Abstract

After the The Reformation Era had forced New Order steep down, the Government began a new era and introducing concept of “Clean Government” which is implemented in E-government. The Internet had helped the government to open himself for publik by online service. The Government had released declaration (Keppres No. 61/2001) which encouraged the use of Information and Communiation Technology, concerning political and legal base for the development of e-government. According to the Keppres Number 6/2001 the government had introduced TKTI (Tim Koordinasi Telematika Indonesia) which has to develop National Information Technology Framework (NITF) with a vision to establish Telematic society based on knowlede in 2020. The problems are the low of internet acces and cultural obstacles. The government, actualy , is on the right track, however they are still in the third category (Minimal e-government capacity) where almost all of sites contain only information.

Abstract

Korean waves have penetrated Indonesian youth and become popular among them. Various studies show that Korean culture is an object of imitation for Indonesian teenagers. Imitation starts from the presentation of culture, then the process of internalizing culture in adolescents and finally teenagers makes Korean culture a part of them. Korean culture for Indonesian teenagers is structured. Korean teenage artists have drilled faces to become agents of the spread of Korean culture. The method used in the literature study is the results of research by several universities in Indonesia, with the theory of cultural dynamics which says that culture always changes. Cultural change through the process of diffusion, acculturation and assimilation. The results showed the spread of mass media, especially Korean online media that has an agenda to campaign Korean culture. While the cultural material of Korea that diffused is drama, music, fashion, food, and language. The target audienss for all those materials are teenagers and adult except for music, which is more desirable by the early teenagers. The positive impact on viewers is learning to save, to do business, to gain experience and to make new friends. The negative impacts are wasteful, fan war, pornography and porno action, and loves Korean culture than its own culture.

Abstract

Dasar pemikiran tulisan ini dilandasi perkembangan siaran televisi swasta yang semakinberkembang, dalam arti beragamnya pilihan stasiun tv swasta dengan acara yang bervariasi,di samping dukungan kebijakan pemerintah me/alui UU Penyiaran. Permasalahannya adalahbagaimana hubungan antara media cetakyang sudah lebih dahulu muncul dengan masuknyamedia elektronika dan broadcasting house? Kedua jenis media ini sebetulnya memilikikelebihan, sekaligus kekurangan. Ketika budaya televisi tumbuh dengan pesat, munculkekhawatiran dari sementara pengelola surat kabar akan semakin surutnya pembaca yangmenjadi surut. Namun, beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing mediamemiliki tingkat efisiensi tertentu yang tergantung dari message dan target khalayaknya.Da/am mengatasi persaingan, media cetak terus berupaya meningkatkan produksi danprofesionalismenya selain dengan mempertahankan segmen pembaca tertentu. Namun,pada perkembangan selanjutnya ternyata antarkedua media tersebut terjadi hubungankerja sama positif Masing-masing media saling memanfaatkan dan mendukungkelebihannya masing-masing

Abstract

This controversy looks like never ending: Did Islam permitt a woman to become a president? Before SI 2001, the polemic of that problem still happened, even more strict. It is not strange if mass media gave bigger covering on that issue. This research tries to describe news covering on two ideological different national newspapers, Republika and Kompas, periode June until July 2001.

Abstract

Harmony in family communication indicates the success of communication and interaction exchange within family members. In this paper, a harmonious communication between parents and their children was reviewed through parents credibility, the use of verbal and non-verbal communication, plus parents ability to listen their children actively. By continuously added their knowledge and information concerning parenting and communication, parents could increase their credibility. Verbal message focused on I-message applying win-win solutions, combined with humor approach, helps to delivered message effectively. Meanwhile, active listening related with parents activities in giving restatement, understanding, and questioning children’s mind and feeling.

Depth reporting merupakan kegiatan yang senantiasa mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan dari waktu ke waktu, seiring dengan perubahan nilai-nilai dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Konsep-konsep tradisional pada pelaporan, pemilihan sumber, kepekaan jurnalisme, peliputan, dan kinerja wartawan bergeser pada interes khalayak media dan tuntutan profesional. ‘Depth reporting’ sendiri merupakan karya jurnalistik yang memerlukan kesenian, kemampuan, dan perencanaan yang matang dari penulisnya.

Abstract

Dulu, orang malu-malu menggunakan simbol-simbol “santri”. Sekarang, pemakaian jilbab, pakaian koko, gamis, peci, surban, menjadi satu identitas diri. Perubahan trend “santrinisasi“ ini sangat menarik jika diamati lewat pendekatan komunikasi. Lewat teori interaksi simbolik,yang dirangkai dalam suatu proses komunikasi antarpersona, maka kehadiran simbol—verbal dan nonverbal— ini menjadi semakin kental terlihat dalam setiap interaksi santri di Pesantren Daarut Tauhid Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Objek penelitian ini adalah simbol dan perilaku keagamaan yang digunakan dan ditafsirkan para santri. Untuk mendapatkan data, digunakan observasi berperanserta, wawancara takerstruktur, dan penggunaan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian ini adalah santri perempuan yang dipilih secara purposif pada tiga kriteria santri, yakni santri karya, santri mukim, dan santri beasiswa. Penelitian ini menemukan simbol verbal dan nonverbal keagamaan, meliputi slogan-slogan dan ekspresi nonverbal dalam perilaku santri yang ramah, sopan, santun, penuh persaudaraan, kebersamaan, bersih, muhasabah dan berpakaian muslimah. Simbol keagamaan digunakan santri dengan mengacu pada konsep manajemen qalbu. Santri ber-riyadhah menggunakan simbol untuk mencapai pribadi yang berakhlaq mulia. Dari temuan yang ada, peneliti memunculkan tiga kategori perilaku beragama santri: kategori kesalehan individual, kesalehan sosial, dan perilaku MQ. Dari ketiga kategori kesalehan ini, ditemukan bahwa santri masih dalam kategori kesalehan individual sambil bergerak ke arah kesalehan sosial dan perilaku MQ.

Abstract

The Tribal conflict between Dayak and Madurese of West Kalimantan in 1996 – 2000 causing their communication had totally broken for many years. In 2002, they began to communicate. Until now, they still improve their communication quality. It is important to know how they conduct this reconciliation communication after all of their conflict. This research investigates people roles in the reconciliation communication between Dayak and Madurese in Kabupaten Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. Researcher using in-depth interview, observation, and literature study in this Phenomenology research. Nineteen informants were chosen purposively. They are both Dayak and Madurese, people from other tribe, police, and government officer. The result shows there are four roles in this communication; they are Dayaknese and Madurese as the main actor or performer, the guarantor as a mediator, the police officer and local government officer as an advisor, and other ethnics as colleagues. Madurese needs guarantor to ensure their live. Dayak and Madurese need an advisor when they facing a problem. Both of them also need other ethnics as colleagues to smooth communication. All of them played a role dramaturgically in positive purposes, as a personal or as a team member.

Abstract

Organisasi, sebagai wadah pemenuhan kebutuhan manusia. semakin berkembangpesat dengan segala kompleksitas pengelolaannya. Sumber-sumber daya organisasipun semakin menuntut perhatian manajer untuk di kelola sebaik-baiknya. karena tingkat persaingan yang semakin ketat, Saat ini, kebanyakan manajer lebih banyak menghabiskan energi dan konsentrasi pada pengelolaan sumber daya mesin serta teknologinya. Dana yang tersedia tidak jarangjuga mengabaikan sumber daya manusia sebagai tulangpunggung organisasi. Yang sebenarnya lebih kreatif dan aktif dibandingkan sumber daya lainnya. Karenanya. sumber daya manusia harus lebih diberdayakan, agar produktivitas meningkat. Salah satu cara yang dapat ditempuh adalah melalui peningkatan proses komunikasi organisasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan subjektivis.

Abstract

It had been long known that technology, as Janus, has two side of coins: the good side,and the bad side. Everybody knows the benefit of technology development. But there aren’t much who realize the negative potent of technology. Cybercrime discussed in this article is an example of how crime was developed sophisticatedly by using technological means. Cybercrime, simply defined as criminal acts using cyber and Internet, has faced a new challenge for lawmaker and law enforcement mission. In Indonesia, carding become serious issues to be combated. Another type of cybercrime frequently occur in Indonesia are hacking and deface. Although Internet user in Indonesia is estimated no more than 5% of total population (4.38 million persons), everybody must attended cybercrime issues seriously. The loss of cybercrime reached unspeakable heights and damaged public safety in communication and information flows.
