Abstract

Church growth is an important study in church history. The Bible has important principles in church growth, therefore these principles need to be analyzed so that they can contribute to the study of church growth. The Acts of the Apostles is a book that has a history and principles of church growth, therefore the author conducted research on church growth based on Acts 2: 1-47. The author uses a qualitative approach to literature study to find the principles of church growth based on Acts 2: 1-47. The results showed that there were three principles for the growth of the early church. The first principle based on the fourth verse is to depend on the Holy Spirit, the second principle based on verses 14-36, 42 is to preach the Word of God, the third principle based on verses 42-46 is to live in fellowship. For the growth of the church today the church must depend on the power of the Holy Spirit, teaching based on the word of God, and the church lives in fellowship.

Abstract

The Church as the People of the LORD God have integral responsibility. This integral responsibility has holistic natures related to various aspects in life. Civil responsibility is one of the responsibility of the church. All of the church civil responsibility is closely related to the total development of the society and the nation to the larger extent. The foundation of church civil responsibility is developing the feeling of being one nation as part of character development being held in the community development. The specific focus of developing the feeling of being one nation in essence is to strengthen nation identity. The character development is tightly related to national education as a tool to achieve such noble end. This research is based on the ideal to help the church in cooperation with the nation wide societies to be involved in the national development of character building ot its community.

Abstract

Christian Religious Education has a role in fostering mentally retarded children so that they know God in their daily lives, and apply that education through their actions towards God, self, and others. Looking at the results of a research survey it appears that BEFORE retarded children receive education at C1 level SLB, many parents and even the environment are less accepting of their existence; Shyness and low self-esteem are seen in mentally retarded children; the development of children's abilities in trying to help themselves is still difficult; adaptation to the environment is still difficult; parental responses to educators in implementing PAK are still not emphasizing; the development of thinking, emotions, behavior, speech is still lacking. Seeing the condition of mentally retarded parents and children as above, they really need a Christian educator who can support, direct, educate, and foster them with great love and patience. For this reason a Christian educator needs to understand techniques in teaching, using appropriate teaching methods, getting to know the character of each of his students, even teachers must be able to train and equip them with the teachings of the Word of God so that through this parents can accept the existence of their children, and children can also do something by yourself. Through education given to mentally retarded children they also experience the development of thinking, emotions, behavior, and speaking. Parents also have an important role in developing, educating, training and teaching them with love. Parents can perform their role properly and correctly if he accepts all of their children's existence in learning, and parents must also be a driving force for their lives in learning and playing so that the child's development can continue to be monitored and children can live independently in carrying out their responsibilities as a child students. The purpose of writing this article is firstly, when mentally retarded children receive a Christian Religious Education they can apply the Word of God through their attitudes toward God, such as praying, singing, and listening to the Word. Second, besides praying, singing, they can help each other help, love. Third, based on the education provided they can take care of themselves, pay respect to older people. Fourth, their recognition of the Lord Jesus is clearer and educators must provide examples and examples for them. The discussion in the writing of this article is about the introduction of mentally retarded children; Christian Religious Education for the development of mentally retarded children; the role of parents in handling mental retardation children.

Abstract

This article discusses Dead Sea Scrolls and the reliability of the Bible from an evangelical perspective. This review from an evangelical point of view is needed to give perspective to Christian academics, so that they can take a position related to the above mentioned topic. From the results of a study of the Dead Sea Scroll's contribution in relation to the reliability of the Bible, Dead Sea Scroll is indeed a historical and important finding in the field of archeology, especially in connection with the Bible, but it must be realized that not because of archeological evidence that makes the Bible trusted, the Bible can be trusted so there is evidence.

Abstract

The greatest duty of believers is to preach the gospel. Therefore, various approaches to preaching the gospel, such as helping people who are experiencing natural disasters victims of the earthquake, tsunami and Corona Virus (Covid 19) and also preaching the gospel in accordance with the context of the recipient. So that the motivation of people to become Christians is not because they believe in Jesus. But because of the attitude and not the people who serve it. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the parable of the seed sowing: as an cross-cultural mission approach based on Mark 4: 1-20? The purpose of writing articles is to explain the parable of the seed sower: as a cross-cultural mission approach based on Mark 4: 1-20. By using the literature study method. The literature study method is collecting support information from books, journals and others, which supports sources of information for researching about the parable of the seed sower as a cross-cultural mission approach. The results of this research are: finding a comfortable position, using the opportunity as well as possible, giving confirmation, giving a new understanding, preaching the gospel in a cultural context.

Abstract

The issue of punishment for commercial sex offenders continues to be debated both in social, psychological, and legal aspects. Through this paper, the author presents a conceptual analysis related to the issue. For the writer, the punishment for commercial sex workers is not right. The author proposes a more human approach to refer to Jesus' actions. This coaching is expected to be more inclined to positive personal recovery from a woman or man who is a former commercial sex offender.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by anxiety about the challenges faced around the implementation of education in the city of Makassar. In that context Christian schools have major challenges in the social context of Makassar which is experiencing global developments. One of the challenges is how Christian schools are still able to dialogue about identity and purpose by utilizing cultural values ​​or local wisdom. The local wisdom in question is to raise the siri 'na pacce value. Siri 'na pacce is a virtue in the social community of Bugis-Makassar to maintain the integrity and purpose of their lives. The value of the siri’ na pacce is then dialogue with the value of integrity and purpose in biblical teaching that characterizes education in Christian schools. It was found that the value of the siri’ na pacce could be appointed as part of the establishment of the value of integrity to maintain the identity and purpose of education. With the implementation of the siri’ na pacce values, it is expected that Christian schools do not run away in their characteristics and objectives and are not trapped in exclusivity that results in alienation.

Abstract

Violence in courtship is a problem that requires handling from various parties, both partially and structured. The author uses a literature study approach to examine this issue. In this study emphasizes that there is a role for the church in providing guidance to adolescents to reduce the occurrence of violence in courtship. The church needs to provide a forum within the framework of fostering members of the congregation to minimize the occurrence of dating violence.

Abstract

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas isu tentang strategi optimalisasi kinerja kepemimpinan pelayanan gereja lokal. Kepemimpinan merupakan suatu objek yang menarik, yang sudah lama diteliti oleh para ilmuwan maupun praktisi organisasi. Hal ini didasarkan pada fenomena bahwa kepemimpinan merupakan bagian dari kehidupan umat manusia disegala tempat dan masa. Pemimpin merupakan katalisator untuk memastikan berhasil atau tidaknya suatu organisasi. Peran seorang pemimpin dalam proses kepemimpinan menyentuh fungsi-fungsi kepemimpinan, manajemen, dan administrasi dalam seluruh kerangka kerja dari struktur organisasi. Gereja sedang diperhadapkan dengan arus perubahan yang begitu cepat. Menyikapi realita ini, para pemimpin gereja dituntut untuk dapat melakukan perubahan paradigma sehingga mampu mengadakan pembaruan dalam berbagai bidang pelayanan untuk menghadapi tuntutan dan pergumulan pelayanan yang ada. Oleh sebab itu, artikel ini mengemukakan prinsip-prinsip penting guna mengoptimalkan peran strategis pemimpin guna meningkatkan kinerja kepemimpinan gereja lokal dalam melaksanakan tanggung jawab pelayanannya di tengah dunia.
