pay more attention to good governance so that good performance can be created. Research implication – It is hoped that the savings and loan cooperatives can create a good governance system so that it can have an impact on the performance of cooperatives to achieve targets and achieve goals. It is hoped that the existence of KSPPS BMT Permata Jatim and the Ben Iman Cooperative will become a Social (Community) Enterprise that can provide social value for the community and to overcome social problems by turning them into solutions with business activities. Limitations – describe your research limitation, the limit that hinder your research to gain more result or the area that you only wish to study.

Abstract

Background – The awareness and massive adoption towards internet has motivated companies to include it into their marketing strategies, such as by using celebrity endorsement and social media use, as this will enable them to increase customer engagement and their purchase decision. Aim – This study investigates the effect of celebrity endorsement and social media use on customer engagement and consumer purchasing decisions. Design / methodology / approach – This research was conducted on consumers of culinary and fashion products of SMEs in West Java Province, with a total sample of 185 respondents. The data was collected using the survey method of distributing questionnaires to respondents. Furthermore, the data obtained were processed using PL S Software-Structural Equation Modeling. Findings – The research results show that: (1) the use of social media has a positive effect on customer engagement; (2) The role of celebrity endorsement has a positive effect on customer engagement; (3) Customer engagement has an impact on purchasing decisions; (4) Customer engagement mediates the relationship between social media use and consumer purchasing decisions, and (5) Customer engagement mediates the relationship between celebrity endorsement and consumer purchasing decisions. Research implication – MSMEs need to understand the important role of the influence of social media in increasing engagement with consumers. The use of celebrity endorsement must also be considered as an important aspect that can encourage consumer engagement. Limitations – This research was specifically conducted on SMEs in the handicraft and culinary industry in West Java. Future studies require to be carried out in different settings to ensure generalizability of the present study.
