Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the use of lime (Citrus aurantifolia) and strawberry (Fragraria sp) as natural preservative to the shelf life of roll cake and to know the level of panelist acceptance of roll cake. This research uses a complete randomized design of factorial pattern consisting of two factors namely: the first factor: type of natural preservative that are P1: strawberry, P2:  lime and the second factor was a natural preservative concentration 0%, 2% and 4%. The results of organoleptic of test showed the most favored roll cake from panelist is corn flour substitution 50% and wheat flour 50%. Based on Proximate test results obtained the best treatment that is: water content of 34.07% in 4% lime treatment, ash content of 1.37% on control treatment, 0.44% fiber content on 4% strawberry treatment, 6.81% protein content on 2% strawberry , 52.59% carbohydrate content on 2% strawberry treatment. Research results have shown that shelf life of roll cake with the addition of lime 2% only last until day 6.

Abstract

This research aim is to know the description of nutrition quality from fermented shrimp feed that has been formulated. This research is divided into two stages. The first stage was the manufacture of flour which continues by analysis of protein levels, fat content, crude fiber levels, carbohydrate levels, moisture content and ash content and the second stage is the manufacture of fermentation shrimp feed. The type of this research is experiment using T test to compare treatment addition of mujair fish and addition of golden snail which is processed by using SPSS version 22. The parameters observed in fermentation shrimp feed include protein levels, fat content, crude fiber content, carbohydrate levels, moisture content and ash content. Based on the results of the best treatment research, it was obtained by addition of mujair fish with protein levels 20,8%, fat content 8,82%, crude fiber content 10,79%, carbohydrate content 45,94%, water content 3,65% and ash content 10,12 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is aim to know the influence of cultivating-media of combustion-soil a giving compost toward growth reaction, viability, and vegetables production. This research was used a complete-randomly plan that consist of three treatment included P1 with combustion-soil adding by 65.625 g (15 tons/ha) of compost, P2 with combustion-soil adding by 109.375 g (25 tons/ha) of compost, P3 with combustion-soil adding by 153.125 g (35 tons/ha) of compost, and a combustion-soil as a control. This experiment  was done three times until it was gotten 12 units of experiment. The data gotten were analyzed by using multifariously-examination analysis manually. The result of the research showed that the treatment toward P3 with combustion-soil adding by 153.125 g (35 tons/ha) of compost was the best treatment for a high-plant parameter, leaf number, and gross weight. While for viability, P1 was the best treatment with 100 % percentage of viability

Abstract

Coral reef is one of the most important ecosystem in marine environment. With high biodiversity and productivity as one of their characteristic makes coral reef value in nature regulation cannot be replaced. This study held from July until October 2018. The aim of this study is to understand coral reefs in Liukang Tangaya waters. Data collection using Underwater Photo Transect method. The result are, from 15 observation station show that coral reefs in Liukang Tangaya in damaged condition with average of live coral is 18.91% with the main cause come from destructive fishing.

Abstract

The research aims to know the changes of water content  and starch content of cassava during drying use a room dryer. The research  was conducted by use a completely randomized design (CRD) 5 treatment. Parameters that was observed is water content, starch content and hedonic test to cassava chips that was dried. Data analyzed using analysis variance (ANOVA). The results show that the water content and starch content during drying was changed but tend to stop at six hour of drying totaled 11,68% of the water content and 69,84% of the starch content. For hedonic test, the most preferred chips texture is cassava that dried for four hours.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the design of onion slicer to facilitate farmers in handling post-harvest, and can also function as a tool that can be used by small businesses, especially fried onion business. The form of this research is the design of tools. The design of shallot slicer through several mechanisms including the manufacture of tool support, installation of material components such as hopper, pulley, v-belt, knife, and bearing. The research data was obtained from the results of testing tools by testing simple tools, design tools with 2 knives and also by designing using 4 knives, this tool uses an electric motor as a driving force to replace human power. Data analysis techniques are carried out quantitatively with statistics. The results of this study indicate that the design of tools with 2 and 4 knives has not run optimally.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to know the improvement of learn result the subjects of agribusiness of vegetables crops by using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model on class XIc learners of Agronomy of SMK Negeri 2 Soppeng. The subjects of this study were learners of class XIc Agronomy SMK Negeri 2 Soppeng which amounted to 19 people with details of 14 women and 5 men. Data collection technique in this research is using observation sheet, written test, questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique in this research is qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of this study indicate the application of NHT learning model can improve learning outcomes of learners of class XIc Agronomy SMK Negeri 2 Soppeng. It is based on the value of learning outcomes obtained the learners from cycle I to cycle II has increased. Learners learning outcomes in cycle I with an average value of 79.26% with classical mastery of class 84.21%. While the learning outcomes of learners in cycle II with an average value of 94.68% with classical mastery of class is 100%.

Abstract

Lembang Mesakada village is the most potential village in the plantation sector, especially coffee cultivation. Every year, the coffee farming community in Lembang Mesakada village is able to produce hundreds of tons of coffee beans. The high coffee harvest is what affects the amount of waste of coffee peel produced in coffee processing. The village of Lembang Mesakada itself has a total population of about 4,523. In this village the unemployment rate of out-of-school children is still very high due to uneven economic factors as well as the lack of motivation factors, as well as the lack of employment in the village that can change their lifestyle. The purpose of this activity is to provide employment to drop out children by utilizing waste from coffee skin so as to reduce environmental pollution and processed products can improve the welfare of the community, especially breeders, especially for ruminant livestock. The method used is the initial stage of preparation of tools and materials, Implementation Phase includes the stage of giving the material, the stage of making local microorganism (MOL), the mixing stage of the material, the fermentation stage, the feed drying stage, the feeding stage for livestock and the final stage of monitoring and evaluation. The result of the impact of activities for drop out children to ruminants produced is calculated based on responses in the form of questionnaires distributed with the number of respondents 20 people showed 68% are in very high category, 32% are in high category, and 0% are categorized as moderate and category low and very low 0%.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the effect using media of fermentation and period for fermentation to the quality of kluwek. The experimental design used was completely randomized factorial designed (factorial RAL). Media of fermentation is used soil and ash husk with period of fermentation is 40 days, 50 days and 60 days. Parameters measured were contained cyanide levels in kluwek fermented and contains other nutrients such as water content, ash content and protein content. The best research are fermentation of  kluwek using  husk ash with period of fermentation 60 days, with level of cyanide reached 0.04 µg/g. And has a water content of 59.6%, ash content 2.59%, and protein content 22.07%

Abstract

This study aims to determine the modification of the drying machine using coconut shell fuel and to determine the fuel requirements during the drying process of grain (rice grain). This research is a design research. The procedure for carrying out this research includes designing tools, making frames, making framework that can be used by thermometers and fans, as well as making furnaces. During the research process the parameters observed were the consumption of fuel used during the drying process. The research data was obtained from the results of the test machine dryer. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that consumption of coconut shell fuel for 4 hours of drying was 13.5 kg. The drying result from wet grain is 18 kg to 16.2 kg dry grain with an average dry water content of 12.76%
