Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the perception of iEnglish Language Education students at STKIP AL MAKSUM Langkat towards online learning via Moodle during th Covid-19 pandemic. The qualitative descriptive method was carried out by distributing questionnaires using Google Form to 45 students of English Education STKIP AL MAKSUM Langkat. The questionnaire was distributed after completing the learning process for 3 months. The results of this study state that the use of the Moodle application provides a new experience in online learning activities, students can easily operate several features of the Moodle application, the learning process expects students to use the Moodle application, the Moodle application is one of e-learnin ithat can support learning activities online, the use of the Moodle application because classmates agree to use the Moodle application, and students can use the Moodle application easily in carrying out online learning activities.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar matematika pada materi volume kubus dan balok kurang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan belajar dan faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar pada materi volume kubus dan balok. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas V SD Swata Dharma Wanita JL. Melati Raya 2 Medan. Dengan populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 24 orang dan sekaligus sebagai sampel penelitian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakanyaitu angket, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa. (1) Kesulitan belajar pada materi volume kubus dan balok siswa kelas V SD Swasta Dharma Wanita Medan terletak pada kesulitan keterampilan, dan kesulitan pemecahan masalah. (2) Faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar pada materi volume kubus dan balok siswa kelas V SD swasta Dharma Wanita Medan adalah faktor motivasi belajar dan minat belajar yang masih berkriteria cukup.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran time token terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior Kab. Aceh Tenggara. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior yang berjumlah 15 orang siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 15 orang dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji prasyarat yakni menggunakan nilai normalitas dan homogenitas serta analisis statistik dengan menggunakan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran time token (X) terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa (Y) kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior Kecamatan Deleng Pokhkisen Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara, dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis yang diperoleh thitung>ttabel atau 5,586 > 0,514. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran time token terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa IV SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk mentransmisikan pengetahuan, keterampilan, nilai, dan budaya, seharusnya menjadi hal yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Di sekolah penambangan kecerdasan masih didominasi oleh kemampuan umum tunggal. Saat ini konsep baru kecerdasan ganda (yaitu kecerdasan linguistik, matematika, spasial, kinestetik, musik, interpresonal dan naturalis) telah dikembangkan. Ini membutuhkan proses mplanning, aktivitas, pengenalan multiple intelliogence dan pendidikan ilmu sosial, persiapan pembelajaran, keputusan strategi dan implementasi pembelajaran dan evaluasi untuk mengintergrasikan kecerdasan ganda dengan pendidikan sciende sosial. Kecerdasan adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh setiap orang untuk memecahkan persoalan dan menghasilkan produk dalam seuatu situasi yang bermacam-macam. Kecerdasan ganda atau kecerdasan majemuk yang dimiliki anak (Bahasa, Matematik, Spasial, Olah Raga, Seni, Antar Pribadi, Intra Pribadi, Lingkungan). Kegiatan pembelajaran oleh guru untuk mengembangkan kemampuan ganda/majemuk yang dimiliki, memberi ruang untuk dapat berkembang termasuk dalam aspek kehidupan sosial.

Abstract

The effect of reading purpose on the reading comprehension was studied at Madrasah Alyah Diniyah Riau.The aim was to know and identify the effect of reading purpose on the reading comprehension of 12th-grade students 2021 – 2022 Academic Year at Madrasah Alyah Diniyah Riau . A mixed-method approach and quantitative and qualitative of an ex-post-facto study was applied. The 42 of 12th-grade IPA and IPS students of Madrasah Alyah Diniyah Riau 2021–2022 academic year were taken as sample by using the purposive sampling technique. The instrument of questionnaire and a test of reading comprehension were used to collect the data. Hypothesis testing (t-test) were used to analyse the collected data. From the analysis result it was found that the t-value = 277,543 > t-table 1,689 with a sig. value of 0,000 < 0.05,it can be interpreted that reading purpose affected the reading comprehension of Grade XII students 2021 – 2022 Academic Year of Madrasah Alyah Diniyah Riau

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Perhatian Orang Tua Terhadap Minat Belajar Dan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, populasinya seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior, sampelnya 17 orang, teknik samplingnya menggunakan Nonprobabiliti Sampling jenis sampling purposive, instrument pengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi, wawancara dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji t-test dan uji Multivariate Analisist of Variance (MANOVA) dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS.Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa dari tabel output uji t-test minat belajar peserta didik nilai Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000. Sedangkan dari tabel output uji t-test prestasi belajar peserta didik diketahui nilai Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000. Berdasarkan kriteria pengambilan keputusan 0,000 < 0,05, maka Hoditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara perhatian orang tua terhadap minat dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Ranto Dior. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari tabel output uji Multivariate menunjukkan bahwa harga F untuk Pillai’s Trace, Wilk’s Lambda, Hotelling’s Trace, Roy’s Largest Root pada kelompok memiliki signifikansi yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 yaitu 0,033 < 0,05. Artinya harga F untuk Pillai’s Trace, Wilk’s Lambda, Hotelling’s Trace, Roy’s Largest Root semuanya signifikan. Dengan demikian Hoditolak dan Ha diterima.

Abstract

The writer did a research of fifth semester English department students at Faculty of Art and Nommensen HKBP University Medan. This research entitled : Morphological Error Analysis on Word Classes Found in Students’ Descriptive Writing of The Fifth Semester English Department at Nommensen HKBP University (NHU)- Medan The writer asked the students to write a descriptive text. When they did the test, they felt confuse to write words with correct morphology. The result of the analysis was found that they knew about morphology, but they are confused to apply that. After they finished to write a descriptive text, the writer analyzed them. The writer underlined and classified the errors into four word classes on Morphological error. There are four word classes of morphological Errors, they are noun morphological errors, verb morphological errors, adjective morphological errors and adverb morphological errors . The result of the analysis, the writer concluded that there are four word classes was found by the writer, namely noun morphological errors, verb morphological errors, adjective morphological errors, and adverb morphological error. The data of morphological erors are found 154 errors. The percentage of errors in noun morphological was 52 errors i.e, 33,8%, errors of verb morphological was 91 errors or, 59,0%, errors of adjective morphological was 7 errors i.e, 4.6%, and error of adverb morphological was 4 errors i.e, 2.6%. The result of the analysis was found that the students knew about morphology but they are still confused to write words based on the correct morphology, so they made the errors. Looking at the percentage it shows verb morphological was 91 errors or 59,0%, of 154 errors, it means that verb is mostly used in a text, to express the ideas or activities . Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the level of understanding of business vocabulary in Chinese STBA-PIA students in semester VI T.A. 2018/2019. The researcher used descriptive quantitative research method with saturated sampling technique, and the number of samples was 33 people. The instrument used is a test question. Data collection techniques by giving exams. The test results show that the business vocabulary skills of STBA-PIA students in semester VI T.A. 2018/2019 is categorized as “highly incompetent”. The average score of students is 50.30 and as many as 27 students (82%) are categorized as not passing the exam with a score below 70, and 6 students (18%) are categorized as passing the exam (4 people are quite competent and 2 people are competent). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana tingkat kemampuan pemahaman kosakata bisnis bahasa Mandarin mahasiswa STBA-PIA semester VI T.A. 2018/2019. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik sampling jenuh, dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal ujian. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan memberikan ujian. Hasil ujian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kosakata bisnis bahasa Mandarin mahasiswa STBA-PIA semester VI T.A. 2018/2019 dikategorikan “sangat tidak kompeten”. Nilai rata-rata mahasiswa adalah 50,30 dan sebanyak 27 orang mahasiswa (82%) dikategorikan tidak lulus ujian dengan nilai di bawah 70, dan 6 orang mahasiswa (18%) dikategorikan lulus ujian (4 orang cukup kompeten dan 2 orang kompeten).

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) find out whether collocation improves students' vocabulary competence (2) find the type of collocation that is most developed in students' vocabulary competence. This research combined qualitative data and quantitative data, where quantitative data was used to support qualitative data. The subject in this research were high school students of grade XI Wellington Intelligence School. The number of students was 39 students consisting of two classes (22 students in science class and 17 students in social class). The instruments used consist of interviews, observations, documents, and tests. This study adopted descriptive statistics to describe the main features of the data set. The average score of each test, including pre-test and post-test, were used to analyze the data. The results showed that collocation can improve students' vocabulary competence. The students' initial average was 70 for science students and 68.23 for social students. While the final average value showed an increase in the value of 82.72 for science students and 80.58 for social studies students. There were more student errors in the interpretation of lexical collocations than in the interpretation of grammatical collocations. Abstract

This study deals with turn taking strategies. The study aims to investigate the types of turn taking strategies used by lecturers ans students, to find out how turn taking strategy realized and to identify the dominant types used by lecturers and students. This studey uses descriptive qualitative research design which employed two data collection techniques, i.e. observation and video recording. The number of data that containing types of turn taking strategy is 200 data. The data are, then, analyzed by using theory from Strenstrom (2001). Techniques of analyzing data is by classifying the data based on their types, then the data will be count in each category to make the analysis more comprehensive by knowing which category ranks the highest and vice versa. Finally the result will be put in findings. The results of the research indicates that: the dominant type used by lecturers in semantics class, kajian budaya and technology of translation, are prompting strategy, meanwhile in akustik dan organologi class, the lecturer used taking over and prompting strategy as the dominant types. Meanwhile the students used the same dominant types in four different class, they are taking over strategy. While the types that is not used at all in four different classes are the silent pause strategy and giving up strategy.
