Abstract

Perencanaan program penanggulangan kemiskinan di Provinsi Sulawesi Barat melibatkan koordinasi lintas sektor. Sehingga berdampak pada adanya persoalan ego sektoral dalam upaya komunikasi yang terjadi di antara unsur Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi peran, model, jalur penyebaran informasi serta hambatan komunikasi OPD Provinsi Sulawesi Barat dalam mengelola perencanaan Program Marasa. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Relasi antar aktor dalam proses komunikasi antar OPD Provinsi Sulawesi Barat membentuk dua jalur penyebaran informasi yang terdiri dari jalur formal dan informal. Pendekatan komunikasi yang bersifat formal dalam sistem komunikasi pemerintahan OPD Provinsi Sulawesi Barat justru menimbulkan berbagai macam persoalan. Mulai dari sulitnya koordinasi antar lintas sektor, keterbatasan penciptaan ruang komunikasi serta berbagai macam persoalan ego sektoral lainnya. Aktor-aktor yang terdapat di Provinsi Sulawesi Barat kemudian mensiasati hal tersebut dengan menggunakan pendekatan gaya komunikasi yang bersifat informal. Pendekatan ini sedikit banyak mampu mengurangi berbagai macam hambatan yang diakibatkan oleh proses penyebaran informasi yang bersifat formal.

Abstract

Digital PR is a public relations function in the digital era, one of its tasks is to manage social media owned by agencies. Trans Studio Bandung Mosque is one of the mosques that has successfully implemented digital PR management in packaging the social media account Instagram @masjidtrans in an effort to attract public enthusiasm. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach and constructivism paradigm. The results of his research are digital PR TSB Mosque successfully implemented four stages in the concept of four steps of PR namely, (1) Fact finding is done by analyzing the situation, analyzing the target audience and analyzing the media. (2). Planning: planning the goals to be achieved and making tactical planning. (3). Taking action and communication: dividing the type of content according to Instagram features, following up the content of the study to the organizer community, crosschecking content, creating accidental content, making posting strategies on Instagram and performing posting intensity and content packaging. (4). Evaluation: determine assessment indicators and make monthly reports. Digital PR management in packaging da'wah content on the Instagram account of the Trans Studio Bandung Mosque also increases the congregation who attend the presentation or event held at TSB Mosque

Abstract

The implementation of self-service (the application of Human Computer Interaction) and SMS-based message machine (the application of Computer Mediated Communication) at Riau University Library, has changed the way of communication in services, changed infrastructure, and user satisfaction. This study aims to examine the significance of the influence of these two innovations on service quality, as well as user satisfaction at Riau University Library. This quantitative research that using questionnaire instrument was conducted in January to October 2019 with a population of 14,757 people, and a sample of 200 people. The study uses a Structural Equation Modeling approach with LISREL tools. Data analysis uses Confirmatory Factor Analysis, which produces T-values for each correlation tested. The effect between variables is considered significant if the T-values are greater than 1.96 (critical significance value). From the results of the analysis, it was found that the implementation of self-service had a significant effect on service quality (T-values=4.986) and significant on the satisfaction of users (2.875), while the implementation of SMS-based message machines was significant on service quality (2.576), but not significantly on user satisfaction (0.877).

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country full of diversity, and it is united through the motto of the Indonesian people, namely “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”. However, this motto must be maintained by introducing it to children from an early age. The use of technology can be utilized to introduce the motto through children's film animation. One of the Indonesian works who reflects the spirit of pluralism and displays cultural identity, namely Si Entong. The uniqueness shown in the Entong movie is the character of children who come from various ethnic groups and the use of dialect. Relying on the theory of identity negotiation was proposed by Stella Ting-Toomey, the authors' findings in the animated film "Si Entong" were elaborated with Phillip Mayring's qualitative content analysis method. This research rests on an interpretive paradigm to find three main elements of content analysis, including: abstraction, application and structuration. These three stages are identified by the researcher as a reflection of pluralism and cultural identity in the story of " Si Entong".

Abstract

Penulis ingin menjabarkan praktik tiga media online di Indonesia yakni Republika.com, Merdeka.com dan Tribunnews.com dalam menentukan berita di headline terutama pada penentuan nilai berita. Penulis berargumen, seleksi peristiwa/isu pada produksi berita bukan lagi berdasarkan kepentingan sosial publik dan nilai jurnalisme tradisonal melainkan untuk kepentingan attention economy dengan tujuan view, click dan sharing yang pada akhirnya menaikkan keuntungan media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teori ekonomi politik dan perspektif Attention Economy untuk mengungkap pergeseran nilai berita pada jurnalisme online sekarang. Nilai berita sensasional, pemanfaatan media sosial dan data metrik perilaku audiens dalam penentuan konten berita merupakan temuan menonjol yang menempatkan nilai berita sebagai komodifikasi media online nasional.

Abstract

Gender and power related speech patterns have been a focus of communication studies. Women and power used to be in opposite side of each other. On this ground, we were intrigued to investigate whether being a female leader has something to do with defying certain assumed ideals of women speech. This case study was conducted to women leaders engaged in a social community called Pelangi Nusantara. Concerning this study, we focused on the women leaders’ speech to examine the stereotyped-speech-pattern related to the use of hedges and politeness strategies in female speakers albeit holding a high position. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed along with the purposive technique to select the interviewees. Based on the analysis, it is revealed that despite holding a high position in the community, the female leaders mostly showed the stereotyped-speech-pattern through the use of hedges, convergence, and politeness strategies as influenced by their cultural background.

Abstract

This paper examines the issue of gender injustice in the perspective of Giddens structuration. Cases of this injustice rooted in life, especially in the women's division of labor that would likely put back women in the domestic sphere. This issue is certainly inseparable from the influence of the media as an agent who has the power to shape the thinking of the public, and also the role of the people who have the power in shaping social structures. The media has the power to produce and reproduce a discourse. This research is a descriptive qualitative research method and uses Giddens structuration theory in looking at the role of agents in portraying women in the media. This research focuses on the Indosiar cinema program. This research focuses on the Indosiar cinema program. Results from the study showed women still be the object of oppression and women will return to the domestic sphere, the study also showed that women face with a double burden. If she works in the public sphere, she also continues to work in the domestic sphere. The media perpetuates this through the stories that are displayed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the communication competencies of Muslimat and Aisyiyah organization leaders in Surabaya. Research uses descriptive qualitative type. Data collection techniques are done by interview, observation, and document review. Data were analyzed with flow models through the process of data reduction, presentation, conclusion and verification. The results of this study describe that the communication competencies of the leaders of Muslimat and Aisyiyah in coaching members are implemented in the division of tasks and authority that is structured in the organization. Leader communication competence is implemented in formal and informal cadre processes carried out in a controlled manner and based on collective agreements made between leaders and members. The communication model of the leadership of Muslimat and Aisyiyah organizations is characterized by mutual respect for logical and creative decisions from the agreement of organizational members. The supporting factors for the successful communication of Muslimat and Aisyiyah organizations are the collectivity between members, and the inhibiting factors are the boredom and busyness of the members.
