Abstract

Abstract. This journal discusses the development of variations in teaching in increasing learning motivation. The learning process is an activity that involves an individual (physical and spiritual), learning activities are never carried out without a strong motivation or motivation from within the individual or from outside the individual who participates in learning activities. Therefore, the learning process requires the development and use of variations in teaching to generate student motivation. Variations in teaching include variations in teaching styles, variations in media and materials, and variations in teaching and learning interactions. Motivation has a very important role in learning activities, there is no learning activity without motivation, therefore motivation has a strategic role in achieving the goals or results of learning. Abstract

Abstract. The Influence of Learning Strategy Towards Cognitive Ability and Creativity in Solving Mathematics Problems (An Experiment Study on Students at SMPN in Bone District. The Study aims at examining the influence of learning strategy towards cognitive ability and students’ creativity in solving Mathematics problems. The population of the study was the entire SMPN in Bone district with A accreditation and students of grade VII at SMPN 1 Watampone and SMPN 2 Watampone with as many as 129 students were chosen. The samples of the study were 25 grade VII.B students at SMPN 1 Watampone and 25 grad VII.A students at SMPN 2 Watampone.The Study was an experiment research with factorial desin. Data were collected using test result instrument in a form on an essay. Data were analyzed by employing desriptive analysis and inferential analysis with SPSS 22.00 program.The result of the study revealed that students’ cognitive ability taught by employing mind map learning strategy at the experiment 1 was in high category. Students’ cognitive ability taught by employing expository learning strategy at the experiment 2 was in fair category. Students’ creativity in solving Mathematics problems taught by employing mind map learning strategy at the experiment 1 was in fair category on the aspects f fluency, flexibility, and originality; whereas, students’ creativity in solving Mathematics problems taught by employing expository learning strategy at experiment 2 was in fair category on the aspects of fluency, flexibility, and originality. The results indicated that there were differences between cognitive ability and creativity in solving Mathematics problems of students who were taught by employing mind map learning strategy and expository learning strategy.

Abstract

Abstract. Core schools deserve to be models from other schools, especially in terms of curriculum implementation. This paper is a descriptive which aims to describe the curriculum implementation process that should be done in elementary school. The Curriculum of 2013 as a form of educational innovation in Indonesia requires various adjustments, especially in the process of implementation. The right curriculum implementation strategy in the presence of an innovation curriculum is teacher oriented. There are three effective teacher-oriented strategies, namely adjusting the mindset, developing new cultures in school and developing the curriculum. The strategy of the O'Mallay and Chamot Model learning process and the Oxford Model Strategy is very feasible to apply in elementary schools with reference to the 2013 Curriculum. Teachers must be able to apply effective, varied and adaptive learning strategies in order to develop students' learning strategies maximally.

Abstract

Abstrak. Schools are formal educational institutions that have specific directions and goals, their achievements certainly require unification and mobilization to achieve goals. Therefore, principals as leaders of educational institutions have great responsibilities, both as leaders, managers, administrators, and motivators. School integrity is characterized by the realization of an effective learning process. The effectiveness of learning is largely determined by the teacher because the teacher as a leading curriculum translator. Therefore, it is hoped that the principal will carry out his role as a leader, manager, administrator, and motivator for the teacher so that the teacher can improve his performance. Teacher performance can be measured by work behavior and work results and ownership competencies that have been required as teachers.

Abstract

Abstract. The focus of discussion in this paper is to provide an overview of efforts to market education to the community through the creation of a positive brand image for educational institutions. The background is government policies that give authority to educational institutions in managing their respective educational institutions so as to open the door to competition between educational institutions. Seeing the condition of competition that tends to be less healthy, encourages the writer to explain the concepts that can help educational institutions to be able to recognize the efforts made in marketing education, especially in terms of creating brand image. This becomes very important to be understood by the management of educational institutions, considering the brand image is the embodiment of an educational institution in the minds of consumers (students, students, students, and society) in assessing and dropping their choices to contribute to the chosen educational institution.

Abstract

Abstract. The existence of early childhood education institutions in Indonesia has received special attention from the government as the initial foundation to build reliable human resources. But in its journey, the institution was confronted with quite a number of serious problems such as: First, the level of teacher education where only 23.06 percent had a bachelor degree, while according to the National Education Standards, PAUD teachers should have both formal and non-formal minimum S.1 PAUD, Psychology, or Education. Second, the problem of the quality of PAUD institution programs. Third, there is still one third of children aged 3-6 years who have not received PAUD services. Fourth, family involvement that is not in line with PAUD institutions. Fifth, PAUD learning which is supposed to be 80 percent building attitudes, is currently focusing on learning to read and write in an academic nuance. Sixth, problems with education investment.Seventh, nutrition problems and eighth, namely the status of non-formal PAUD teachers who have not been considered as teachers. Seeing so many problems in the management of PAUD institutions, a management approach is needed to deal with these problems. Recommended alternative problem solving is school-based management. This paper only expresses in outline to attract the interest of managers of early childhood education institutions to learn more about the implementation of school-based management.

Abstract. Self-management concept is a leadership concept needed by leaders in educational institutions. In this context, self-management concept directs a leader of an educational institution to change attitudes, improve self-image, continue to work and work, maintain physical health, improve mind power, develop spiritual life, do things now, be consistent in learning, develop networks, build and maintain relationships, develop others by developing reasons why it is necessary to build others, empower others and create leaders, and build groups to grow together so as to ensure a conducive climate in educational institutions.

Abstract

Abstract. Total Quality Management (TQM) or Integrated Quality Management (MMT) is a management system that elevates quality as a business strategy and is oriented to customer satisfaction by involving all members of the organization. Integrated Quality Management (MMT) is an approach in running a business that tries to maximize an organization's competitiveness through continuous improvement of its products, services, workforce, processes, and environment. Total Quality Management (TQM) functions effectively in a variety of organizations, namely as a management system to improve product quality or outcomes so that they can be accepted by customers and can avoid the occurrence of fatal errors. Total Quality Management (TQM) aims to provide satisfaction to customer needs as efficiently as possible. According to Margono Slamet, the main objective of TQM is to improve the quality of work, improve productivity and be efficient to satisfy.
