Abstract

Background underlying this study is the importance of communication between teachers and learners because it has a great influence in determining the achievements of learners. The purpose of this study was to determine how the interpersonal communication of teachers and students in junior high school 2 Tapalang. This study uses peneltian procedure Ex Post Facta using descriptive research design. The research subjects are students of class IX is the number of learners 63 people and Indonesian teachers, this research instrument was Questionnaire, observation and interviews. The results showed after the total score divided by the number of respondents (3364: 63 = 53.39) the results obtained was 53.39. Thus, the average total score of 53.39 interpersonal communication teachers and students at the junior high school 2 Tapalang is high or good. Observations and interviews known that Interpersonal Communication between teachers and students in the ninth grade junior high school 2 Tapalang 2015/2016 school year in the category of good / high, so the teacher should keep the pattern of communication with students and continue to strive to establish good relationships with the students first related to communication. Teachers who do not have a pattern of good communication with students, are expected to attempt to establish communication with students more intense. Communication between teachers and students is a form of engagement of both elements in the learning process that takes place.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out whether or not the using of pictures improve student’s ability in writing procedure text at the tenth year students of SMAN 3 Polewali .To obtained the data the writer used pre experimental method with a pre-test and post-test. It is used to show whether pictures improve students ability in writing procedure text or not. The population of this research was the tenth class students of SMA Negeri 3 Polewali in academic year 2014/2015 which consist of four classes (A,B,C,D) and 150 students. This research employs cluster sampling technique because the number of the population was relatively large. The writer chooses 40 students from class B. Based on data anlysis from students writing procedure text by using picture, the data shows that the highest student’s score obtained from the pre-test is 70, classified as good score and the lowest score is 34, classified as very bad score writing skill without using picture of the tenth year students of SMAN 3 Polewali falls into the fair category mean score is 63.15. It means that the using of pictures improve the students’ ability in writing procedure text at the tenth year students of SMAN 3 Polewali because the means score of the post-test 75.22 is higher than the mean score of the pre-test . So, the hypotesis the using of pictures improve the ability in writing procedure text of the tenth year students of SMAN 3 Polewali was accepted.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of Servant Leadership, Individual Characteristics and Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment and Employee Of State Civil Apparatus in West Celebes Provincial Government.The population in this study is the whole apparatus of Civil State (ASN) Government of West Sulawesi province, as many as 2,970 ASN, while samples were taken based on the Slovin’s formul, data was gathered throught distributed the questionnaires as much as 327 to the respondents which were the employees of ASN in the province of West Sulawesi but after a collected the quessionaire the researcher only able to collect about 262 copies and only 253 that can be analyzed, and the other does not allow for further analysis. Data was collected using survey method and analyzed by Likert scale with alternative answers ranging from not agree to Strongly Agree, while the data analized by Structural Equation Modelling version 19. The results of this studies indicate that the Servant Leadership, individual characteristics and organizational culture, organizational commitment in the province of West Sulaweesi get ratings in the high category, while the performance of civilian State Apparaturs is ini Very High category. While the test results prove the hypothesis that: Servant Leadership, individual characteristics and organizational culture significantly influence organizational commitment; Servant Leadership, individual characteristics and organizational culture have a significant effect on performance; and Organizational Commitment significant effect on performance. Thus the results of this study prove that all of the stated hypothesis were accepted.

Abstract

This research is action research ( Classroom Action Research ) which aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes involving metacognition VIIIc grader at SMP 2 Polewali semester of academic year 2010/2011 the number of 34 students . Classroom action research was carried out with 2 cycles , the first cycle comprises 4 meeting and the second cycle consists of 4 meetings . Technique is to use a data collection sheet and the test observation in narrative form at the end of each cycle in accordance with the material being taught . Based on analysis of the data obtained it can be concluded that , qualitatively there are some changes . students showed enthusiasm to attend classes , boldness of expression, response , asking about the material that is not understood to be increased. While quantitatively , an increase in the average score of student learning outcomes VIIIc SMP 2 Polewali is of medium category with an average score of 54.02 after the implementation of the first cycle of action into high category with an average score of 66.17 after the implementation of the Cycle II . From these results it can be concluded that with the implementation of learning that involve metacognition in class 2 Polewali SMP VIIIc in the learning process , the results of studying mathematics , attendance , preparedness and student activity can be increased.

Abstract

The type of this research is descriptive research that aims to determine the ability of students mathematical connections to solve the problem of story form on Triangle and Triangle material in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Majene based on students' early math ability. The subjects of the study were 6 students consisting of 2 students with a high level of early math ability, 2 students with moderate level of math ability, and 2 students with low level of early math ability. The result of the research shows that (1) students with high level of high mathematics ability have high mathematical connection ability, students with high ability level can solve problems and connect them with mathematics, science (other), and daily life well. But there are students who have little problem in solving the problem (2) students with the basic level of mathematics skills have medium math connection ability, students with ability level are able to understand the problem, but have difficulty in solving the problem and connect it with mathematics concept, fields), and daily life. (3) students with low level of early math ability have low mathematical connection ability, Students with low ability level have difficulty in understanding determine the elements of the problem so that they can not solve the problem and connect it with mathematics, science (other), and also everyday life.

Abstract

This study used the qualitative descriptive method. The data was collected through observation and interview. The data was analyzed through coding and reducing. The researcher interviewed the cultural observer and drew the conclusion of manuscript contribution aspects. The result is as follows. First, the analysis of manuscript discourse aspects was observed with two methods, linguistic and structural methods. The linguistic aspect consist of, intentionality, and acceptability of Bocco Tallu manuscript. The structural method consist of Words, phrases, sentences, stanzas. Second, the analysis of social cultural context of Bocco Tallu manuscript consist of social level (class social), traditional marriage, leadership concepts, arts, and religious system of Mandar tribe. Third, social cultural context of Bocco Tallu manuscript gave contribution to harmonious society in social life of Mandar tribe that is signed with ceremony performed once four years in the presence of all public figures and no other nobles.  Having done some analyzes on this text shows the phrases that lead to the concept of power and history in Mandar, especially the kingdom of Alu, Tara Manu 'and Sendana.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) assess the effectiveness of problem-based learning model in writing exposition text at class X SMA Negeri 1 Polewali; (2) assess the effectiveness of conventional teaching in writing exposition text at class X SMA Negeri 1 Polewali; and (3) prove a learning model based on effective problem used in writing exposition text at class X SMA Negeri 1 Polewali. This research employed experimental research and the population was the students at class X SMA Negeri 1 Polewali, 148 students were spread out into five classes under Mathematics and Natural Sciences Department (MND), from class X MND1 to class X MND5. The researcher used random sampling technique and took 30 students of class X MND5 as the experimental class and 30 students of class X MND1 as the control class, and test was given as the instrument of this research. In collecting data, the researcher used pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Data obtained in two ways analyzes by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that: first, the skills of class X SMA Negeri 1 Polewali Polewali Mandar in writing exposition text trough conventional teaching showed bad effect where some students reached less than 2, 66.

Abstract

This Study was a classroom action research which aimed at describe the plan, implementation, and the enhancement of exposition text writing ability of class X IIS-4 SMAN 8 Makassar by employing Problem-based learning model. The samples were 36 studentsstudents of class X IIS-4 students at SMAN 8 Makassar academic year 2014-2015. The study was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. At the implementation stage of the cycle I and cycle II, observation sheet and test of exposition text writing ability Wet employed to collect the data needed and as the of students' benchmark of exposition text writing ability based on the minimal mastery criteria, 75. The results of the study revealed that the students’ writing text of class X IIS-4 at SMAN 8 was enhanced by employing Problem-based learning model in the planning, action, observation, evaluation stages. The subject teacher was considered as successful to enhance and conduct the lesson plan which showed good score. At the action stage, the students had good behavior. At the evaluation stage, the test result of exposition text writing ability in terms of content, text structure, vocabulary, sentences, and mechanics indicated that in cycle I students had not achieved the set mastery level. At the cycle II, students had achieved the learning master of exposition text writing. The conclusion based on the study was the Problem-based learning model could enhance exposition text writing ability of class X IIS-4 SMAN 8 Makassar after conducting in two cycles.

Abstract

The objective of this Research is to be know the effect of budgeting goal characteristics namely; budgetary goal participation, budgetary goal clarity, budgetary goal difficulty, and budgetary feedback on the manajerial's performance on commanding Regency Polewali Mandar Western Sulawesi. The location of research is regency Polewali Mandar by takes sample 29 SKPD’S managers and 29 SKPD’S finance department managers of as much 57 SKPD .The Sample was selected using purpose sampling method. And data is analysed by using the Linear Regression. Based on the respons of 55 respondent, the result of this research shows that budgetary goal participation, budgetary goal Clarity, and budgetary feedback, have positive and signifikan effect on manajerial's performance. The goal difficulty budgetary has negative insign and significant on managerial performance. The result of this research generally indicates thet hight managerial level can improved the middle managerial performance on Commanding Regency Polewali Mandar with strive budgetary goal participation, budgetary goal Clarity, budgetary goal difficulty and budgetary feedback to managerial performance.

Abstract

The lack of use of the surrounding environment as a learning media for students, where the teacher always considers that the only media or source of learning, but can be seen from the explanation of the theory, that the environment around children, a lot of information or symptoms that participants get not only students. The teacher can also feel the benefits of using the surrounding environment as a learning medium, can help teachers in delivering material that does not only occur in the classroom, but learns outside the classroom, and uses the environment as a source of learning, will make students know more about the environment around students.
