Abstract

In the health sector, the computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system is a rapidly growing technology because medical diagnostic systems make a huge change as compared to the traditional system. Now a day huge availability of medical data and it needs a proper system to extract them into useful knowledge. Heart disease accounts to be the leading cause of death worldwide. Heuristic algorithms have been exposed to be operative in supporting making decisions and classification from the large quantity of data produced by the healthcare sector. Classification is a prevailing heuristic approach which is commonly used for classification purpose some heuristic algorithm predicts accurate result according to the marks whereas some others exhibit limited accuracy. This paper is used to categorize the attendance of heart disease with a compact number of aspects. Original, 13 attributes are involved in classifying heart disease. A reasonable analysis of these techniques was done to conclude how the cooperative techniques can be applied for improving prediction accuracy in heart disease. Four main classifiers used to construct heart disease prediction based on the experimental results demonstrate that support vector machine, artificial bee colony (ABC), bat algorithm, and memory-based learner (MBL) provide efficient results. The accuracy differs between 13 features and 8 features in the training dataset is 1.9% and in the validation, dataset is 0.92% of vector machine which is the most accurate heuristic algorithm.

Abstract

Engineering applications in secure communications and encryption based on chaotic signals have attracted a lot of attention in the past decade. This paper presents an extensive study of the chaotic dynamics model of the van der pol oscillator via MATLAB/Simulink simulation and its practical implementation using field-programmable analog matrix techniques. The obtained results show the ease of changing the frequency of the oscillator signal once it is retrieved, creating the required changes, and loading it again according to the required changes. An unlimited number of signals can be generated, allowing them to be used as a chaotic signal oscillator used in many transceiver systems, which require the generation of an unlimited number of such a signal. These research results confirmed that the AN231E04 field-programmable analog array (FPAA) device could be an interesting choice for analog circuit designers, it has the advantage of the ease of use in introducing design changes and testing many critical design solutions.

Abstract

This paper aimed to study how to reduce the amounts of heat transfer from or to the internal space of the building by covering its external walls with many locally available materials, thus reducing the rate of consumption of electrical energy used in adaptation, which leads to reducing energy consumption costs. The researcher built a model room with dimensions (1 x 1 x 2) m on the third floor of a building in Baghdad (L = 33.2 N), the dimensions of its walls (1 x 2 m) east for the installation of the sample, and the other surfaces are insulated with 200 mm polystyrene sheets. Use a 0.5 ton air conditioner to provide the room thermal comfort. The researcher found that the metal sheet with a thickness of 10 mm and covered with an insulating layer of thermoplastics is considered the best among the materials used in construction, as it saves 57% of the electrical energy consumed in air conditioning. While the use of marble, porcelain, helen stone, and fiberglass slabs with a thickness of 10 mm, comes last because it saves less than 30% of electrical energy.

Abstract

One of the problems that need to be solved is the difference in the type of nutrition from the load. The feeding may be from a constant current source such as batteries and solar cells, and there are alternating current sources such as diesel machines, wind energy, and various power plants. All of these sources need electronic power devices that help convert and regulate the control and control of the type of feeding on the one hand and its amount on the other. From here, we show the size of the challenge occupied by electronic power transformers, as they are considered the solution to many problems of transmission, distribution, and feeding systems for different loads. The current study sheds light on one of the types of electronic power systems, which is unified. Choosing and suggesting a set of single-phase unifying circuits to conduct simulations and come up with results that are analyzed to show the function of the non-electronic modulators. In the current simulation, tests were carried out for a group of circuits that need direct current (DC) power, and their available source of supply is an alternating current source to different departments to access a set of data that enables researchers to conduct appropriate analyzes to perform them, by discussing those results.

Abstract

The plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) including plug-in hybrid electric and all-electric vehicles will play a key role in the transportation future throughout the world. Consequently, a variety of works must be done to decrease the cost, improve the structure and increase the convenience of PEVs. This study proposed a single-phase, non-isolated and on-board battery charger with no use of any transformer which reduced the volume and weight of the system for PEVs. The main purpose is to provide an accurate control structure in order to achieve an acceptable charging in the wide range of voltage. The proposed structure is simulated by matrix laboratory (MATLAB) software. The results showed a high-power density, high efficiency and appropriate power factor from the structure of the non-isolated and single-phase charger.

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to carry out consumer and investor behavior through a feasibility study of cable car tourist attractions in agritourism in Pelaga Village, Petang district, which focuses on studying marketing and financial perspective. This research uses observation and feasible study methods based on marketing theory, and investment financial management theory. It is highly likely by potential tourists as an attraction that can openly present natural beauty, as an environmentally friendly tourist attraction, a unique tourist attraction in Bali, will provide public facilities, telecommunications, restaurants, and agro product market centers, proximity to the city center, availability of transportation to the location, easy access to locations, and community friendliness towards tourist arrivals. The economic aspect where analysis of market opportunities is based on estimated sales data for four types of services: cable cars, restaurants, UFO glass platform attraction, and under the park and agritourist. The findings of this study reinforce the method and theory that business-oriented development planning must go through a feasible study of at least two important aspects, namely aspects of market potential, and aspects of investment management which are expected to be profitable for investors.

Abstract

Undernutrition is a type of malnutrition. Malnutrition can endanger human life, particularly that of children. Honey, which has a high nutritional value, is one of the components that can be utilized to alleviate malnutrition. Zinc tablets, in addition to honey, are thought to boost hemoglobin (Hb) and albumin levels. Zinc, as an antioxidant and catalyst for biochemical events, aids in organ healing, particularly by restoring the role of enzymes in the process of food metabolism in the body. This study was conducted as an experimental study with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. Thirty Wistar rats were randomly distributed into six groups of five rats. The average Hb and albumin levels in the group of rats differ significantly, both in the single treatment and the combination of normal rats and malnutrition control. The groups that were given zinc and honey once a day had the greatest rise in hemoglobin, which was 0.5 g/dl (3.10%). The groups who received zinc and honey twice a day had the greatest rise in albumin (1.99 g/dl) (163.11%).

Abstract

The current work aims to use traditional control algorithms and advanced optimization algorithms that was chosen for its ease of control and the possibility of using it in many industrial applications. By setting the appropriate specifications for the simulation model and after conducting the planned tests that simulate different applications of the motor’s work within electrical systems, the results proved to obtain good performance of the motor’s work, better response, high accuracy, in addition to the speed. The goal is to design and tune a proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controller by grey wolf optimization (GWO) using transfer function (T.F) for a direct current (DC) motor. To adjust the parameters of the traditional controllers using the optimum advanced, an appropriate mechanism and technology from the advanced optimization techniques were chosen, as the gray wolf technology algorithm was chosen as an optimization technique and integral time absolute error (ITAE) to adjust the parameters of the traditional PID controller.

Abstract

In this paper, we analyze the effect of the preliminary processing of substrate on the properties of the grown heterostructure. It has been shown that the growth of an epitaxial layer on a buffer layer after preliminary (before starting of growth) annealing makes it possible to decrease the value of mismatch-induced stress. An analytical approach has been introduced for the analysis of mass and heat transfer in a multilayer structure with account mismatch-induced stress.
