Manazhim Journal is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and writing on islamic education management. This journal was published by Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (MPI) STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok - NTB which was published twice in a year (biannualy), February and August with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with Islamic education management science topics are particularly welcome to be submitted.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research with 2 (two) cycles which aims to improve students' creative thinking abilities through contextual approaches in mixed count operations material with qualitative approach. Data collection is done through observation, evaluation tools, interviews, documentation, and worksheets. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive qualitative Data triangulation is used to test the validity of the data. The data obtained came from three different sources, observers, teachers, and students. This research show most students become active gradually in learning activities. With a contextual approach students are motivated in finding meaning and concepts, observing, analyzing, determining completion strategies and alternatives to find the final result. An increase in students' creative thinking abilities in the aspects of fluency and flexibility from the pre-action stage to the end of the second cycle with a percentage of 25% to 60% (fluency) and 17.5% to 55% (flexibility).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the understanding of Accounting Students related to the basic concept of accounting, namely the understanding of assets, liabilities and capital based on the background of secondary schools (Vocational Accounting, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences Senior High School). Sampling through a purposive sampling technique that is a number of 90 accounting students from Mataram University and Mataram University of Technology who filled out the research questionnaire. This study uses SPSS 18 data processing, with a different test, testing the hypothesis shows the result that H3 is accepted, which is a significance level of 0.044 where the value is less than 0.05; and concluded that there are significant differences regarding the understanding of capital between students from SMK Accounting, SMA IPS and IPA SMA, while H1 and H2 are not accepted, the significance level is 0.724 and 0.874, respectively, where the value is greater than 0.05. This happens due to several factors including: lack of practice, lack of practice, short study portions, etc., causing a lack of understanding of students towards assets and liabilities which are important indicators of other financial statements.

Abstract

This paper discusses the management of Islamic Cultur through habituating Dhuha Prayers in Improving Student Discipline. Islamic Cultur is a practice of habituating Islamic values, one of which is the implementation of habituation in congregation. This culture is implemented and familiarized in order to improve student discipline. Prayer is a compulsory worship that must be performed by every Muslim. Prayer services will be able to keep the culprit from the heinous and unjust practices. Prayer is one of the worship services that has disciplinary implications for the culprit. This research belongs to the type of qualitative-descriptive research that is expected to be able to uncover various information with a careful and meaningful description-analysis. Sources of data in this study include the principal, student staff and staff and teachers of Islam. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. As for the data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and data analysis. The results of this research are (1) Management of Islamic Cultur held through habituation of Dhuha Berma’ah (2) Habituation of Dhuha prayer in congregation can improve student discipline.

Abstract

The success of extracurricular activities depends on quality or quality management or management processes. Therefore, this study aims to describe the application of quality management for extracurricular activities of teenage scientific papers including planning, implementation and evaluation activities in order to get customer satisfaction, be able to optimize aspects of everyone, carry out fact-based management and make continuous improvements. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research through observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman, which one of the visions is excellent academic quality. The application of extracurricular quality management of youth science consists of planning activities including customer involvement in the selection of supervisors to planning work programs that can be carried out and always carrying out joint evaluations, implementing activities including the involvement of each student in scientific competitions at regional, national and international levels, as well as evaluation activities. through discussion and project improvement and more intensive coaching. The application is adjusted to the quality management principle of Edward Sallis known as total quality management, namely customer satisfaction, aspects of everyone, management based on facts and continuous improvement which results in increased extracurricular achievements of scientific work in scientific competitions that are followed. The conclusion of this study is the application of extracurricular quality management of youth science consisting of planning, implementation and evaluation activities on the basis of quality management in the form of customer satisfaction, aspects of everyone, fact-based management and continuous improvement.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of the role of educators in optimizing student achievement in terms of knowledge or cognitive aspects, attitudes or affective aspects and skills or psychomotor aspects. Therefore, this study aims to describe the effect of increasing the competence of teachers on student achievement at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach according to the data and facts found in the field directly not the result of presumptions or assumptions. The research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman where in the odd semester the student achievement was mostly still below the average parallel score for class XI and XII. Based on that, this school tried to improve the competence of its teaching staff including pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence through training, habituation of positive things, deliberation and mentoring. Along with the increase in the competence of the teaching staff, it can be seen that student achievement in the even semester has also increased where students whose scores are above the average grade in class X increase by 7%, class XI increases by 12% and class XII increases by 11%. The conclusion of this study is that the improvement of the competence of the teaching staff includes pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence and professional competence are closely related to the improvement of student achievement.

Abstract

Indonesian education requires every student to do research. Every time you carry out research, there are many methods in the manufacturing process which are commonly referred to as research methodologies, which are useful for distinguishing the types of research being carried out. There are several kinds of research methodologies including quantitative, qualitative, pure, applied, evaluation, descriptive, explanatory, experimental, non-experimental, ex post facto methodologies, surveys, case studies, and action research which have specific characteristics, weaknesses and strengths. By conducting literature studies and content analysis approaches, I got a new pattern in conducting research, namely combining two types of research, qualitative and quantitative, which were previously deemed impossible. What we have summarized in this article is for the development of Indonesia's educational civilization.

Abstract

The role of the principal in managing an educational institution must be able to think about three important things, namely Input-Process-Output, these three things must be managed optimally to get quality and quality grades. Teachers and students are an important part of educational institutions. So from that the principal needs to streamline the process of all existing programs. The MTs Assalam educational institution, Mataram City, NTB is a relatively new educational institution because it officially became an educational institution legally in 2019, but students and students there have shown enthusiasm and high motivation to learn whether it is in implementing programs implemented in Islamic boarding schools or at schools They are also active in several extra activities such as tahfidz, student council, scouting, silat and recitation, the policy that is implemented is that it requires all students and students to live in the hut and free food and housing fees. This study aims to analyze in depth the quality and quality (input, process, and output) that exist in the MTs Assalam educational institution, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological research type. The research instruments used were documentation and observation, data analysis used in this study was data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that the system of quality development process and the quality of students there is by compulsory boarding and following the rules of the boarding school, collaborating with lodges, collaborating with the community, holding recitations for the community, always coordinating with the santri guardians and building a network of partners with offices - government offices.

Abstract

This type of research is a quasi-experimental which is included in quantitative research with posttest design only control desaign. The subjects in this study were 46 students consisting of experimental and control classes. Class A control (22 people) and class B experiment (24 people). The test instrument used in this study was a multiple choice question sheet. The results were analyzed using the t test. The results of the research analysis show that painting education can be used to improve early childhood cognitive abilities. The analysis conducted using SPSS showed that cognitive intelligence between groups A and B obtained a significant value of 0.762. Because the significant value is > 0.05, the hypothesis of this study is accepted.

Abstract

Education is one of the universal activities in human life, wherever there is society, there is education too. Many countries admit that the problem of education is a complicated problem, but all feel that education is a very important task of the State, a nation that wants to progress, build, and try to improve the condition of society and the world, of course, state that education is the key, and without the key their efforts will failed. The objectives of this research which are to be achieved are: (1) To determine the implementation of supervision techniques in an effort to improve teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Jerowaru . (2) To determine the impact of supervision to the improved performance tacher SMP Negeri 2 Jerowaru. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research methods , data collection techniques using interview techniques , observation, and documentation. To obtain data in the field , interviews were conducted with the supervisors and teachers of Jerowaru State Junior High School . The data analysis technique used is the Hubermen and Miells method, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that in the implementation of the supervision technique, several methods are used, namely, individual techniques and group techniques . Based on these results, intensive coaching efforts are needed in increasing the competence of teachers, school principals, and school supervisors to achieve quality education, starting from improving the quality of the learning process which will ultimately improve the quality of graduates at all types and levels of education.

Abstract

This study focuses on the teaching and learning process of Indonesian overseas schools (SILN). The purpose of making this article is to find out how the actualization of the national education process in SIDH Belanda dan SIKL Malaysia in assimilation in their country. This type of research is qualitative research. The method used is descriptive document analysis. And based on the analysis of various documents, it was found that the two countries implemented national education into teaching and learning activities. There are similarities and there are differences between the teaching and learning activities of the two countries. There are similarities and differences in the teaching and learning activities of the two countries, which are seen from three aspects, among others, national education in the curriculum, national values in the curriculum, and the strategy for implementing national education. In addion, Learning at Indonesian Overseas Schools (SILN) is also carried out optimally by SILN teachers in facing challenges and obstacles, this learning is carried out in order to realize and implement national education even though in overseas areas and to create smart and quality successors of the nation.
