Abstract

Amin Abdullah is a productive thinker in the arena of Indonesian Muslim scholars. Amin is not only able to synthesize among many conflicting arguments, but also more than that He is able to produce an intelligent and accommodating concept, so that a concept can be an answer to the problems raised. Amin Abdullah is an Islamic thinker in Indonesia. At first he was a santri whose life was full of conservative things. Even the pesantren learning system in Indonesia today is learning that emphasizes more on the rote system and not on the system of thought. But an Amin Abdullah has now become a thinker, even now many people call him an Indonesian philosopher. Amin Abdulah's thought is known for being so contemporary, because when viewed from various scientific writings he presents many present-day problems. Current issues that are often raised are problems in the post modern era, the dynamics of cultural Islam, and mapping of contemporary Islamic discourse.

Abstract

Philosophical Sufism has emerged clearly in Islamic treasures since the sixth century Hijrah even though the characters were only known later in the century. Since then, this type of Sufism lived and developed, especially among Sufis who were also philosophers, until near lately. The existence of a combination of Sufism and philosophy in philosophical Sufism teachings led to the teachings of Sufism of this type mixed with a number of philosophical teachings outside of Islam, such as Greece, Persia, India, and Christianity. However, his originality as Sufism still does not disappear.Keywords: Sufism, Philosophy

Abstract

This paper explores the idea of Muhammad Arkoun who seeks to criticize the reasoning of classical Islam. Thought Arkoun is affected by movement (post) structuralist French. Arkoun historicism method used is the formulation of the social sciences inventions of modern Western thinkers (post) structuralist French. The main reference is De Sausure (linguistics), Levi Strauss (anthropology), Lacan (psychology), Barthes (semiology), Foucault (epistemology), Derrida (grammatologi), French philosopher Paul Ricour, anthropologists such as Jack Goody and Pierre Bourdieu. Arkoun borrows many concepts of the (post) structuralism for later introduction into the area of Islamic studies. Concepts such as corpus, Epistema, discourse, deconstruction, myth, logocentrism, the pitch, and not thought out, parole, aktant and others, is proof that Arkoun was brought up in an arena of struggle with (post) structuralism.

Abstract

The nine Wali’s are believed to be very firm by the Javanese as the first stone foundation of Islam in Java. One of the nine guardians is Sunan Kalijaga. Sunan Kalijaga was very attached to the hearts of the Muslims in Java, more than anything else. The main advantage of it is its ability to incorporate the influence of Islam on the habits of Javanese people. The love of the Javanese who cannot be separated from the puppets caused him to include Islamic saga in wayang games.

Abstract

The philosophy of kalam is an integral part of the basic teachings of a religion adopted by a Muslim. But it is rather strange, if it is said that in the History of Islamic Civilization, the first problem that arises is in the field of politics and not on the issue of theology. But this political problem soon increased rapidly to become a matter of theology. Abstract

In order for us to be more calm, I am convinced that we must use all our abilities to continue the future figure. That's what I'm trying to do. I want to show that however there is a meaning in all things that seem meaningless, which surrounds us. You see, the picture might seem chaotic, but "chaos" is not the right word to describe this reality. In physics, chaos is not true. Khaos actually states that there is a pattern underlying theality; and there are reasons why certain things happen. However, among those reasons there is space, there is a chance, so you can do something different in terms of things. And that's what really excites me in the midst of all the uncertainties, even anarchy, that are happening around us. Why because it means that the future is not entirely determined. Even in physics the events are not entirely determined¬ which means that the soft flapping of a butterfly's wing or whatever I do, how small it is can really change the world even if only a little.

Abstract

Perennial Philosophy (Philosophy Perennis) is the most monumental work of Seyyed Hossein Nasr's thought, and with that thought he succeeded in bringing together the religion of Islam, philosophy and Science which he said would remain forever. As a universal religion Islam is a continuation of the religions that have been revealed to the apostles, starting Adam a.s. arrived at the Prophet Muhammad. the whole religion is called al-Islam, which in essence is a total surrender to God.Even so according to Nasr, even though Islam and western religions and traditions have equality in several respects, Muslims must not take Western values and views for granted. There must be cech and balance, there must be criticism and auto criticism regarding Western ontology, especially dealing with modern science. The importance of criticizing the basis of modern science ontology, according to Nasr, is because ontology is the most fundamental part of the development of science.Keyword : Religion, Philosophy Perennis, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr

Abstract

The relevance of Sufism in modern human life confirms the importance of Sufism in the dimensions of modern society's life, because sufism can color all activities that have social, political, economic and national cultural dimensions. Sufism can be practiced by every Muslim, from any social layer and any where. Sufism is present in an interesting form primarily by emphasizing continuity rather than a change in the beliefs and practices of local religious traditions.

Abstract

Philosophical footing unlike modern Islamic science is to be distinguished from the philosophical foundation of Islamic science. Indeed, the main concern of the notion of Islamic science is closely related to the basic philosophy of science issues is growing and is recognized today including science paradigms and methodologies developed in the modern world that is more influenced by the thinking paradigm of the modern secular Western philosophy. This implies bias in epistemology and axiology which, between science and moral paradigm developed in Islam. In the practical level of science that was developed to be dried from a religious touch, as a result of these conditions afflict various disciplines of knowledge that has been studied by Islamic Philosophy. Therefore, Muslims increasingly need to differentiate between Islam and science that is not Islamic. Today, not many intellectual issues are more important to the contemporary Islamic world beyond the relationship between Islamic Philosophy and modern science.

Abstract

This paper examines further the hadith about the creation of women from the ribs by displaying various related hadith texts, the men-takhrij sanad, analyzing their matan through the comments of the authoritative scholars. This is based on the assumption of feminists that the hadith is a gender bias or "mysoginist" - from the aspect of the sanad dho'if and comes from israiliyat, while the matan is contrary to the verses of the Koran (Surat an-Nisa: 1). From here it is found that in the sanad the hadith is valid, because all the rites are tsiqat. Although the hadith contains Israiliyat, it does not reduce its validity because it does not conflict with Aqeedah and the teachings of Islam. This hadith is not contrary to Qs. Nisa, verse: 1, is actually used as an explanation as found in At-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, Ar-Razi, and Thantawi. There are two views in interpreting the hadith, namely textual and metaphorical. The different ways of interpreting it are not tadhadd (contradictory) but only tanawwu '(diverse). In addition, this meaning does not necessarily make women inferior to men, because in the Islamic perspective, glory is not measured from the origin of creation. Therefore, the rejection and accusation of Muslim feminists regarding the hadith is wrong.
