Abstract

This study aims to compare the profitability of Bank Mandiri with BCA banks. they differ in ownership status and different amount of assets but are able to obtain almost the same profit. Using descriptive analysis because it is done to show and describe the state of the object of research related to profitability (measured by the ratio of GPM, NPM, ROA, ROE, BOPO, Rate of Return on Loans and Interest Expense Ratio) of the company. The objects of this study are Bank Mandiri and Bank BCA. The results of this study indicate that Bank BCA has better performance than Bank Mandiri based on profitability ratios. The best performance is shown by the ratio of NPM and BOPO.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study based on Maslow's theory of needs. This study involved 40 respondents from the human resources division at PT BNI Syariah South Jakarta Central Office. This study provides evidence of Maslow's theory of needs that can be applied to the workplace. The results of the study stated that physiological needs, safety and security, affiliation or acceptance needs, Esteem needs, and self-actualization needs dominantly influenced the motivation of BNI Syariah employees at the South Jakarta Head Office.

Abstract

Since West Sumatra established itself as the world's best halal tourist destination at the World Halal Tourism Award 2016, Padang City is automatically synonymous with the city of "Halal Tourism". The victory in the category of Worlds Best Halal Culinary Destination and World's Best Halal Destination motivated the Padang City Government and all stakeholders to build awareness that the time for tourism in the City of Padang was to rise up and be aligned with other regions in Indonesia. But the fundamental problem faced in the development of Padang City tourism is the non-specificity of the Padang City city branding with the cities and regencies in West Sumatra. Case studies reveal, that the pattern and concept of city branding halal tourism has not been created yet, there is no guarantee that Padang City holds the main principles and conditions for halal tourism even though the population is predominantly Muslim. Important factors for Muslim tourists may also be partly accommodated, such as halal labels, worship facilities and halal services. Padang must be more consistent in the selection of city branding and conducting socialization and promotion on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Tourism is a sector that is growing very rapidly at this time in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to explore the potential of halal tourism owned by Air Manis Beach (PAM) which can increase income and welfare of the surrounding community. This research is a qualitative study which uses primary data as the source of the data. Data obtained through field observations and in-depth interviews with selected respondents. These respondents consisted of 10 business people or community who are in PAM. The results of this study indicate that the community around PAM including business actors in PAM feel the great potential of PAM tourism in increasing employment opportunities, business chances and increasing their welfare. The hoping is that the government can cooperate better with the community and business practitioners in PAM in terms of management, development and improvement of these tourist destinations.

Abstract

Work from home to prevent the spread of covid-19 drive the increase of use video conferencing at work. Although now entering the new normal era, the reuse of video conferencing will continue to increase. Working using video conferencing has become a new trend. But the lack of literature and research related to video conferencing makes a lack of understanding of consumer behavior regarding the continuance intention of video conferencing. This study proposed a model which is a modification from Theory Aceptance Model (TAM), that has benn proven be able to explain consumers behavior in adoption technology. Data collected from 219 respondents, then analyzed with partial least square method using SmartPLS. The results show that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and social influence have a positive and significant influence on continuance intention of video conferencing. While perceived enjoyment only has a positive and significant effect indirectly, and facilitating conditions do not have a significant effect on continuance intention. The results of this study contribute to understanding consumer behavior continuance intention of video conferencing.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of experience of students as consumers on utilitarian and hedonic values ​​towards intention to revisit canteen of students in Politeknik Negeri Padang. Consumer experience are measured using dimensions of sense, feel, think, act, and relate. Data were analysed using partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). This study found that consumer experience from dimensions of sense, feel and act have a significant positive impact on utilitarian values. In addition, sense, and act also have a significant positive influence on hedonism value. Furthermore, utilitarian, and hedonic values ​​have a positive and significant impact towards intention to revisit the canteen. Thus, the utilitarian and hedonic values ​​obtained through consumer experience will increase student intention to revisit the canteen.

Abstract

Leadership is one of the important factors in the successful of entrepreneurs, nowadays we can find many successful business leaders, but still a lot of entrepreneur becomes go down because they dont prepare they self from an early age to knowing their core value and their character, thats problems impact to reduce their capacity to become a success entrepreneur. This study aims to find the relationship between core values, character and entrepreneur leadership to the successful leaders. It contributes to the business world, namely entrepreneuer to prepare a leader business starts from an early ages to be a successful entrepreneur. Based on this literature, entrepreneurs can evaluate the core values and character, because from the theory there is an impact on the successful entrepreneur. As much as 170 entrepreneurs with 85 Minangkabau and 85 Javanese became respondents in this study. To answer the research questions, this research used descriptive and statistical analysis with Multiple regression. This research found that there was a significant influence of core values, character and entrepreneur leadership in successful leaders. Theory contributions of this study are an approach to entrepreneur and leadership, and examine the influence of core values, character and entrepreneur leadership in successful leaders. For future study, research like this can be done on another ethnicity in Indonesia .

Abstract

This study aims to find out what is needed by the company for prospective employees. Higher Education is a producer of labor so that what is produced must be in line with industry needs. This research was conducted by survey method using a questionnaire instrument. The number of respondents was 139 people who were spread out in all regions with respondents being alumni users or company owners / managers who had been alumni from 2014 to 2018. The results of the study revealed that there were some skills that alumni had to have, namely foreign language skills, personality good and in accordance with job specifications, the ability to use computer equipment, communication skills and others. This ability has special requirements for alumni in getting jobs both private companies and state-owned or civil servants. The limitation of this study is that the questions raised are limited to alumni users but there are still many other questions that should also be important for universities and for further research this can be done.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of the value of health on tourist attitudes on local Padang food. This type of research is a causative study that looks at the influence of independent variables, namely the value of health to the dependent variable, namely the attitude of tourists to local Padang food. Respondents in this study were tourists / tourists visiting the tourist area of the city of Padang. Determination of the number of samples using a purposive sampling technique of 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used is path analysis. The results showed that the health value of food significantly influenced the attitude of tourists in local Padang food. Keywords: Consumption Values (TCV), Health Values, Tourist Attitudes in Local Foods Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh nilai kesehatan makanan terhadap sikap turis pada makanan lokal Padang. Jenis penelitain ini adalah penelitian kausatif yang melihat pengaruh variabel bebas yaitu nilai kesehatan makanan terhadap variabel terikat yaitu sikap turis pada makanan lokal padang. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah turis/wisatawan yang mengunjungi daerah wisata kota Padang. Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 100 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai kesehatan makanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap turis pada makanan lokal Padang. Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to review some related academic papers to understand cross-cultural concepts. It begins with a briefly introduction to culture definition, the relation of culture and international business, the Culture’s consequences after 25 years; something old and new in cross-cultural studies and a failure of analysis in cross-cultural studies. Then, deeply understanding to cross-cultural studies, it discusses the cross-cultural research in terms of the types, the key issues, problem and proposed solutions, and the process. This paper ends with methodological concepts and theoretical frameworks of universal dimensions of cultural variability. Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk mengutarakan beberapa artikel akademik yang berkaitan untuk memahami konsep lintas budaya (cross-culture). Makalah ini dimulai dengan pengantar singkat mengenai definisi budaya, budaya dan hubungannya dengan bisnis internasional, culture’s consequences karya Hofstede setelah 25 tahun, beberapa hal baru dan lama dalam studi lintas budaya, dan kesalahan analisis dalam studi lintas budaya. Untuk lebih memahami studi lintas budaya, makalah ini mendiskusikan penelitian-penelitian lintas budaya dalam hal tipe-tipe, masalah-masalah kunci, permasalahan dan solusi yang disarankan, serta proses penelitian. Makalah ini diakhiri dengan konsep metodologi dan kerangka teoretis dari berbagai dimensi budaya.
