Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the effectiveness of promotion to the increased student enrollment at the University Al'asyariah Mandar and to determine factors that support the promotion so as to reach the Polewali Mandar and other districts. Research conducted at the University of Al Asyariah Mandar, whereas the study period lasted for about 3 months, use descriptive type. Collecting data with the questionnaire (questionnaires) and interviews (interviews). the results showed that the level of effectiveness of the communication through the mass of each is radio, television, and newspapers. With the integration of the three media, it shows the level of promotional effectiveness as measured by the percentage of the study results were achieved by 70 %. Furthermore, the implementation of promotional activities of the three variables as indicators research result shows the effectiveness of the use of communication shows that the media influence assessed face to face with the disclosure of which is done by a percentage not shown adequate effect

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore problem-solving abilities based on the level of mathematical connections built by STKIP YPUP Makassar students. This research is a qualitative explorative research based on task-based interview. The subjects of the study were STKIP YPUP students who programmed linear courses. This type of problem is developed based on the characteristics of mathematical connections according to NCTM, ie connections between mathematical topics, connections with other disciplines, and connections in everyday life. Data collection was done through semi-structured interview process to 2 subjects selected by purposive sampling technique. The results showed by establishing a high connection then Students are able to perform the problem-solving process well.

Abstract

The background of this research is due to the lack of ability to write learners in Indonesian language learning, especially in writing critical response text. This research is an experimental research that aims to get an idea of the effectiveness or not of the learning method of talking stick in the Indonesian language lesson, especially writing the text of critical responses in class IX students of SMP Negeri 6 Wonomulyo. Based on the result of the research, using descriptive statistical analysis for the instrument in the form of the result of the pretest learning test of class IX D as experiment class before the application of the talking stick method obtained an average value of 2.33% and after the application of talking stick method in learning writing critical text responses the average posttest score increased by 3.20%. While in class IX B as control class pretest average value of 2.22% and after the use of conventional methods final or posttest test results average value of 2.91%. Result of inferential statistic analysis for hypothesis test by using Independent Samples Test obtained sig value 0,312> 0,05, so H0 rejected. From the results of this study can be concluded that there are differences of learners who were taught by using conventional methods and learners who are given special treatment by applying the talking stick method, in this case it is known that Indonesian language learning with talking stick method is effective compared to learning Indonesian language with conventional method (not given treatment)

Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to analyze relaxation of the characteristics of distributed mutual exclusion problem of various problems of widening conflict resolution in distributed system, (2) to develop coterie set system in solving any types of conflict resolution in distributed system, (3) to analyze coterie set to solve the distributed conflict problem. The method used was literary study by collecting research materials through library journals that relevant with the subject matter i.e. quorum set system and various problems of distributed conflict resolution. The results of the research indicated that mutual exclusion (mutex) can be solved with coterie, k-mutex problem can be solved by using k-coterie, read-writer problem can be solved by using bicoteri, restricted resources problem can be solved by using (m,h,ki)-coterie. For restricted and various resources matter can be constructed with disjoint and simple uniform (m,h,k)-coterie.

Abstract

This is a classroom action research which aims to describe the planning, implementation, and improvement of Reading Skills on Observations Text Reports in class X TKJ SMK Budi Bangsa pinrang by applying reciprocal teaching model approach. Samples were 31 students of class X TKJ SMK Budi Bangsa Pinrang of academic year 2014-2015. The subject teachers are considered successful in improving learning and planning with good result. At the action stage, the students have better attitude hanged proved by observation sheet. At the evaluation stage, the results of reading tests on the aspects of content, text structure, vocabulary, sentences, and mechanics show that students have not reached the predetermined level of completeness on the first cycle. The second cycle, students, have already achieved mastery in learning ability of reading observation text reports. Studets’ mastery on the first cycle is 38,71% improve to 90,32%; where as, the students’ average score on cycle I is 72,87% improve to 81,23% on cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the reciprocal teaching model approach can increase the reading skills of observations text reports in class X TKJ SMK Budi Bangsa Pinrang after two cycles had been conducted.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Planning enhancement of learning converse through the method of learning community eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Pallangga, 2) The increase in learning converse through the method of learning community eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Pallangga, 3) increase learning converse through methods learning community class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pallangga.Application of community learning methods in the learning process can improve the ability interviewing class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pallangga Gowa seen from the activities of teachers and students increased. Total percentage in the first cycle of the descriptors were observed as 18:59% who are in the very good category, as much as 37.66%, which is in both categories, as much as 33.49%, which is in the category enough, as much as 7.69%, which is in the category of less, and there are still 2:56 % were in the category is very less and the second cycle are in the very good category, that of the 42 aspects are observed, 35 aspects (83.01%) are in the very good category and 7 facet (16.99%) are in either category. Activities students also saw an increase in cycle I and II, which is about 55.21% in the active category, and 44.79% are in the category of inactive and the second cycle as much as 71.11% in the active category, as much as 26.89% in the inactive category. The results showed in the first cycle there are two students (6:25%) who received grades in the categories of excellent, 6 students (18.75%) scored in both categories, 8 students (25%) scored with enough categories, 12 students (37.5% ) scored with less category, and there are four students (12.5%) gained value by category is very less. There were 15 students (46 875%) which scored in the excellent category, 13 students (40 625%) scored in both categories, 4 students (12.5%) scored with enough categories, and none of the students who are in the category of less and it is less .. it can be concluded that the results of students' ability to converse Class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pallangga Gowa through community learning methods declared complete because it has met the standard classical completeness, which is above 85% and otherwise managed to show improvement Significant learning.

Abstract

This study refers to the application of electronic learning (e-learning) as one of the many instructional strategies in the Faculty of Computer Science of Al Asy 'Ariah Mandar University. This study aims to determine the extent to which electronic learning has been applied to optimize and to determine an increase in the quality of learning for lecturers and students through the implementation of electronic learning. The method used by descriptive study with a qualitative approach. In this study using the technique of collecting data through observation and questionnaires to the research object Force Students 2010, 2011 and 2012 as well as Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science of Al Asy 'Ariah Mandar University. The Result of this study indicate that the application of electronic learning need to be optimized to improve the quality of learning for both lecturers and students at the Faculty of Computer Science of Al Asyariah Mandar University.

Abstract

This qualitative research was conducted at Junior High School students and aimed to examine students' mathematical errors in subject matter of addition operation of algebraic shapes. The subjects of this research were class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung, Polman, Sulawesi Barat which made the most error variations. This research found that students make mathematical errors in completing the sum of Algebra operating problems. These errors include the errors in fractional addition operands, algebraic forms, and algebraic operations form. Furthermore, it is found that the mistakes made by the students in solving the problem were related to met-before students.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to develop a test which intentionally used to measure students’ critical ability on the valid Geometry Course. The Research and Development method was employed through the procedure of 4-D model which basically consists of four stages namely; define, design, development, and dissemination. The test is given to students coming from Department of Mathematic Education UNIPA. The finding reveals that there have been forms of final products that are (1) a valid lattice in assessing students’ critical ability on the Geometry Course notably on the subject area of line, angle, triangle deductive reasoning, congruent triangle, Parallel line, distance and number of angle, Parallelograms, Trapezoids, Medians and Midpoints. (2) test to measure students’ critical ability the Geometry Course specifically on area of line, angle, triangle deductive reasoning, congruent triangle, Parallel line, distance and number of angle, Parallelograms, Trapezoids, Medians and Midpoints.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to determine whether the application of Numbered Head Together type of cooperative learning can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Makassar-level Elementary Inpres Batua II. The subject of this study was the fifth grade students of SD Makassar Inpres Batua II Bertingkat. Data was collected by using test results of learning and observation. The results showed that the average score of students in the first cycle was 54.16 with a standard deviation of 14.76. while in Cycle II the average score is 69.80 with a standard deviation of 11.06. This shows that students have achieved classical learning outcomes.
