Abstract

Every country has different environmental problems that have an impact on the variety of policies and implementation of environmental education. The development of environmental education is dynamic and attracts attention so that it is always discussed in order to find solutions. Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT) in Indonesia also need to consider it as a major part of their education even though the leveled schools from elementary to secondary level have specificities in the implementation of Islamic character. The offer of literature on environmental education policies is described, although not in its entirety, it is selected in order to obtain an important strategy for its implementation in SIT education. The three policies have provided insight into how environmental education should be applied in SIT. The combination strategy with acculturation and habituation is expected to provide a buffering force for character education for all parties involved in integrated education from an integrated Islamic school.

The importance of this research is because a growing issue in society says that Ma’had Al-Zaytun carries a hidden agenda of "building the Islamic State of Indonesia in the long term". This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods: observation, participation and interviews. The results of this study are as follows: there has been a change in the social basis during the years 1970-1990. The change in the social basis is a change in the generation of the senior Indonesian Islamic State bearers with the pressure of the struggle for structural Islamic ideology to the new generation which emphasizes on the inclusive substantive Islamic struggle. The choice of the new generation's model of struggle is Ma’had Al-Zaytun. This is an articulation of Islam and Indonesiannes that makes Islam a spreader of peace, not a spreader of threats.

Abstract

The direction of the Qibla is very important in salat prayer. Having to know the direction means being part of a series of prerequisite prayer requirements. For the people of Mecca and those who live there, Qibla is not a problem because they do not experience difficulties in determining it. However, for countries and cities outside Mecca in the State of Saudi Arabia it is a very important issue as to which direction the Qibla to the Ka'bah is right to accurate. There are several methods that have been invented and have been practiced and achieved accurate results, but not all ulama of fiqh can fully accept them. Through the study of Indonesian literature on the direction of the Qibla and discussed with descriptive qualitative, opinions and reasons are further explored that help address the need for discussion in astronomy. Not all circles are capable of accepting technological developments, there are some groups who refuse that it is sufficient to determine the direction of the Qibla facing west. Among the groups who reject it, namely traditional scholars or ancient kyai, they believe that the mosque built by the wali cannot be wrong or may not face the Qibla.

Abstract

The terms in the philosophy of Islamic education need more attention because of the variety of content and methods that sometimes appear paradoxes in their studies. This could be the result of the theoritization of Islamic education which was still dominated by classical Islamic thinkers in the pre-modern era. Moreover, the term philosophy is still not recognized as a part of comprehensive Islamic studies. Through historical research, this article intends to explore further the basic terms of Islamic education which are infused from Arabic. Rather than other terms, ta'dib has a historical syncornization and scope that corresponds to the fact that education is a human right in a scope that includes the basics in the Quran and Hadith.

The Al-Muayyad Islamic boarding school as one of the oldest Islamic schools in the urban area of Surakarta is encouraged to become a driving force for the entrepreneurial based on the pesantren-based digital creative economy sector through the participatory action research (PAR) approach. The PAR approach was chosen because it has the characteristics of the joint process between the research subject and the researcher as a trigger and the Al-Muayyad urban santri is positioned as an active subject subject with a myriad of potential socioeconomic knowledge and experience. With the inclusion of entrepreneurial influence in urban pesantren such as al-Muayyad, students can be directly involved through the use of social digital media in marketing and introducing local products and potentials around the pesantren or their place of origin. It is hoped that pesantren can advance the Indonesian state towards the 2015 ASEAN Community by the people and for the people digitally through the active participation of the Ministry of Communication and Information and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia as a catalyst.

Abstract

the basic principles of Islamic boarding school education, namely; Al Muhafadhah ala al-qadim al shalih wa al akhdzu bi al jadid al ashlah. This principle has encouraged pesantren to maintain good old Islamic values without denying better changes. This paper intends to explore two sides of the coin for Pondok Persantren where one side is a distinct advantage for but can be a boomerang that hinders the progress of Islamic education based on understanding the basic elements and values of Islamic boarding schools and, then contributing thoughts in building a holistic Islamic boarding school education so that can follow the development of science without losing the obligation to maintain basic values. Holistic pesantren education can only be achieved if it is reaffirmed that the elements of the boarding school education system are not oriented towards learning religious knowledge but how kyai, teachers / ustaz and santri can learn to live in religion.
